Just bought FM7 on win10 last night and downloaded all night and it seems when done i get 0x80070005

It finished downloading but wont let me finalize it says access denied. I have mail and something also doing this but a few days ago my other games on the store downloaded fine on my pc.

I tried sfc
I tried dism restore
I set my local packages to not read only and made sure i had full access to it as well
I tried windows account manager
I tried windows store reset app
I checked my time and region everything is fine
I tried installing it on my D: drive and C: drive

My other windows games play fine and they update fine until i bought fm7 last night now it seemed to mess things up? Very odd it breaks soon as i bought this game…

I tried many other things but nothing seems to work. I called MS and they are so clueless i wasted many hours talking to them and they tell me the basic trouble shooting and they would not refund me… I am out of ideas and i tried all the stuff people said to do that i found on google search. I been using a computer and trouble shooting since the late 80’s so i am not brain dead when it comes to pc.

Any ideas?

You’re not the only one.
The past 2 weeks of windows updates have bricked various devices- to the point where some wouldn’t even boot.
I’m going to go out on a limb and blame this on that… what version of windows are you running?

I’m currently having the same issue and just telling you up front, microsoft doesn’t care. I’ve seen forum posts about it from Oct 2017 saying “The devs have been made aware” with no fix.

There is a temporary fix. If you reinstall all the DLC it should work for about 12 hours.
If the DLC fix doesn’t work, reinstall the entire game (yep, the entire 70something GB) for another 12 hours.

I wish I had saved my money on this game. I loved other forza titles but I’ve spent more time waiting for this game to work than playing it. I wish you luck in finding a solution mate.
