Hey Dan, when are we going to get a "rock solid" answer to all the issues with this game?

Just curious.

since when did they start talking about potential updates before they are ready to go? I’m also not happy with this game as it is but I think we owe t10 some time to respond to our questions vs demanding answers on the spot. Lets be patient and see what they have in store for us, try hang in there buddy

Well, they have had 15 business days from initial release and about 21 days total. (Also, I honestly doubt the turmoil here is a complete surprise to Turn10)

IMHO, this isn’t the year 2000 anymore, when people were used to devs not communicating with the public. A lot has changed in the last decade or so, and most development studios seem far more agile in their communication than does Turn10. This is the age of instant messaging, and social networks. Consumers expect vendors to communicate more readily. Just my opinion though.

PS - Personally, and again just my opinion, I get the impression that Turn10 is trying to ride it out in the hopes that things will die down and they can proceed with “their vision” for Forza.

Year 2000, really?

In 2000 I was just excited about getting my PlayStation 2 and I was still 2 to 3 years out from getting broadband high speed internet. The original Xbox would probably have been lucky to be a spec on paper yet and I don’t recall communicating with devs to be a real issue.

In fact, I was a much happier gamer in those days when the devs were not in my life, nickel and diming me on every game I play.

^ Very much this. It’s hard not to get the impression they knew things weren’t ready and were just hoping for minimal fallout - unfortunately looking at the microsoft store reviews, this has all really blown up in their face.

I feel like the launch of the Xbone X is in their minds, the ‘real’ release date for the game, given how much is currently broken or ‘coming soon’ in the game, At this point, I’m not expecting anything to be addressed until the new console drops, and possibly not even then. If the new console fixes a lot of what’s wrong simply because it’s what the game was meant to run on, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just write this all off as ‘creative customer-based beta testing’ or the like.

Owe Turn10 time? Why exactly? I think it’s much more apt to say they owe their customers some information and at the very least an indication of what they intend to do. We’ve all given Turn10 a lot of money in last 14 years… if there’s any debt, it’s certainly not owed to them.

Dan goes by the Forum name of Nebuchadnezzar.

I think his last post here was 2 years ago, you can look him up.

So you might be waiting a while for a response.

Maybe try Twitter?

my guess is the have an NDA (non discloser agreement) with Microsoft and cant disclose info from upcoming patch fixes and whatnot till the patch is released.
this is why most game companies don’t release patch notes until after the patch releases

Patch notes usually come out after the update because they might not be certain what will be included until the last minute.

The 343 community manager is always very active with the playerbase and will address issues and talk about upcoming content/fixes.

Turn 10 just don’t want to communicate with their customers even though it only annoys the customers and leads to a decrease in income.

I have been very vocal on here to the point of labeling my copy as junk status. I still stand by that in its current form however those having issues on Windows 10 should also consider it is 'Windows 10" after all and maybe cut them a little slack.

Approaching them on social media is trolling LOL give it a rest. It is better here on the official forum IMO. Despite my concerns for the current edition, I do not think they will leave us all high and dry.

I would guess the big update will come when they get the update for Xbox X or whatever that thing is called. They may be cramming alot into it, bc there is alot to fix. I hope they dont abandon the project, bc they are losing some loyal fans. All they had to do was respond, Hey everyone we hear you on these particular things, and are working to get it resolved. That is all they have to do, communicate, why is that so dang hard? Communication can resolve alot of issues with people.

Communication may give you a piece of mind but it will not speed up the process. Common sense and history will tell you that they are working on the problems and they will be fixed in due time.

Would you want to communicate with a group of people that have nothing positive to say about your work? Probably not.

Well, it’s kind of their job, seeing as they sold everyone a semi-functional turd. You’d think a little communication is the least they’d do.

You absolutely need to communicate with these people. these people are the ones who pay. Like i said, alot of the bickering would calm down if they would just let everyone know they are working on it. how hard is that, is it really asking to much for a response. Anyone from the company could say something for the ones paying for their product.

Common sense and history ,according to the vets in here, would tell me they may or may not be working on it. Im sure/ hope they are listening and do fix the areas that need it. Then in a few weeks, these post would disappear, the negativity would calm down, and we could move on to better conversations.
