It said I posted inappropriate content when I didn't!

It won’t let me post anymore pictures. I want to know why it says I posted inappropriate content when I didn’t.

Where did it say that? Which version are you playing, on the 360 or Xbox One?

If you got a notification on the screen when you tried to post, change the title of the item or your Description line. The Xbox Live filters don’t allow certain words. It has nothing to do with the game itself, but Live and their filters.

Xbox One

I changed the description multiple times and it still didn’t work.

Okay, give me FULL details. What are you doing when you see that message, have you received an in-game message saying you’re banned for (xxx hours) or not?

All communication is handled through the game, not via email from the developers, and that is where you would receive the message. Are you able to view/post Vinyls?

Every time I go to post a photo with or without a description it gives me a message that says “INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT - You specified something that was blocked by the language filter. Please try again.” I then try again and no matter what it still gives me the same message.

It doesn’t say I am banned at all. It just doesn’t let me post. All I get is that message.

They said my account has been assigned a moderator and I have no idea why.

I had some similar problems. Apparently “city” and “urban” or on the list. Once a changed the FILE NAME to “pocket rocket” it went through.

I get this all the time when uploading tunes.

Once I wrote “…Holds the line better than Napoleon at Waterloo” and it gave the the inappropriate language message.

I just broke a rib. LMBO…

That might be the most amazing thing I’ve ever read on the forum.

You need items in the title of the item, and descriptor lines filled in, probably. Ironically, there are some models of Ferrari (the ones with letters) which will trip the filter warnings, too. There is nothing either Turn 10 or Playground Games can do, those are universal to ALL games on Live.

LOL. It’s funny, but really sad and true. I can’t post things with my (Real) name on them because it trips the filter. Some company names or words also trip the filter. The word filter is for Xbox Live and the developers have no control over it.

If they have no control why do I have to go through a moderator on this site?

This is a website for the gaming community of Forza Titles that is put out by the game developers. You are under moderation here while you have the rank “Driver’s Permit” - once you reach a certain post count and have shown that you are an active community member the moderation is lifted. This forum is separate from the game and does not use Xbox Live. Therefore, any filters and limits here are put in place by two parties, a) the administrators or owners of the forum, and b) the forum hosting service.

I can make a paint in Forza or a custom class within Battlefield or Call of Duty and if I put the word “rifle” or “urban” in the name, it will be filtered on all 3. This is because the games are connected to Xbox Live and any game that uses Xbox Live is subject to the word filter used by Microsoft and xbox Live. As you can see, in this post the words are not filtered, but they wouldn’t be allowed on the console.

Word filters can be confusing as well.

I have seen some where a word is fine but another word that has the same definition but even tamer is somehow offensive.

Anyone here play Pokemon? Try getting a Bulbasaur or a Cofagrigus over the gts without a nickname. Not sure if it holds true in gen 6 but it did in older ones. I guess that is similar to the ferrari example.

I tried posting a picture that had the exact same name and description as something that worked before and it gave me the same message. Everything was the same but now it won’t share at all. It doesn’t make any sense.

Yeah, nothing is working. I don’t even put a description in and it tells me I have inappropriate content… Then I go to the next image and it uploads fine. Go back to the image with the issue, and it persists in giving me the error message, regardless of change to the description. I know my gamertag is not very appropriate, but that would not explain my ability to flawlessly upload custom vinyls, paint jobs, and select photos.
Maybe if I didn’t have to share the photos in order to get them on my PC this wouldn’t be a problem… unless anyone knows some alternative magical way to extract the pictures from the game.
