How to remove weak network connection?

Does anyone know how to remove the weak network connection sign in multiplayer? I like to go into a private lobby by my self and race lower class pi, so i can cruse or maybe stop and look at senery and still make money, but when im all by my self with full AI the weak network sign is ALLWAYS there (never goes away!). I have gone into the HUD options and turned everything off and everything IS gone except for the network thing :frowning:

I drive in third person, so the sign is allways infront of my car’s BEAUTIFUL rear end!! And this game is beautiful! I’ve been driven in solo pub lobbies since forza 3, its what i do.

So i was wondering if anyone knows anyway to get rid of it?

Ps I hardly ever get the weak network connection if there ar other people in my lobby, only by my self.

use freeplay rather than online. it has the same options as soloing online with no network required, and you still make the money. being online may be confusing the server, it might be throwing out an error code or exception code expecting there to be other racers and thats why you only get it when alone. going online to solo is something not very many people are going to think of.

Its how I injoy this franchise, as I explained in my op. If there is no way then i will just deal with it and i will update my post on the feature wish list to include the option to turn off, in HUD options.

Solo multiplayer with d class bots is just how i roll and free play will allways force you to race with same pi cars<==== not what i find fun.

Even if you “hardly ever” have the problem you may want to check your settings as described in this Xbox Support information on networking with the Xbox One: Xbox Support

The correct setup begins with your modem/router, which you may need to research on the manufacturer’s website for Xbox LIVE settings.

Thanks, ill try that.

Back to the Free Play area again. Where you’re racing, you’re going to be paired with “like” vehicles all the time. In Free Play, you can do the same races, except you have the Options for the Game itself, Select Car, Select Track, Load Tuning Setup and Assists.

Included among the settings for each race in Free Play is the option to select “Any” as the Class opposition, which does pit you against higher class (and more challenging) vehicles (up to 15 opponents). You will also be able Drivatar Difficulty, everywhere from New Racer up to, and including, Unbeatable.

As for HUD settings, go into Forza Profile/HUD for 15 separate options, like turning items either On or Off.

Thats why i play solo multiplayer, because i dont hav to be paired with “like” vehicles. Im all about creating my own experiances like you could do in fm4 solo multiplayer, eg. 5 mustangs and 5 cameros on the ring, battling it out with me in the middle(5 laps) and if the mustangs had higher pi then i would drop there difficulty and keep cameros on pro. Or all hummers and im in a veron trying to stop them!!! soooo fun!!!

Sadly you can not addjust individual ai options in fm5, but atleast i can still hav fun with d classses while im in my favorite cars weaven through them, while earning money/exp.

I do not find compitition fun, and i hav 1500 hours in forza 3 and 4, i don’t need it.

Also if you read my op again you can see i mentioned i tryed the HUD options.

Also also on a side note if you play solo multiplayer your voice lags like crazy when your in a party with people, but if they join its ok, all of my friend hav this prob too. Didnt hav any of these problems in forza 3 or 4 :frowning: yay next gen… lol.

Communications (which is Xbox LIVE, NOT FM5) is being addressed in a LIVE update coming along sometime in March. See: A look at Party and Friends in the Xbox One March Update - Xbox Wire

Wi-Fi seems to be the general consensus of “Weak Network Connection”. Hard wire that sucker.

Even hard wired I’ve gotten the “weak network connection” I think it’s referring to a weak connection to the server and not your actual household wifi. Even so I would hard wire just for more stability.

All our connections are really miracles. Talk with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and if they’re honest they will say they only guarantee 80% of whatever connection speed you have from your wall to their nearest Central Office. Generally that is under a mile away. Beyond that, most services or our “Internet Access” is going into other providers, through DNS servers, backbone setups, etc., well beyond our own ISP or anything they actually own and control.

Check this “Internet health report” - http://internetpulse.net/ or this information: Network Overview /// Internet Traffic Report There are many connections, many “hops” and all we can do is hope we’re on a solid connection. Yet, the “best” connection you and I receive is subject to the “worst” reliability, and slowest routing we’re shuffled into somewhere along the line. We don’t have T1 lines from our homes to “The Cloud” or into Forza Motorsport 5.

The best we can do is accept what the ISP has offered that we can afford or is available, make sure the router/modem/cable line is set up as well as possible for Xbox LIVE - see Xbox Support - and then hope we don’t run into a problem area, a bad DNS server, or an overwhelmed server somewhere which maybe isn’t even in the country in which we live.

Chevestang, do you have a LTE smartphone that is capable of tethering? I have the weak connection issue when connecting to my home internet connection but if I connect through my iphone 5 I don’t have this issue. If yes try that and see if there is an improvement, if so then you at least know it’s either in your home network or your ISP.

No, but i think i can get one and try. Ill hav to ask around. Will it work with anyones LTE smartphone?

To clarify i do no get the weak network connection wile playing with others.

Please let this be true! Tho I highly doubt you can get better connection through a phone than from home internet. That being said I’d happily cancel my internet should this work…

Lol, i just might hav to to, lol.

I am connected directly to modem(no router) and so are most of my friends and its all the same. This game is the ONLY game we hav problems with. I play bf4 and i dont hav these problems. Seem to me its the clouds fault. As i said ive been doing this since forza 3 and NEVER had these problems( which didn’t hav the cloud). Ether turn 10 needs to optomize using the cloud or its something we will have to deal with.

Try it, be in a party with people and play solo multi(if you want to), you will allway hav the weak network and you will sound like an alien to your friends(lag). If you do this and it doesn’t happen i would love to hear. I hav a friend who lives in california and its all the same( i live in canada)

As i said im goin to update my wishlist to add the OPTION to remove the notification(weak network connection) in the HUD option = on and off.

I have the same issues… i am sorta forced to play solo Private Lobbies because i have one other friend that plays and we have such screwed life schedules… so sometimes i like to race the Aussie V8s with 50 laps … sad part is … its a gamble everytime … although i have yet to get an entire 50 done because of this so called Weak Connection … Im hardwired from my router … no other games give me this issue … even my 360 runs like new when it comes to multiplayer … Free play blows … because i have no control over the specifications of the race … i want to race stock Aussie V8s on Unbeatable for 50 laps on Brickyard … and not only does it kick me almost 10 laps in every time … it kicks me all the way to the main multiplayer screen it doesn’t even send me back to the lobby … but if i have me and my friend in a Private lobby … its all good … once i add that AI … its like im adding a computer virus to the lobby

Has there been any new ideas on this problem because this is still an issue for me

No know what equipment you’re using as a modem/router/gateway, so you may need to defer to the manufacturer’s settings and documentation to first have that device set up properly for Xbox LIVE. Beyond that, I would strongly suggest going through this information: Xbox Support

That information starts off with audio/multiplayer settings, but if you delve into more and more information there, you’ll find more information which is influential on the Network Address Translation settings (OPEN is needed) and how items such as UPnP and IPSEC affect the connection. Those settings, which need to be made on the modem, et al, need to be correct.
