Hood view issue

Ok, so I like to use the hood view when I’m racing. It gives a really good field of view, gives you a mirror you can see and gives a really good feel for how your car rotates around corners. Only in cockpit view do you get a better sense of the cars balance. I also race with no driveing line or braking lines.

My problem is that there is a plethora of cars in the game where the hood view is no better than bumper view. This is a big problem when some of those hood views are so low that you can not see the corner that is approaching.

I have 2 examples. #1: the Vauxhall 1.6 Tech Line and the Vauxhall Astra VXR. Both of these cars look almost identical but on one you can clearly see a hood and on the other its basically a bumper cam. The camera hight is sufficient enough to see the corners on this example but only slightly. #2: the McLaren F1 GT has a hood cam view that is actually lower than the bumper cam view. I know this seems trivial, but it really does make it near impossible to see the corners when you don’t run the brake line assist.

Is there any way that T10 could standardize the hood views? Perhaps have the cameras point of view start from where the hood meets the windshield?

I Agree 100% I would rather run in cockpit view because the camera is closer to center of car and you can “see” the yaw motion better. But some cockpit views are so restrictive (why does the screen need to be covered 2/3s by the wheel?) that i would rather run the hood view. But on some cars the hood view is to low and to far forward. Most other sims i run you have at least some control over the view.

I might as well add this here, since it is about hood view. I’m not sure if it is car specific or track specific, but the reflection on the hood is sometimes a static image of an entirely different track. It looks ridiculous. I usually use far chase cam, but I occasionally switch up the view for fun and noticed this weird static image as the reflection on the hood in a couple of races. I can’t remember which cars or tracks it was on.
