I can’t be the only one trying to start horizon open events only to have it kick you back out to the map saying “event in progress” so you’re forced to start an event already a race or two in. This can’t be how it’s supposed to work is it?
It is how it’s supposed to work. If you want to be there at the beginning, you need to stick around until the end and the next one starts. It’s been this way since FH2.
I never would have guessed that. Thanks for the explanation. This is the first horizon game I’ve ever played and I thought this feature was broken like many other ones are.

I’ve been playing tons and I can tell you, normally you get a 40 second countdown to choose your car, if it’s anything less than 40 seconds it’s a brand new lobby. So you’ll be able to jump in for race 1.
Hm, it wasnt this way in FH4. And i dont remember it either in FH3. Mostly because we never had “horizon open” in any of those… lol. Im not sure what are you talking about 
It most definitely was this way in FH4. What they’re calling Horizon Open now was Online Adventure, and the unranked option worked exactly like this. And yes, FH3 and even FH2 were the same way, but again with different names.
