Not only Horacio, but Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche, Toyota and other manufactures would sit down and talk with turn 10 about licensing. Or just a simple statment. Get the sounds right. As simple as that.
Given the troubles the Forza franchise has had with getting cars into the game over the last 6-7 years, I think that has been a regular conversation for a while now.
It took them a month to unlock all upgrades at lvl1 and add an additional window to convert CR to CP. They made it the central “Content” of the months update.
This cadence is intentional.
Of all the things wrong with this game it’s engine sounds you’re complaining about? They can wait until last to be fixed. Plenty of other things need fixing first.
There’s no first and last. The updates contain fixes on all aspects.
Are you playing the game through TV speakers or headphones? Perhaps you’re not a “car guy”?
I’m hearing my cars on a loud amp 100% of the time so I want them to sound 100% correct and immersive. In 2024, there’s no excuse for bad car sounds. The experience and skills are there, the knowhow is there, and the hardware and budget is definitely there
I am a car guy but engine sounds are about a 1/10 while penalties, AI etc is 10/10. Engine sounds can wait. I agree that there’s no excuse for T10 to continually get them wrong but they don’t stop the game from working.
While cars sounds might not be as big as an issue as some other things, working on them shouldn’t detract from other areas.
Whoever works on sounds isn’t going to be the same person that works on AI.
What are you playing on? On PC this is a disgrace, the video optimization is so bad, there’s no way running this on med-low settings I’m still getting less FPS than running ACC on ultra. The PC version needs serious attention.
I have both, optimization sucks on PC, definitely needs work, I’m getting almost no Vram usage, and have a bunch of over head, I also find it runs best at 60fps lock.
The game is built to run at that.
My card is a 2080 Super, for a dated card I’m pretty happy, I run it at 4k 60, low settings. I do feel like they are leaving a bit on the table.
I find auto works best but it doesn’t fully use the card.
Trying to do your own settings it runs like crap, found that out recently.
*6 months
I stopped playing. Now I only will play when update 7 comes out. I’m praying for a MAJOR graphics update! If not guess the game it’s the second flop of this generation after cyberpunk.
They unlocked all the options after a month but it was completely pointless cause you still needed the Car Points to be able to do anything.
Now whichever rocket scientist thought that one up I hope that their name was taken of the parking space
I’m just waiting to see what the next track will be as I doubt anything of value will change in the patch notes

Whoever works on sounds isn’t going to be the same person that works on AI.
I wouldn’t be so sure about that
18/6 worked in A.I dept and contract ran out before coding had finished…
Rehired next day to the Sound Dept
The game needs a complete rework in almost any aspect. Ray tracing barely noticeable, shadows low quality, car sounds not real, penalty system not bad but still far from perfect, graphics look bad ( AI cars too much low quality), HDR far from perfect, track seams way too bad, recycling tracks and cars, smoke from tires don’t start right when drifting, missing rain effect from front wheels, missing smoke from rear view mirrors, dynamic weather is not smooth… Can I continue?
The last time i played FM8 i didnt know it was the last time.
Didnt started the game since arround 2 weeks.
Just move on and play something else.
I think it is a waste of energy trying to revive this deathbirth.
Are you serious about this or just having a laugh?
Things is as an Xbox owner there’s some concern. Forza was a main exclusive and we see how this has gone. Game pass after a while won’t be the reason enough to stay with Xbox. It just won’t. The exclusives ! What exclusives.
People are jumping ship to ps5 and don’t blame them even though gt7 for me isn’t the answer. Halo and gears are pretty much dead. We have nothing apart from dangling on a String with gamepass. Which is basically indie pass now. Xbox also needs to ditch the S and concentrate making top games on the most powerful console stop holding Devs back with this crap box called s.
T10 could of and may have started the mass exodus of Xbox lol.
Once again, I find that the general opinion is very critical and unfavorable.
I think things have improved since the launch, which I admit was riddled with bugs. Those incessant crashes, saving issues, flickering, career completion, car level progression… all of that has been fixed. Some track additions, my goodness, which could have been part of the day-one game… but that’s another debate.
As for PC optimization, the last two updates proved effective for me. Radeon 6900XT, the game runs perfectly smoothly in high graphics, without RT, between 120 and 165 fps at 1440p. It’s pretty and fluid, pleasant to navigate!
As for the sound of the vehicles, I don’t find them worse or better than the previous opuses??? I don’t understand this revolt that continues
Finally, the content of the game as it is is worrying, it’s true that the career is ridiculous (poorly organized, deconstructed and too short) and the multi events are probably rarely played. Not to mention the rivals, very marginal for most players. It’s missing that something, extra soul, which could have (re)made Forza a major simarcade.
For me, Forza Motorsport is a good game technically and graphically, as well as in gameplay.
But the “atmosphere” is poor, the menus are sad; license has lost its splendor.
