This hadn’t appeared before but has been starting to in the last few online races I’ve done. Basically at the bottom screen those words appear and I get some lag though not huge spikes.
I find this very odd as I’m on fibre (hard wired) with a 28m/s ping if I test locally or a less impressive 155 if I use the Xbox test server in Seattle. Is it my connection or is the game letting me know someone in the room has a bad connection?
I’m wondering whether the game is picking a host and I’m then slow because they are 1000s of miles away but never had this issue before.
So no one then? It’s odd because I’m currently restricting myself to no collisions races incase of lag disasters and all the other cars are moving smoothly with one or two exceptions.
I thought it was disabled for early access. My NAT is open, X1 IP is on the DMZ and trying to make a private match I get a cannot connect error, trying to join a game, I also get an error.
Yeah I can get in, judging by your name you are Australian? Perhaps there are only US based servers available until general release, which I can join but apparently get a poor connection. If you are in oz (I’m in UK) perhaps it can’t get a good enough connection for it to allow you into matches.
I don’t know. I just fired up Forza 5 and got into a lobby with around 3-4 Aussies and 7 peeps from the UK. It was laggy (it would be with people from these 2 far regions playing together) but it worked.

Maybe the Aussie servers haven’t been turned on yet or something. I don’t have many other MP games to test, but Forza 5 let me play MP ok; but not Forza 6.
Mines not quite that fast at 38 dl and 10 upload but after a point it’s unimportant I used to have good races on FM4 with a 1.5mbps download and upload speed as my ping was still OK.
Here’s hoping it clears at general release and is caused by the game currently only using US servers (I have no basis for this other than it only seeming to effect none US players).
I think there will be initial teething problems and you are right about speed. I’m currently streaming 4k movies smoothly from Amazon so connection speed cannot be an issue, plus Xbox has port forwarding and open Nat
Hmm, the races I have with a ‘weak connection’ all the cars drive fine and theres barely any lag. I had one race where it didnt say that and cars were going full speed around daytona in reverse, spinning on the spot or driving sideways the whole way round, with some cars rotating back to normal if I looked at them for long enough.
If you’re in a lobby with people from europe, us and australia it isnt that weird to get a weak connection message. It doesnt mather how good or bad your internet is. I’ve had these messeges too in forza 5 when there were people from australia or new zealand in the lobby (i’m from europe)
It’s currently unplayable for me, tried drag racing and the lag was so bad the opponent had finished before I finished my 3 sec count down, checked my network settings and I’m getting 85mb download 6.50 upload and 162ms and I’m in the uk
It’s been happening to me also and I’ve never had a problem with any forza except for 6 it’s a great game I want to play it 24/7 but I’m mot the only one few of my friends are having the same problems
I’m getti the same problem never had it on the early release but since it’s been released I’ve had it every online game I’ve had the games amazing just the servers letting the game down
In lobbies i keep getting weak network connection, but my connection is fine i checked it whilst waiting for the last race to finish and i was getting like 49down 17up what is the issue?
