That makes the two of us. I have however, earned enough money to buy several of them if I wanted to. Money is so easy to come buy I’m happy if I earn a car in a wheelspin and I don’t really mind if I get 6000 (lowest VIP wheelspin) because hey, that one race worth of credits.
After 360 spins i lost my ambitions to look forwrd to the next.
Like some others mentioned, credits are useless when you have all the cars, but 85.000 XP for the next spin and getting 3300 credits still sucks!
To be fair,i got roundabout 100 cars, the RUF and the LFA were the expensive ones…
Please everyone stop saying we’re getting credits “for free.” We buy the game and can expect to get cars with it. Wheelspins and race earnings are the mechanic that governs the rate at which something you already bought will be given to you. It’s not just a reward — it’s the whole game. We’re so used to DLC now that if Mario Brothers came out today, you’d be telling me to be grateful Luigi was thrown in.
My response to that is that overall the balance is ok.
It is only an issue if you plan to own 1 of every car and do not play the game enough.
Once I got to the 1,000 gamerscore I was only a handful of cars off owning them all, so I could choose which modes I enjoyed to earn the cash for those cars. Including rewards it was not that tough.
I know the balance may not suit everyone but for me it was ok.
I’m certainly not arguing with you. I’ve got most of the cars and all of the ones I really want. And I’m not done playing the game yet. Most of my CR goes into to tinkering with tuning right now. I’ll just say it again: the only thing I’m frustrated by is continually rolling this game’s equivalent of snake eyes, not with the amount of CR I’m getting in general. It hasn’t seemed unfair to me (although I have the VIP double-payouts — I don’t know how I’d feel without it). I love the game and the time I’ve put into it would suggest it’s one of my favorites – ever. Frankly, I’m just surprised nobody else said “yeah, I agree, coming up in the low 4-digits is such a bitch.” Apparently, you guys are philosophers all.
I don’t know what to do with all the cars I’ve won. I’ve modded the 037 to Group B specs and the LFA’s now sitting on a nice set of HRE rims. I drive the Countach from time to time because it’s a very nice ride, but… What about the other 30 or so cars they’ve given me? They’re sitting in my virtual garage, catching virtual dust and when I’ll decide to take them for a virtual spin I guess I’ll even have to chase some virtual spider away! And I HATE spiders!
; P
Can’t say the Wheelspin is… Not generous enough. You can definitely win worthy prizes, loads of them and in succession - I should know, having won more than 20 high-end cars and >100,000 credits at least ten times in my 110-ish Wheelspins. But I guess either Horizon 2 loves me or I’m being lucky for once! And I even get annoyed for real when a four-digit payout appears, so I think I can sympathize with you.
Keep in mind AlienRekx could be a 360 player, where wheel spins don’t exist.
That being said, I kind of wish the prizes for wheel spins got better as you leveled up as I feel wheel spins heavily supplement the income from events and races. Best case scenario, you will get about 10,000 credits for a race regardless of how much progress you have made in the Horizon Championship, this contrasts to FH1 where race payouts got better as you progressed through the championship. There are no races that pay close to 100,000 credits if you turn all the assists off, payouts will for the most part top out at a little over 10,000 credits depending on how many assists you have on.
Fortunately wheel spins kind of save the day as there can be some fairly hefty cash prizes, even more if you are a VIP. However, as you level the gap between ranks increases, and in turn wheel spins become less frequent thus having the effect of a player actually making less money overall as he/she gains XP, With that in mind, it is frustrating when you are around level 350 with about 75,000+ XP between ranks (and increasing) only to have your wheel spin reward you with 3,000 or so credits. Given that you can no longer get parts for free like the original game (after smashing every bonus board) plus there seem to be more cars that top the seven-digit 1,000,000+ CR range for price, it can feel a bit overwhelming at times trying to have enough credits to buy stuff. Granted, I’m not saying we should be able to buy everything easily but I feel FH2 kind of dips into that area of having to grind too much.
No, the two games do not share save game data and are two different games entirely. If you get the game on Xbox One, you start at the beginning of the game and level 1, like everyone else on Xbox One when they started. The reason CoD let’s you do this is because they build one game and port it over to the other console with a few minor tweaks to make the Xbox One version “different”.
I think the opposite of this and I believe the game is deliberately designed the opposite.
It is easier for lower level players to get credits/cars than high ranked players. It is to encourage the low ranked players to keep playing because the high ranked players tend to play anyway.
If you make it hard early and easy later it really impacts the part time players.
be careful what you wish for, you might get it. i wanted to buy every car in fm5, until i had them. it took the fun out of winning. what do i get now? more credits i cant spend? i cant even give away? i get…nothing. and now it takes more forever to scroll thru all the cars to get the one tuned for the track and class that wins the vote before the timer runs out. it made the game more of a chore not less, and it removed the reward. i’m back to playing fm4 where i still dont own everything yet. where i really still get usable reward, rewards that mean something.
FYI: I find you get better prizes from wheelspins the less you have them stacked up & the more often you use them. =P
I’ve seen more than one occasion where I’ve never gotten 110,000cr from over 50+ wheel spins that where stacked, but I have gotten several 110,000cr prizes from using only 3 stacked wheelspins. Curiouser and curiouser! =P
My theory: the less wheelspins you have stacked, the better prizes you’ll get from them. ^.~
Of course, I could of just been extremely lucky, but it has happened more than once and is what I’ve been seeing. ^.^
Did you also sacrifice a goat to the random number generator gods? I had bad luck with my spins but once I went out and bought a goat to sacrifice everything changed.
It’s a random numbers lottery guys, it is all based purely on luck and chance.
