Why don’t you get to the point???

Are you talking about that the change to drift scoring was made over a year ago (and according to a YouTube video the change was not even mentioned in the changelog…) ? Well, better late than never. Same is true for cheat protection. At least they are starting to clean up the leaderboards. They never cared during the whole lifespan of FH4… Yes, it’s extremely late, but a step (of hopefully many more to follow) in the right direction…

Sorry for a post that is not all pessimistic and cynical…

While I do appreciate the fact that they are finally addressing this, plenty of legit times have been wiped, and not just from drifts. They’ve also left plenty of blatantly obvious unachievable times while removing real times. Hopefully they can find a more accurate way to remove as many of the unachievable ones as possible.

This is what worries me the most. Instead of developing an algorithm to identify and purge the cheater scores, they seem to do this manually with the Mark I eyeball, which would be astonishing for a company that is supposed to have employees that can sling code and SQL around a database at will.

Just me then ?

I get that some like trying and placing (and that’s fine) but I couldn’t care less about the leaderboards. I’ll never be high on them (which is also fine by me). Especially with all the obvious cheats making them meaningless. But this ? Fix the leaderboard cheats by deleting ALL scores ? And of course it won’t fix the leaderboard cheats either. Can they get any more lazy or lame about “fixing” the game and bragging about it ?

OK, maybe they aren’t bragging, maybe it was an apology ? “Dear players, we can’t fix the leaderboards, all we can do is reset everything. Sorry. We’ll keep resetting them every month, when we think of it, to erase the cheats for a day. OK ?”
