Inappropriate Content

Anyone else having a problem? I’ve been having a problem for the past couple of days trying to share tunes. I’m trying to write a description for my tune and I keep getting an inappropriate content pop up saying it’s picked up on somthing inappropriate and please try again. Nothing I type is inappropriate at all. I’ll give an example of what I just tryed to share and I had to go back and change and I have no idea why. It doesn’t say what word so I’m left guessing deleting words until it let’s me share it and I still don’t know what words were “dirty” This is what I put and it says it’s inappropriate - “Going to stall no mater what type of gearing you put on it” as you can see, nothing is inappropriate about that lol. I kept deleting words and it still says it’s inappropriate. I don’t know but I’m lost here as to why it’s doing this. It happened yesterday and the day before. I’m putting nothing inappropriate and it still says I am.

If you share it named simply as “Forza” does it work?

From a related thread in the Support forum:

See also this as a possibly temporary cause:

By the way it’s an in game screen, so I don’t think it has to do with has Xbox live it’s self. The inappropriate content screen that comes up is part of the game. It’s not an actual Xbox live pop up window.

forza uses the same filters that’s why , as explained in the previous reply

Yes it works, it’s not the name that’s the problem its the description. But I tried putting forza in the description as well and it works. You’re probably right as to what they posted on Twitter, that’s probably the temporary cause of this even though they don’t say what is wrong.

Yeah it’s an issue in all games, but it can be especially finnicky in Forza.

Big Red Trans Am.

bzzzt NO

Big Trans Am Red.

Xbox Live’s language filters are used - T10 doesn’t make the filter.

The issue is that Xbox’s filters are notoriously over dramatic and overly sensitive, often blocking words out that are perfectly normal lol.

Yep, I see this now. I guess I must have been getting lucky if people are saying it’s been happening since day one. I just never heard about it before and it only started happening a few days ago. It happens to me all the time now, almost every time I go to put a description for a tune.

I had this at the weekend too. Created a layer group for Kumho Tyres, and no matter what I called it (variations on “Kumho Tyres”), I couldn’t share it at all. Weird…

I could tell you why Kumho tyres is getting flagged, but i’d likely receive a ban from the forums for it. lol
It’s just very over-sensitive as kids also use the service and so they need to be protected from more adult themes.

Haha I think I know the reason  Not going to say it here either. Also doesn’t make sense saying they need to protect it from the little kids that play the game when they have Trojan condom cars, rapist vans that say free candy, and Herbert’s ice cream truck with a “dirty” menu thats hidden in context. None of that stuff gets banned. They’re mostly on all the busses and big trucks.

Sorry, but you are WRONG. ALL of that stuff draws bans from Turn 10. Promise.

If you have evidence otherwise, feel free to PM me the information.

i think we’re on the same wavelength, as I did think that even with slightly different spellings, euphemisms for, ahem…“gentlemans relish” and “a lady of questionable virtue” might have been the cause lol. I tried a few different variations to avoid that, and it still wouldn’t let me share it. It’s a genuine manufacturer after all!

Yeah, i’ve seen all of those things taken off the store. I’ve seen people come on these forums and ask why they were banned cos it can’t have been their “Humorous” van paint jobs. Turn 10 take those things very seriously for the most part. It’s not like that kind of thing is subtle.

Not only are those items violations of the Xbox Live Code of Conduct, but the manufacturers do not want their vehicles depicted in such a manner.

The regulations include:

"CONTENT IN XBOX LIVE

What is considered content in Xbox Live?

I tied to share a tune named “the” and it was Inappropriate Content . Its a bug once you get Inappropriate Content all you are going to get is Inappropriate Content until you back out I think.

Yeah I think it does stick until you back out. But thankyou snowowl for sharing the list again. People need reminding every now and again what is and isn’t appropriately sadly.
What people do in private with their cars i don’t care, but my kids watch me playing and play Forza themselves, so It’s a different matter online. Plus the game is rated 3 and up in many territories. People need to be mindful of that during online interactions, including making paints for cars.

Yeah, there’s a fair bit of collateral damage in the war against egregious vocabulary!
