The classic route is in PC2. ($13.00 on key websites)
It looks like theyāre working from the bottom of the list for which tracks to add back. Not that thereās anything wrong with Hockenheim, itās a good track, but thereās a dozen other tracks I would rather see first.
Well done, Clutch. Good call. I see what youāre doing there ![]()
Re: Kaido: I wouldnāt put it past T10 to release a āDrift add-onā that adds the drift tech, cars and Kaido that everyoneās asking for and making a big to-do about it like a best thing since sliced bread ingenious idea.
Sorry for the sarcasm; I try to keep that out of my posts here but every time more hopes are dashed (although those new TA cars do look pretty cool, I have to say) I just find it harder and harder to slice out yet more benefit of the doubt. Hockenheim. A grey, flat, drab track with little to no defining features. My guess is the percentage of players requesting, I dunno, Bathurst is 99%, compared to 5% ā maybe ā requesting Hockenheim. My bet? Money plays, and that trackās just cheaper to license. Simple as that.
Iāve done an extensive bit of cross testing between FM7 and FM8 and the physics between the two is so similar itās ridiculous. I would really like to know from the developers (not conjecture from players) just how much difference there is between an FM7 track and an FM8 track. Other some better visual illusions. And some lower quality tarmac renderings. Is there any great difference? If there isnāt then Iād personally like the FM7 tracks just pasted in because the tarmac renderings offer much better driving experience than the flat gray surfaces of the FM8 tracks.
Bathurst with the current Gen 3 Camaro and Mustang wouldāve been a better addition.
Their official explanation that they put out before launch was that the old tracks were effectively too bumpy with the new physics model. Thereās probably more to it though, if they simply needed to be resurfaced, they probably wouldāve done that and stuck them in.
100,000,000 per cent. And weāre not the only ones that think that way, Iām sure.
āā¦we have zero plans for new features after day one⦠we havenāt planned anything⦠weāre going to be releasing the game with our full vision intact⦠from day one weāll be listening to the community and understanding where we believe the community is going⦠itās really about making sure that our playerbase is continually happyā¦ā
Oh, trust me, I havenāt forgotten about that little gem of PR buffoonery. But yeah, even if, after release, they hastily scribbled something down on a napkin splotched in pizza grease and flop sweat, they need to take that and just burn it. Turn 10 cannot afford to fool around as they have been, or the post-holiday Finding Out is going to hurt something fierce.
Yeah, to me, that clip kinda sounds like:
āItāll be someone elseās problem after I get mine for getting this out the door.ā
Theyāve had 18 years to ālisten to the community,ā and this installment shows that itās fallen on deaf ears - so I donāt expect them to actually start listening now.
Worst part is, that was back when most of us were expecting something controversially competentā¦and functional. Jesus, that comment aged like a bottle of milk left to sit in the California sun for a few months.
They put the short version of Laguna Seca, a part of the track that is a parking lot, why not bring the Complete Hockenheimring???
I understand that they canāt scan it, but also fictional tracks are not scanned, because they donāt exist, they could do the same.
For sure there is a lot of footage to get data from.
That interview should be used as a teaching tool for leadership to learn how to lie through their teeth to promote a product.
Iād love any Australian track, I donāt care which one.
Hockenheim is fair enough. But itād make you pine for the days before they dismembered that track.
Theyād make a greater impact scanning the better less high profile circuits. Iām sure those kind of circuits would love the exposure.
When do we actually get the track? I cant bring myself to listen to any of the shameless videos heaping praise on their accomplishments and commitment to keeping the player base happy.I had no idea ring got soo many votes,I sure didnāt vote for it.Itās in every other game I own,I wanted a Forza crazy cool track.
If these tracks are too bumpy with the new physics model then definitely the new physics model is not on the mark. The tracks in the game are so antiseptic and lifeless that they have no visual makers for placing your turn points. Thereās no feeling to the tracks.
They canāt bring in City tracks or country side tracks under these conditions because those roads are just not that clean and smooth. Or to put it in FM8 terms, lifeless.
Could be the illusion of track smoothness that is leading people to think the physics are so good in this game. When the reality is itās just the smoothness of the tracks fooling people into a false sense of āvideo game physicsā.
CE: āā¦weāre going to be releasing the game with our full vision intactā¦ā
This buggy, clunky, half-baked, unpolished, lifeless husk is their āfull vision??ā

The only tiny sliver of hope for a start at recovery that this title could ever dream of having is if it gets completely taken over by an entirely different team - this mess canāt be cleaned up by the same people whose āvisionā made it.
For the people that say it wasnāt voted for, the Hockenheimring currently the 11th highest voted track with 447 votes!
Is it the most voted? No, but itās definetely high on the list. That combined with the internal planning of T10 makes it reasonably considered addition.
I look forward to driving this track!
the sad reality is that they didnāt managed to put in all the old features
Im pretty sure they have a plan: Dripfeeding old features.
and at this dripfeeding speed atm we can think about new features in a few years, after gotten back most old featuresā¦
All i see is the top 3 have more than X2 number of votes than the rest, just an exemple of what peoples want, and what Turn10 doesnāt do for their players.
A track like eagle rock should be an added track on an update, not a day one, because we already have Miami and Indiana who are circles, but they have a decent variant for those who donāt like circles tracks, Eagle donāt.
Instead of having Eagle and Yas so soon, they was suppose to work on a solid base of day one tracks, the one peoples want to drive on first and they have voted for, and where they Can drive because they love them so itās donāt getting boring to do the same thing x Times when you like it.
So here Hocken is a good addition yeah, but when i see what the game miss, it just make it look like i not so good one.
Iām pretty sure if the game was launch with 12 tracks instead of 20, for example Nurb (with Nordschielf) / Fujimi / 2 others high voted fantasy tracks / Barcelona / Spa / Miami or Indiana / Kyalami / Suzuka / Laguna / Hocken .
So the game will be more enjoyable at launch even with actual bugs and the lack of contents, because sadly most of us agree about the thing that driving and the physics actual feel great, itās well enjoyable and this is one (i want to say ātheā but maybe some disagree) of the most important things on a simulation/Simarcade car game
Because actually even if we have 21 tracks (22 soons) MP is actually bad designed, itās just a loop of same variant on same weather, for example here at E class hoppers, you have Suzuka east, but never the full track and they are no reason to that, i mean, for me drive a low class doesnāt mean be stuck on drive on little track only.
So yeah honestly for the poor contents we actually have, and what is add on those 2 updates i would have prefer to have a strong choice of tracks even if it mean have less tracks, because the most important isnāt the numbers of tracks but the ability of enjoy, replaying them x Times, and the diversity of gameplay those cars Can offer to the game ( for example Nordschielf Can also be a good track for just cruise, Le Mans with the straight lines Can content a little bit drag community, Fujimi is good for drift and touge community, and circle tracks is good for fans of Nascar) this is Motorsports
