Forza Motorsport games had always bugs. But this a new dimension. To say the are be happy to delevop this game now with the community is a jole.
This game is not build up from ground up. A lot of old bugs haven taken over. Even the structure of the menue seem taken over.
Free play have issues where selections not taken over. Cockpitview where you with your eyes in front of the wheels. When you turning the view is blocked by armes. So whe need a seat position slider or the dev should make the cockpit views playable. One example are Bentley Speed 8 or Audi R18.
The list is so long that i have my doubts that they can handle it very soon. This is beside PCars 1 the worst launch of a racinggame. And if i keep in mind that the studio have hundreds of millions and 6 years time i ask myself will they go on as nothing happens?
Beside the bugs the game is on the creative side the worst FM. FM5 was on the technical side great. So i would rank this new one easy on the last place.
The Levelsystem is the most hated ever. And again they didn’t understand that people want a motorsportgame and no Showroom-Simulator. Ok that’s been enough said.
But then come and say that this a new plattform is again marketing. The simply cut a lot of content from FM7 only to sell us at new over the next 2 years. It’s been really sad if whe think back as Turn 10 was the standard on console.
Is it not time to apologies and say like it is. They where on a complete wrong way. I think the game was easily 6 months to early and maybe real communication, like open beta etc., would help in the future.
The game is in such a bad state that turn 10 should really think what was going wrong. And why the release this game.
The are in my eyes really fundamental differences in what people expect in 2023 and a AAA Studio would give.
I know there are lot of things in the backround. But before i can think that a game can be success for gamepass. The basics must be right. And in my eyes the are not.
I have high respect for the graphic artists and feel for them. But for the people who think its a good idea to grind 3 hours before i can see a bodykit i have not. This is gamedesign for a F2P mobile game.
I agree with you, the game starts on a very bad basis and especially very many that will be difficult to catch up quickly before players abandon this game.
The game was clearly released too early despite the 5/6 years of development, what happened?
Between the many innumerable graphical bugs, crashes, technical problems, there is also a cruel lack of quality content in career and multiplayer modes, more tracks, game modes, a real career that catches, more championships given the number of cars, once the rather repetitive career mode is over there remains only an unfair multiplayer with little content
…
Je suis en accord avec toi, le jeu part sur de très mauvaises bases et surtout très nombreuses qui vont êtres difficile à rattraper rapidement avant que les joueurs abandonnent ce jeu.
i dont think it matters much. the game is on gamepass, and many times more people are playing the game now even tho it has bugs then in the FM7 or even FM4 era. so your argument is invalid. The player base is in good state, so they have time to make things right in the game. Also multiplayer is excelent, so stop pushing your bs agenda.
We don’t know that. Microsoft doesn’t release those numbers. Steam does, though, and their numbers are gradually trending downward, which wouldn’t be particularly noteworthy if it wasn’t just two weeks after release.
So, with that in mind, I’m going to note this - games with good player bases don’t drop the kind of patches this one just did, especially this early.
actually if you consider full release instead of early release, it’s only been out for a week.
That said, almost every game has at least one patch within the first week. The one they released was actually abysmally small compared to most other games, and FM23 has WAY more to add than most games do at full launch.
Yes, but changing a system people keep calling fundamental by so much and so soon (even though it’s still not enough)? That’s a pretty clear sign you’ve messed up. Call of Duty doesn’t even act that fast, and that game’s only played by about half the population of the planet.
From a game company’s perspective, what’s so different & bad about this situation?
It’s business as usual:
launch another unfinished & unpolished game with lots of high-impact bugs/defects/flaws/glitches/issues/omissions/problems,
then maybe issue a brief & vague public statement about the condition of the game,
then start releasing patches & updates to show people you “LiStEn To ThE cOmMuNiTy,”
& eventually all will be forgiven.
…then rinse & repeat for the next release.
It’s clearly a viable business model since people keep buying, so why would game companies even bother trying to do better?
Business follows the money, and money talks louder than criticism & requests.
It does no good to complain if our mouths say “no” while our wallets say “yes.”
Keep buying problematic games & you just keep funding more problematic games.
It’s nowhere near as bad as FM7 was on release. There is definitely a lot that needs fixing, but 7 was barely in an alpha test phase when VIP users got the game.
I would love to work in the industry one day to understand what actually goes on behind the scenes.
The countless games that release year, after year, with some bizarre inclusions, gameplay mechanics, shallow content, or overall terrible design - makes you wonder why they thought it was a good idea to begin with.
I’m having a lot of fun with the game and it’s the best driving forza yet, but the amount of bugs and issues the game has is quite crazy. What shocks me the most is the amount of issues with the car models, there are over 100 threads in the “FM Car Issues” section regarding various issues. I, myself have reported around 15 alone. There has never been this much issues with the car models before, quite sad…
The way the game has been made as a time sink is directly due to it being a game pass game, they get paid for eating up your time so enjoy the grind fool
2481 reviews on Steam and an average of “Mixed”
That’s bad.
Did a negative review myself, cause FM in it’s current state is just not worth the money.
As is right now, FM will be my last purchase from T10 studios.
Lots of work for T10.
We’ll see if they are up to it, of if they’ll just ignore. Or make it even worse. Your turn, T10.
