Joined a horizon open race. Finished 2nd place and on the charts it said last, got last place points
You often start in Open Racing in the 2nd or 3rd round, so you can come 2nd but be at the bottom.
first race came 2nd, points chart showed me as 11. Sorry didnt mention that. I will go look for the video
There are some issues in Open that I only encountered since Series 7.
Mismatched end results due to latency problems are back.
Meaning other players start earlier/later than you and since the game counts race time to determine the standings you can finish the race on a different place than you thought you are.
Sometimes in a lobby with only 2-3 players one player starts on 12th on the grid order leaving him at a huge disadvantage.
Similar used to happen when in a slightly laggy lobby in H4. Occasionally you could finish a car length ahead or behind an opponent, but the game clock would round you up or down a position depending which side the lag coin landed.
I haven’t noticed it in 5 yet, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s yet another ‘feature’ creeping in from the previous game.
