I mean it’s been many updates, many months since the game is out, and if anything, it has more bugs than before. I get it, it’s hard to find the origin of the bugs, but adding more of them?
As usual, we won’t know anything until/unless we see it in the patch notes.
“cOmMuNiTy EnGaGeMeNt” FTW.
We won’t necessarily know it then either. We might just get different bugs. Is it an update or a bug exchange?
Probably once they actually update the Known Issues list. They haven’t done that in forever.
While there is still a novel of issues that need dire attention, I have for sure seen many things improving.
I am experiencing way less crashes recently. A more stable online experience, While tune load times have improved, livery editor is still sluggish, though today i was able to scroll the whole list of downloadable liverey’s all loading quickly. That is a big improvement.
Also How is the smoke issue in multiplayer recently for everyone, while im racing less than i was a month ago, I havn’t had an issue with smokeys the last week or so.
T10’s radio silence on fixing game issues is legendary. However, with FM 7, there were so many things wrong, such as the way the game’s economy functioned and the poor car sounds from day one that Alan Hartman had to chime in with an apology letter and things did get fixed after that. FM 7 became a massively improved game.
So that was a first. Will the same happen with FM23? Don’t know man. I guess a lot has changed in game development after COVID and the senseless wars going on around the globe. It’s affected entire economies and industries and you can clearly see it being reflected in the quality of games.
I’m still hopeful though as they’ve managed to fix a number of issues since launch and I see no reason for them to stop doing so.
Perhaps T10 is like that feisty wife who normally doesn’t give you too much loving but on specific days she’d just surprise the heck outta you by wearing your “favourite outfit” and surrendering herself to you unconditionally, lol!!
They’re not intentionally adding bugs.
Yeah, it’s just a side effect of fixing things. Code has gotten a lot more complex in the last few decades.
If anyone plays Ride 5 here e.g. you may know that one of the updates produced a weird semi transparent grey blotch running across the screen in replays and they haven’t gotten rid of that in months despite multiple game updates.
I think never. They just want to do FOMO and want to facilitate our money pockets. Its not more…
And by the way… This game never had any bugs. These are all features made by Turn 10 under the motto “Build from the Ground up!”
if only we can assist with the actual game systems & run our own tests within the game itself would go a long way even if it’s with the Xbox preview programme and to record & report all within the game it will automatically upload them to Xbox support for review just an idea
Yes, update 1-7.
I dont think reporting issues is really the problem. Anyone and everyone who has played the game for even a few minutes will see something, turn 10 sees it as well. The issue is them deciding which issues are worth fixing and then actually fixing them. Since the game released in such a sub par state theres literally a mountain of issues and if theyre not game breaking they will likely never address them. I think it’s more of a waiting game for them now, once the outcry gets quieter they can just sweep this stuff under the rug and keep it moving.
No thanks.
I don’t buy games to do the unpaid work of a tester.
Testing is a game company’s job, not a customer’s job.
Open your eyes buddy, that’s what this game has been from day one.
In their recent livestream, CE said everything they do must go through an enormous amount of testing that can take months before they can release it…
…Before launch, CE & DG said things like:
• “We have a more agile code base that makes it very easy to very quickly change how you interact with the game.”
• “We’ll be adding features much more readily than we had in the past because it’s a more agile code base.”
• “We have no plans after launch except to listen to the community and make quicker adjustments with our new more agile pipeline.”.
6 months post-launch…
In their recent livestream they said, “remember what we said before we released the game? We didn’t really mean that.”
So many *cough* uh… inconsistencies.
True though, since launch I have been posting about bugs and issues on car sounds and many others are posting issues on different problems we are encountering. So the whole community is now what a testing community? I bought this game for 41.14 dollars on steam. As a customer, I have done more than enough that I can be considered as a tester. This was not supposed be the case for all of us right? We are literally posting all A-Z bugs to save the game, I mean we could have considered that if the bugs were not in enormous amount. But seeing this scenario makes me wonder how long this game will take to reach in a better state.
I had this idea that devs might listen and deliver the solution, but when we see things are not delivered as requested it really makes us disappointed. The devs are literally rushing going for a haywire fix and closing down the issues, not even taking the time to actually fix the problems.
Seeing this gave me a hope
And after driving the car…this happened

My question is should we still have the faith after all this? I don’t really know for how long we should hold our patience.
In the livestream CE also emphasized on these 2 words “No promises”. So whatever we are requesting, I don’t think all will be delivered. Yeah he did say, we are listening to the community, but he was still saying
No promises
