this story mission are not fun with times needed to get 3 stars.

You only need to complete the story to get the car. So take a cup of coffee in one hand and 1 star the mission with the other and collect the car :blush:

I believe you can even turn on the Story Auto-Completion button in the (umm, can’t recall name) in the menu and simply finish it in any time (or maybe it auto-completes the chapter even if you run out of time ? not sure). So, really, it can be as easy as that. The 3 Star completions are just for Accolades, which mean nothing, except… LIFE ITSELF TO US COMPLETIONISTS ! lol :wink:

An auto-completion button? Why not an auto-play button for the seriously lazy? Just watch the Horizon movie play through the chorelist! That would be cool if your drivatar could have brawls with the AI in pit road between races.

Thats what this game has come too, its more important to collect the cars than it is to play the game. Its like people forgot why games existed in the first play. A game is about the grind, the challange the fulfillment of complete something hard. I have a hard time thinking that those who think horizon 5 is hard and too much work would last 10 mins in elden ring :blush:

3 stars isn’t hard imo. There was one story where you have to cut the last 2 corners. The one you have to complete in 50 sec.

I honestly don’t disagree with the OP. Not in the context of stories being too hard, which they aren’t, we just don’t deserve to suffer through more Forza Horizon 5 dialogue.

Did not like having to drive that driveway appliance for the last section, that thing is a total chunk of fecal matter.

The Nevera/Concept 2 (seriously, clean up your game and pick one, PGG) isn’t terrible once you figure out the acceleration and compensate for the atrocious handling and road conditions that PGG likes giving all of the Story Mission cars.

As far the Story goes, the missions were meh, with the exception of the Napier round. That is just awful and the person who designed it and the qualifications for three-starring it should be reassigned to another section of the game where they can do less harm. And while we’re at it…get better script writers and voice actors. This is just embarassing, even for a Rated E for Everyone game.

The Napier I feel like I did not mind because it made me familiarize myself with what the car was doing (3rd gear goes to the moon!) – it definitely needs a bit wider of a threshold for 3-stars though.

like why i posted. is i hit both napier and the mission after it. 3 star. but did not count.
i dont like how some times even hitting the req time. it might not count.
you have to go 1 sec under it. to hopfuly ding.

So does the McLaren Senna in the 10th Anniversary story. That’s my point - their setups are steaming piles of garbage, and that’s either due to incompetence or a false need to artifically increase the difficulty.

Finally a story where I needed more than one go on some missions to 3 star. Most of the stories in Horizon 5 you can 3 star first time round without too much effort. Takes me back to Horizon 4 that had a number of challenging missions.

I agree, several of the challenges in this series’ story are too difficult for something in the weekly playlist and not all that much fun to play. At least the car isn’t locked behind 3 starring everything like the playlist credit is, the vocho story in the base game was truly atrocious with some of those missions.

which is odd. seeing for me it showed that. seems other on reddit sub have the same issue was me. like it a bit bug on how it should show it for the monthly.

I didn’t mind the story. But that’s almost the point. It was pretty basic. It was if they were too timid to try something ambitious. They just kept everything tight & straightforward. There was no deep puzzle you had to sort out.

That said, I did need to do a couple of chapters the next day to get the three stars. And I liked the Napier chapter. Got it sll sorted in 24 hours.

I felt this was an uneven experience. I’m sure people who play with a controller didn’t necessarily romp through it, but you should try these tasks on a keyboard without assists on (apart from ABS because I don’t know what it is and suspect it’s better left on). Did I three-star everything? Yes, but only (mostly) after multiple attempts, vast amounts of frustration, and some routes that didn’t exactly take the racing line (looking at you, annoying hot rod chapter).

Yes, I should probably have switched every assist on, but I never actually thought of that. Doh!
