This is a real problem for me. In some races i dont see anything!

I haven’t checked since the latest update, but this was really annoying a month or so back. Whenever there was a night race in the ghost league, my car would NEVER have its headlights turned on. And yes, I always had cars that had headlights. My opponents in the same cars had their headlights turned on. This made no sense to me.
It makes no difference in cockpit view if the lights are on or not. Mostly you can see nothing when using cockpit view. And some other still not fixed bug is that the cockpit view is way darker the the external ones. I can´t understand how this noboday noticed and the game got released like that. Please wake up Turn10
There are apparently some very serious headlight issues in the game whether you’re racing at night, in the rain or overcast conditions when headlights typically come on. The T10 team needs to play at least a dozen night and rain races to see what these issues are. They are extremely irritating and can be fixed. I hope they are addressed soon enough.
What triggers this bug? I was playing through the Vintage Sport GT event again and there was a race where the headlights didn’t work (rainy Silverstone GP) but, in the others, it worked perfectly.
I largely disagree that “you can’t see anything with headlights on”, though. If anything, it’s the opposite. In the tunnels you see nothing because you don’t have the headlights on. Tracks like VIR have next to zero artificial lighting, they’re supposed to be dark, and driving at night is supposed to be difficult.
If headlights don’t turn on when they should, however, then there’s a problem.
There is a way to turn the lights off. Get behind someone and hit the gas. You hit the bumper of the car in front of you and presto your lights go off. You can not however turn them back on. Enjoy driving in total darkness from there.
