I was competing in the Class C ghost league last night, and noticed that on pretty much every single race, my final position in the results table was one place LOWER than I’d actually finished, and there was also one extra competitor listed.
For example, in a particular race, I crossed the line in 7th out of 10 cars, as displayed on my HUD. But when the official results screen came up, I was placed 8th out of 11 cars. What gives? Was it because there was one driver on the grid who appeared to not be racing as they were permanently static in their starting grid position, causing a glitch?
That is due to a known glitch in the game. If someone is lagging in game and you see their car just sitting on the track that person may very well be racing and you have no idea where that person is actually located during the race. The good news is that that person wont lag bump all over the place the bad news is that if to him he’s in sixth then he is in sixth and not you.

This really is a dumb question, but are those cars that are sitting there ghosted? Just as an example, there was one sitting on the grid at Road Atlanta in a league race right in the racing line (right at the turn-in for the last corner), I couldn’t quite work up the nerve to try going through the car to find out, and lost probably a second a lap going around them. It’s worth noting that as far as I could see, everyone else was going around as well.
ahhh, ok, thanks. It was the same guy in every race, just sitting on the grid, so that probably does explain it.
Yes they are ghosted. Especially in ghost leagues
