They knew that they are dead for nearly every fm fan with releasing this after 6 years. What should they say?
Theres nothing more to say. FM23 is the declaration of inability from T10.
Physics are great, yes (good copy from fm4)
Everything else…after 6 years of “developement”?
There is nothing more to say.
Personally, I would like to see Turn 10 and Microsoft apologize for treating the PC community like a btard child. Why the hell am I paying 90 quid for a unoptimized, bug-ridden piece of crap? They should apologize and commit to fixing the darn thing.
Not to mention, ACC could be bought for 20-25 bucks, whereas this piece of junk costs 60-90!
I would also like some form of statement on what they are planning to address. There are a LOT of bugs right now in this game and some affect playability (disappearing track, crashes, upgrades and races not saving, etc). I personally love the game, the physics, the MP, but there is a lot of work to be done.
The PC optimization needs a lot of attention, DLSS disappears or doesn’t seem to hold, blurry textures, significant FPS drops…
This has been a bad year for gaming but IMO, it would help if T10 would at least come out with a statement saying they hear our complaints and issues and are actively working on them. I was one of the early access players but it’s getting frustrating. A roadmap of sorts would help.
ACC was in a terrible spot for many many months and a couple years on consoles. I agree Forza has issues but lets not forget that ACC has been out awhile and has had a TON of updates
You’re comparing the performance of ACC on console (which cost 34.99 at launch) to the performance of FM 2023 on PC (60 - 90 quid). ACC runs like a PC Sim ported to consoles, whereas Forza is a console simcade struggling to run on a PC. We should stop making excuses on behalf of the developers and publishers. They had the time, they have our money, they don’t need our unconditional support. Expecting a functional game for the price you’ve paid is not asking a lot.
I’ve played ACC since early access and it did have tons of issues back then. The game also cost a lot less then Forza costs at launch. Since 1.0, I don’t recall facing game breaking bugs. Even the graphics on the early access version of ACC on PC look better than Forza on PC.
No, I also included ACC on PC as well. I said many, many months AND a couple years on consoles. I also said I agree Forza has issues. Calm down. ACC had terrible optimization issues on PC, yes PC at launch and it took them a long time and a lot of updates to get it optimized and playable. It’s probably going to be awhile for Forza. This game has multiple configurations. Due to this being 2023 and every game release being bugged to crap and back, maybe you shouldn’t have spent 60-90 on it and played it for FREE on gamepass to test out. Just because you paid that much for it, doesn’t mean everyone else did. So you can’t really compare the price of ACC to forza at launch.
I paid $35 for it due to having gamepass and buying the premium add-on so by that metric, I paid $5 less than ACC which was bugged and unoptimized to hell and back as well.
I’m not giving excuses to Forza or any other developer but to say ACC was bug free and optimized at launch on PC OR consoles is a lie. I have a ton of issues with Forza as well and its frustrating. I want them fixed as well.
You paid $35 on top of the roughy $96 you pay Microsoft each year, so that’s not really cheaper. The terrible optimization issues you mention lasted during the ACC early access phase, not the full launch on PC. I paid 20 quid for early access ACC and 90 quid for full release Forza, so excuse me if I’m not being calm or understanding.
You can’t use $96 because that includes hundreds of games. I also pay $15 for 3 months for gamepass ultimate or $60 a year because I buy it at Black Friday so I avoid paying full price for gamepass. I paid $35 for the early access game, period. Yes, the issues still persisted on ACC during the full launch. You’re lying if you say otherwise, I don’t care what you say. That’s a complete lie and you know it. I’ve been on ACC since early access as well. I’m not here to sugarcoat any game or any developer and call it like it is. Both games were bugged and broke in some way. I’m not defending Forza dev on any of this. You have access to this game for free inside of game pass subscription but you chose full price. You can’t use that when there are multiple avenues to pay/play.
Both ACC and Forza have issues. Both took a long time to fix. They’re going to fix the game. Yes, they need to do better at communicating these things but complaining in a non constructive ways is not going to help. If the game was so bad, you should have asked for a refund. If it was past the refund point for the game, then do a charge back on your card. You have multiple ways of getting your money back.

You’re here telling me how to deal with my grievance, directly comparing a product made by Forza’s massive dev team to one made by Kunos’ tiny team, and then using these to excuse the poor state Forza Motorsport is currently in.
You are sugar coating and you are making excuses on behalf of the Turn 10, passing the blame on to consumers for falling into the trap of buying a product advertised as being “next-gen” and shown off looking pristine in all marketing material. Do better.
I think it’s been $12 for over a year now, for base game, on Xbox store even.
- addons cost more most of them
from the ground up sounds like bull to me as well, I literally have the same bugs I had on FH4… And I can even remember sometimes hanging at loading a race, and I’m pretty sure it’s for the same reasons. In FH4, someone had to disconnect for the race to start (maybe ha had bad internet, or something was going wrong with his setup), then the race started. I have the exact same issue with FM8. Another one, the “you are now the group leader” that appears and makes no sense at all, same in FH4…
I don’t think a statement will help. Talk is cheap and there is no way I’m going to believe them after all of the lying and false advertising surrounding this game.
I’m thankful I was patient and waited to play it through games pass. Uninstalled now. I’ve got no motivation to grind through this offensively mediocre slop. I am morbidly curious as to what happened over those 6 years of development, and too see how they respond to all of this, but it’s more for some cathartic entertainment value at this point. I have little to no hope for the game or T10 at this point. It’s more like a car wreak: I don’t really want to see anything but at the same time I can’t look away.
Too bad. The physics have potential and the car selection is amazing. But the game is just completely undercut by shamefully bad AI, laughable graphics and performance in 2023, and the absolute worst game design decisions I’ve ever seen in a racing game, period. Sadly, this level of inconsistency in development is becoming a bit of a Microsoft trademark.
That’s still fractions of what this game is asking for. And if you buy either of them on PC, you’re getting access to lots of community mod support which greatly expands the game far beyond what Forza will ever allow. If you’re on PC, it should be an absolute no-brainer as to where to spend your money. Even if you’re on console, prices like that should be more than enough to give customers pause.
I got the AC Ultimate which I believe what you mentioned for $16 two years ago on Store Game Specials.
- but will only buy codes until my ad-box turnes back to xbox I am used to
- really intrusive to throw out my groups and put xbox store first page in everybodys home screen.
- stopped using home screen and use groups on games & apps instead so I don’t have to see that junk
What they need to do is pull a Bethesda and just release an SDK and let the more competent community members fix the game for them.
I know I could fix the divisions up in about an hour.
I know other people could have a working custom lobby browser up within the first day.
I think you are also missing a big one with the Race Replay Bug for online races, I have never been able to download one. It either does the infinite loop of downloading or when it does download one it just has the cars at the starting line where if you rewind they go flying. Aside from being able to review “the tape” to improve, their entire reporting system for egregious rammers is tied to being able to get clips from replays of the bad behavior. It’s frustrating being rammed off on the last turn of the race because the guy behind you is losing or some guy with 10 seconds of penalties already going full speed into you on a hairpin
You do better. You’re just reaching at this point but have at it. I’m not going to argue with you. If its a problem, get a refund. Its available to you through multiple means. Otherwise you’re just part of the problem.
You do you, but don’t pretend you’re doing anything better for the community by choosing not to voice your criticism. I’ve tried to get a refund through Steam and it was denied and I can’t revert the charge on my card.
