I think Turn 10 need to make some form of statement

I already have voiced my opinion on it multiple times and even said the game has frustrating bugs and issues but I’m also not blind that this is occurring to every game developer, especially 2023. It will be fixed. I called out both Forza and ACC. I didnt say Forza is perfect but that’s what you’re trying to act like I said. Your criticism is not constructive.

Even though Steam denied your refund, you can revert the charge on your card. Its called a chargeback . If you’re not receiving a working item as advertised you are able to get your money back. I did it with Callisto Protocol on launch, extremely unplayable and broken in aspects, on steam and it worked fine. Steam denied, Citi card Mastercard refunded. You obviously didn’t reach out to the proper side if you say you can’t revert the charge. Its a basic consumer right.

Stop gatekeeping criticism. You are free to voice your concerns the way you see fit, and so are others.

I bought the game with funds from my Steam wallet, which is why I cannot revert the charge on my card. Before you go about telling people they are wrong or not doing the right things, consider the fact that not everyone is in your situation. You obviously don’t know enough to say I’ve not tried the right channels.

I think Microsoft should be ashamed to release the game in this pity state. All the bugs and poor graphics and the stupid leveling system are top.

But what is also mindblowing, is that they are lazy. I play at 4k resolution wide screen and the menu is only 16:9 so I have big black blocks on sides. This is not happening in any game I play such as World of tanks, Call of duty or Diablo 4. This only shows how they rushed the release to give us overall poor quality game.

All I wanna know is where the dynamic track rubbering is. All y’all covered everything else so this is all I have to add.

The whole track gets more grip as the laps progress. It’s very rudimentary, but it’s there (it’s not just the racing line but the whole track). Try doing a long race in free play with no drivatars(sp?). You’ll feel it, just make sure it’s turned on in settings.

This game is beyond fixable to me. I think they’re just going to move on to the next (big?) thing since the sound is chalked and some key mechanics are chalked too. They need to fire some people and bring in new people like PGG did in order to make any kind of progress. All that ego has to go, the big claims, then the silence after it was poorly received is horrible. Someone needs to leave or get fired.

The only thing that they delivered on is graphics which is what was emphasized all throughout the promotion. The graphics are barley a step froward. It’s cool to have 3D surroundings and all, but there was never anything wrong with Xbox one gens surroundings. That power could have went towards the physics engine.

The sound is off on just about everything I want to listen to bar the 917, and the physics are way too easy even though the cars have a nice weight to them. Still, actually giving the game a learning curve for people who choose to race with no assists is non-existent; it feels non rewarding. “Better than 5,6, and 7 combined” my left foot.

Also, I don’t complain about car models, but I had to give the Carrera GT a double take when I saw it. It’s like the more they tried polishing the car models the more they exposed how outdated they are.

It’s not a hard or immersive game. The core gamers on this forum aren’t pleased, and everything comes from the core. I don’t think T10 will respond to the criticism, because the game is fundamentally flawed.

I don’t think anyones getting yelled at or gotten yelled at for this, which means they will continue on with this mediocrity.

Sad, but I’ll continue to support them for now. Things can change eventually. FH5 is doing good.

What setting?

On the menu when setting up an Advanced Race Set up we’re you select the amount of laps at the top, keep going down until you see “dynamic track rubbering” (something like that I’m not at home to see). Turn it on, and below you can adjust the amount of rubber you want to start with (0-100, default will say “50”).

Steam gives you 2 hours. Should have gotten a refund, sorry. Disappearing tracks and blurry textures were occurring almost immediately, especially game crashes. Yes, your criticism was not constructive and I’ll keep saying it. Sorry. Truth hurts. “whereas this piece of junk costs 60-90!” Real constructive there buddy. Refund the game to your wallet next time within the allotted 2 hours. It’s also funny how you mentioned you did wallet purchase now but before you admitted couldn’t revert charge on your card

“I’ve tried to get a refund through Steam and it was denied and I can’t revert the charge on my card.” Hmmmm, which one is it? Card purchase or wallet?

But since you can’t now and you’re stuck with the game, provide feedback in the troubleshooting forum constructively and wait for the patches. Or complain here on the forum in a childish way, your call.

why should they apologyze? there most have make their money. The problem is that a lot of the people who work there are burnes out from 7 games in 12 years. and the most new do not have a connection to motorsport. there worke there because itś good money and save job. As i read 6 years ago that they had hired someone from assassin creed i think oh my god. Nothing against gamedesigner from action adventure. But a motorsport game must make from people who are live motorsport

i mean the game is basicly the same with better physik. but eveb the physic are far from what you can expect from a hundred millions production. the tyre wear and fuel consumption is a joke from phantasyland no real connection to reaity. Hyperengine are not simulates simply fake. and i have high respect for the people who count all bugs.

