Come on Forza

I find using any other view besides inside the cockpit and chase view makes the game look dumbed down and cheap. Am I the only one that hates not seeing the wheels turn on the car when you are racing with the car totally visible. Any open wheel car that you use the realism just looks like crap. How can you take a hair pin turn and not have the wheels move. You don’t notice it obviously in anything but open wheel. There has to be a pretty simple fix for this I would imagine.

Hood view is great, chase to me seems like driving a remote control car!!

I like cockpit. Both chase views look like a remote control car.

For cars with a bad cockpit view, I use hood view.

In both cockpit and hood view, you don’t notice the wheels.

Open wheeled cars don’t have a hight turn radious so I’d say it’s fairly accurate. …

Just spent an hour in a Formula-e car, and the wheels, both rotate on their axles and steer accurately.

The wheels move in sync with the steering wheel.

Advanced race cars like these only have about 250 degrees of steering, their not like a Mondeo with a 900 degree lock to lock.

I DO use chase view. I find peripheral vision in interior or hood view too limited, and camera placemen in many cars’ interior view is terrible.

You hear your own car more clearly, to boot.

I just ran 10 laps of Yas at night in the Caparo and the wheels pointed wherever I turned the steering wheel.

I far chase view because I am a spaz in cockpit view, I need to see the apex to hit it properly and as B Wald stated the sound is much better in chase view.

Watch some F1… you’ll barely see the wheels turn no matter how tight the corner

Interior or chase for me, the hood view always looks pap because the reflection resolution is pants and spoils the feel when the models are so beautifully detailed otherwise.

I have way more car control in cockpit view. But, I cant see who is on my doors in MP. I used to tune in cockpit and then race in chase near but it was like driving 2 different cars. So, I do my best to keep track of whos around me and I’ll usually just let someone that’s beside me go on ahead to avoid wrecking us both.

Bumper/bonnet and hood are best for attacking apexes, good sense of speed and judging distance. Cockpit’s great if you want to hear the motor, though the lack of proper wheel and shift animations somewhat breaks it for me. Chase is great if you want to admire the track and hear the car’s exhaust more.

Also, I had hoped to see the bumper cam being a true bumper cam, though it’s the same general view for every car. I.e. a Ford F-150’s bumper cam should be a little higher on the road relative to the bumper height from the road; likewise a Mclaren P1’s bumper cam should be sitting really close to the road.

Seeing too bumper cam views would be really nice - one that sits higher for easier driving (the way it does now) and one that’s a true bumper cam - sitting right on top of the tarmac, as opposed to the edge of your car’s hood or at the same height/perspective as the cockpit, but without the dash (how it is now).

I can only play this game through the bumper cam.

The original NFS, Ridge Racer and GT games is what got me hooked to this view!

Cockpit view the one i used but need to put it back little more

I mostly use the far follow cam, especially when I am racing online. This way I have a better view of the other cars so I don’t cut anyone off who is faster or cause wreaks. I’ll sometimes just into the cockpit view when doing hot laps or in career mode but I can put down faster times when using the follow cam.

Bonnet cam for me as i use a wheel.
Make it feel more authentic.

I would be nice if we had the option to remove the on screen wheel in cockpit view though (For Wheel users i note).
We can only wish!!!

When using a wheel it is useless to have another steering wheel on the screen. In real life, you don’t have a second one in your viewing area and have only a portion of the dashboard for gauges, your mirrors and a view of the road.

The steering wheel and hands thing was a cool novelty at first for me but I find seeing the steering wheel a major distraction and I don’t need ANY distractions, bright shiny objects get me every time too…
