And the worst thing is that there’s no other “good” racing game where I could enjoy tuning, and spend whole day on multiplayer races, tried going back to fh5, just to see no one in online races (only some noobs that can’t drive), and when I saw they added this funny oval race to multiplayer i just alt+F4.
Ovals should not be added to normal races, even in motorsport, all ovals should just have separate playlist lol.

But these people surely buy Horizon as well. And I don’t think Horizon has much to envy to Gran Turismo in terms of success.
And the brand could be selling even more if both FM & FH were popular, but they seem to have let FM rot, which caused FM’s popularity to plummet.
It’s objectively the best aspect of the game, regardless of one’s subjective opinion.

Technically it’s probably possible. Question is whether MS would care to invest M-O-N-E-Y to fix it.

with all the love I have for the Motorsport series, I think the launch was chaotic and the radio silence from the main directors is proof of that
It’s unfinished, although I’m still having a lot of fun. It’s not far from being a commercial failure, and combined with their complicated workforce management (according to recent accounts)… there’s little chance of Forza Motorsport rising from the ashes.
What saddens me the most is knowing that, beyond the FOMO content etc., they’re going to pull out all the stops (2026 at least) and then what? Well, no more Motorsport

I would vote but it misses another choice I think.
They could turn this around, it not too late but they won’t have the capacity to do it. This game is in this state because they are under employing and exploiting the devs most likely. Therefore I don t see why it should be different now ? There is probably even less people working on it right now than during the development so …
So my answer is no and because of the management.
i think it is to late. what should they fix, the whole game?
now after research and proven facts, it came to daylight they didnt even build the nordschleife “from the ground up”.
a proper open MP with user created rooms and a nice lobby system like in GT7 the game might survive for some die hard fans.
Motorsport is dead and only exists to supply resources to Horizon. This game could’ve been a turning point for T10, but the release was so bad, I don’t see the franchise ever recovering from it.
I think Motorsport began to die when FH3 was released, as FH3 was a huge hit and drew lots of new people into Forza. People then realized they preferred the more casual approach. Microsoft tried to turn Forza into a racing COD, but they couldn’t make people transition from FH3 to FM7. Most FH players would rather wait for FH4 instead. This was not due to FM7’s (lack of) quality, but simply customer’s taste.
If this was EA and not Microsoft with infinite money, FM would’ve been killed off already and T10 would’ve been closed.

They have calculated their profits, didn’t expect any backlash from releasing an unfinished game, and that’s how we’re here.

Horizon is a bloated mess with a whole different set of issues

It will improve, but i doubt it will ever become the game that it should have been.

whether they can or not isn’t even the question worth asking, in my opinion. whether it’s even worth it to try is the real question, and to me, the answer is no. a lot of people have made up their mind and this game has such a bad reputation at this point that i genuinely think just ditching it and making a new one is the better option.
but even then, i doubt that happens. i think what actually happens is that the motorsport side of forza just gets abandoned and we only get horizon games for the forseeable future. i think microsoft looks at this game and decides people just don’t want forza motorsport anymore and ditches it.

Good shout this, unfortunately, numbers will dictate the outcome and we all know what they’re like.
And it has 15 times more players on Steam on a bad day.
That’s right, but you’re overlooking a little thing: This Forza is supposed to be the last one ever, the basis for expansions. A live service game. If you stick to this plan, you will be making an investment that will pay off over many years. And MS simply needs a competitor to GT. Horizon is more of a fun racer. That’s why I don’t think it’s that unlikely that Forza will continue to be worked on.
That`s not true. Forza is created as a live service game, the base of upcoming content.
That’s why I said they have calculated their profits, all post-launch content has been made and now they’re just dripfeeding it to us.
motosport > horizon, even in this state [for players that want to race]

I voted that I think they can, because I hope they can. But the game is definitely in a terrible state…
Fingers crossed.