the game is great if you drive 3 lap races and you have no expection that the display works right. there really done nothing here. when i see what little studios like reiza studios can do. i can really say turn 10 have no interest to push forza motorsport in new dimensions.

is that bad that i can imagine that this studio in the current form will no exsist in 4 years anymore. to realease a game with so much issuse under the surface means that something goes completly wrong and thats for years. After 6 years to believe they fix all for what they had 6 years time is unrealistic. without personal changes i see black.

if they want save FM they need people with passion for motorsport and not people because they are want a save microsoft job. people who are strong enough to fight against the politcs. FM have good ideas iḿ not against rpg like racing. But such a concept works not with 600 cars at the end. Cut known content from a game to bring it back in the next 2 years is a bad idea.

sorry for my bad english

As we all know, Forza Motorsport, Turn10 Studios, and the face of both; Creative Director Chris Esaki, made promises they didn’t deliver. I am pretty sure that is called false advertising.
We all got hyped up, mislead, and spent our money on a game promised to be amazing, only to discover it would indeed be amazing if it came out 10 years ago.

  • “Built from the ground up” is a lie.
  • “Machine learning enhanced AI” is a lie.
  • “Laser scanned circuits” is a lie, unless they used very outdated laser scan files.
  • The overall graphics are really poor. Visual fidelity is pathetic. Low-res cars, old outdated car models, dull & flat looking paintjobs, artifacting, dreadful interior models, cockpit FOV varies greatly from car to car, and I could go on.
  • The penalty system is broken in that it makes a guess, and estimate of what happened and the penalty you should get for it, but doesn’t take any context into account. A collision is a collision and who did what doesn’t really matter.
  • Matchmaking is broken in that it takes your skill level into account first, your safety rating second, while it should be the other way around.
  • Then we have the infinite amount of bugs and crashes, performing almost any action in this game will result in a one-way ticket to your home screen. Even after the most recent update.
  • Dreadful, actually horrific photo mode. It literally shouldn’t be in the game at all at this point.
  • Not being able to change camera view in the paint booth.
  • Not even being able to see what the rims will look like on your car because the rim selection screen is dreadful.
  • Lack of content.
  • No open racing classes where you can decide in what class car you want to race at any given time.
  • A leveling system, which I do like, but it just takes way too long to unlock everything, or to gather enough car points to make a useful combination of upgrades.
  • Wheel support that is extremely lackluster.

Overall the game released as, and still is, a roaring dumpster fire of broken promises, poorly implemented good ideas, lack of pre-release play testing, and overall a lack of detail, craftsmanship, and passion.

Then the good:

  • The new tyre model, sure, I’ll take your word for it.
  • The overall physics and handling isn’t bad. But it’s not as good as it’s made out to be either. How in the world are full blown race cars, Le Mans Prototype cars, GT3 cars, spinning their wheels and drifting? Those cars are some of the stickiest, grippy, cars in existence. Unless it’s done for balancing issues.
  • I do have fun playing the game.

I think Turn10 studios owes us, the gamers, the franchise loyalists, the people who pay their salaries, an apology. And an acknowledgement that the game should not have released in this state, and that they lied about the game’s performance and capabilities.

These are my thoughts and opinions, over and out, Mic Drop :microphone:

  • I agree, Turn10 should issue an apology
  • I disagree, I don’t think an apology is necessary

How about not being able to rotate a car design in designs?

I mean we had that in Forza 4 I think maybe even 3

This is basically becoming a repeat of FM7.

T10 have shown that again that they don’t care about quality product, they don’t care about loyal fans, they don’t care about racing and they don’t care about cars.

I feel very sorry for good people like Manteo Max that do their best around here only to be thrown into the fire by an organisation that does their absolute best to destroy whatever they have left of a good name.

People don’t pay $100 to give constructive criticism, they should be free to scold for getting scammed.

I just hope the apology is not a paid DLC.

I AM BEYOND OFFENDED!

These insert ANY expletive you like are advertising on X every 2 hours but not a peep about game breaking bugs and when they will be fixed for those who already paid.

We have grounds for class action. There is code from FM4. This is not ground up.
Advertising was a lie.

My bank refunded me no questions asked. And since i didnt go through microsoft i still have the game. Its actually a nice beta and somewhat enjoyable since it was free.

7 games in 12 years? T10 hasn’t made a game since FM7 in 2017

GT7 had a silky smooth release aside from 1 day of server downtime. The problem was introducing MTX while lowering credit rewards. But it didn’t have a whole lot of bugs.

FM is ridiculously broken in comparison.

I would add lack of content and occasionally very odd game design to that list as well. For me GT7 was a disappointment as is FM (though FM trumps GT7 in that by miles).

Brilliant.
