In game currency, still needs a fix.

You have 2 years before the next one. (if you don’t get Horizon in fall which has been leaked but not confirmed). Take your time and enjoy the game.

It’s already easier to earn credits than in any other Forza IMHO. You just need to do more than career mode. Do Rivals and FreePlay as well as online games.

takes longer to level up? it only takes 17k xp to level up now. in fm4 it took up to 150 xp to level up or something from level 23-24 or something like that. race thru the career, you should earn enough money to buy and upgrade the cars before you need them, and the modern indy cars are a car you’ll need. thats playing not grinding. since we are of different openions on that perhaps what i would consider grinding you’ll think of as playing. go to freeplay, pick your fastest car turn off all assists you dont need, and its the easiest track so you wont need many if any, and put the drivatar up to the highest level you can beat. race 50 laps. you’ll earn 1,000 a lap + all your bonuses. that’ll get you over 100k. then the leveling counter goes up, you’ll get 4 levels and 140k for leveling. thats 300k for less than an hour of racing. when you do get the modern indy you can turn off all braking assists since you never use the breaks in a well turned car, use manual even if you cant shift because you’ll quickly get up to 7th gear where you will stay the rest of the race never needing to shift again, and beat it on unbeatable easily with the 38 second tune lapping 2nd place 3 times. it takes a whopping half hour so you are earning $10,000 a minuet, well over half a mill an hour. if thats taking too long…need i mention tokens or vip again?

It isn’t a problem.

I’ve owned and played the heck out of FM2, FM3, Horizon, FM4, and now FM5. I have yet to own all cars in any of these games, mainly because it takes a lot of time to come up with the credits for them, unless you are one of the folks that just abused the auction house to amass millions by ruining the auction house for the other 99% of players playing the game right. The most expensive cars in FM5 are actually easier to afford than the most expensive cars in previous games. In the past, there were cars with eight-figure price tags. We didn’t used to get monthly rewards CR, either. Forza was always supposed to be something you invest a lot of time in, and the most expensive cars were always supposed to be valuable. If you could afford them easily, that devalues them. If you bought a car for 10,000 or 20,000 CR, big deal; anybody can do that quick and easy. A 10,000,000 car was a different story. Now you really have something special there.

I wish they kept the car prices how they were at launch.
but at the same time i dont mind having a big car collection already… except i never know what car to use sometimes

The first in game message I got was from turn10 telling about forza rewards, looking at it right now in the news section. You may want to check your messages.

Tip: save for a Indy car (1,300,000) then use it to do Indianapolis oval 20 laps and you get around 111000cr per 15min.

There no issue at all with the leveling or ability to earn income on this game. Lets take a look at some of the things that have been stated in this thread:

THERE IS TOO MUCH GRINDING NEEDED: I completely disagree. The economy was adjusted to the point that I was actually a little peeved that my work I put in for my 250TR was made useless 3 days later and I could afford almost 3 of them. Non VIPs make as much as the VIPs did prior to the update now and VIPs, well we seem to look like oil barons now with cash we roll in. I mean I make between 9-12k a race depending on where I place…plus 70k every other race or so leveling up. In the two hours or so I get to play I’ll make about a million just racing online…on the weekends its more when I get a chance to hotlap.

THE CARS ARE STILL TOO EXPENSIVE: Really?! Please show me where you can buy a F1 car…modern or historical (especially one driven by Mr Hunt or Lauda) for that price. Nowhere. 1.3 mil for an Indycar? Man that’s sweet, not outrageously expensive.

EXCEPT FOR THE “HARDCORE” GUYS THE GAME TAKES TOO LONG: Saying I’m not a dedicated Forza guy would be very debatable, but using the fact that you can’t spend the same time as certain others just sounds like a stab at those play more than what you consider normal. For example; I work 9 hour days, drive about 1 1/2 hours to said job go to the gym on the way home and still seem to get about an hour or so in once the kids are in bed and I have every car through Citroen, plus Ferrari and Volkswagen with the E21 and McLaren F1 and P1 and alot of cars needed for a league or private race series, all while sitting on over 20 million credits.

If I can get to that status in-game…anyone can.

I have a bit of input on this… from a non-VIP primarily career player. If not for the nearly 3 million in boosts early on from Forza Rewards I wouldn’t be able to finish the game without grinding even with my paint credits. I’m down to the “racing” career, and short of the indy car and GT racing cars, I have 1.4 mil left to buy the cars for the other modes. Guess what… the lotus E21 is 2 mil. the other cars are in that territory as well, and no way am I going to earn that from the GT car I just bought. If not for that 3 mil bonus, I wouldn’t even have the indy car I got. Fortunately I knew it was coming and bought the indy car FIRST, for easy grinding at indy… nearly 100K for 30-45 minutes… I’m good with that… If one did NOT do this ahead… you would be screwed.

Career mode is a bit of a grind but with affinity bonuses you can earn pretty quickly. VIP status is worth it for $20. I just wish I found about it earlier in the game. 70k in credits every level adds up nice and quick. Having just finished all the career races yesterday, I have just started playing free play mode on my favorite tracks with my favorite cars. Set the number of laps up high (I’ve been doing 25 lap races) and I earned over a million in no time at all. After an hour of driving, you can afford pretty much any car you desire.
