FIX LIGHTS FIX LIGHTS FIX LIGHTS

Please Turn10, fix these lights, the game is scrotally dark, DARK TOO, in the rain the lantern does not illuminate the track, game thing of the 90s, what horror, please fix it is rudely ugly!

At least put a system where the player can turn on and off the flashlights, so anyone who wants to play in the dark without seeing anything can continue playing.

The whole game is too dark, it’s a horror, besides we need a rain frequency control system because it rains all the time, a real flood, lousy!

More or less related, but I’d greatly appreciate it if cars would turn on their lights in the tunnel of Dubai, especially during the Aston Martin vs Mini overtaking challenge that’d be a useful feature, with such speed differences, haha.

clearly Turn10 ERROR in choosing the brightness of the game, and without the flashlights it got worse!

I do agree that the headlights should be able to be controlled by the player, there is no reason not to have it, just assign it to right analogue sticks click.

Although I disagree that the game is too dark, it looks fine, and it very realistic in terms of brightness.
I have played both on HDR, and without and it seems fine to me. If anything the nighttime races are brighter than Forza 6.
It’s unfortunate that those without HDR are having issues but just turn up the brightness on your TV. Honestly it sounds more like badly calibrated TV’s than the actual game.

Got the tv brightness maxed, I’m guessing it would be better on 4k hdr tv’s. …
kinda cool that the lighting changes with the clouds moving in and out but definitely gets dark. Makes tunnels tricky.

Apparently races never take place at noon in Forzaland.

Right?

The sun is always so low in the sky that it gets in your eyes.

It’s been that obnoxious since FM5 …

I think Dan G. has completely fetishized the low sun thing. Noon to 2pm may be boring but its when a lot of racing happens.

I think there is an excess of rain, and in the rains and dark weather the headlights do not illuminate the lane, it sucks. We can not even see the right car dashboard when it’s raining!

Hi all, had no problem with HDR view of brightness in game, however user control of lights would be a benefit!

My opinion on the rain and how dark it is while driving, is maybe attributed to “Turn Ten” adding realism.

Maybe the realism could adjusted via, either Normal mode driving (brighter) or simulation mode (closer to real)

Just my thoughts!

I calibrated my TV with the XBox’s adjustment application and it seems about right for me. There was one track that seem unnaturally dim, but for the most part I think it’s good. Adjust your TV with the utility on you XBox and see how it looks.

I’m also getting more of an orange colour brake light on certain cars. Is anybody else getting that?

The lights on cars definitely need to be brighter, or at least “glow”. Right now it’s almost impossible to see the brake lights on the cars in front of you because of how dim they are.

Also, is it me or does the ceiling of the skybox in FM7 feel very low to the ground? I think it’s mostly due to how the clouds are rendered in the game. They don’t seem to decrease in size in relation to their distance from you, they’re the same size right above your car as they are at the edge of the horizon.

Absolutely agree - headlight “illumination” was nearly perfect in FM6. Night driving can now be problematic. In addition, we should be able to turn headlights on while driving on the low-contrast tracks or where we have a late afternoon, evening or rainy setting.

The game is obviously built for the 4K UHDTV with HDR optioned. Not for the average gamers who might well just have a 1080p HDTV. While good, it now lacks certain options that make the game seem realistic, which it isn’t.

I’ve got a decent 4K UHDTV 65" HDR LG unit, and it does its job well, even with some poor SDTV programs. But FM7 looks less than real. Screaming through the tunnel in Rio in FM6 was 10x more real than going through it in FM7, and the tunnel at Dubai looks terrible. It’s impossible to navigate or see anything in it, even when their lights might well be on?

If there was an option for the user to brighten the screen above what your normal tv settings might be. So that it’s only related to the game, not the TVs overall. Otherwise the settings are thrown out across the board.

Not everyone has a modern TV that’s only being used for gaming. It’s usually the families tv, not a monster set up in a bedroom somewhere.

In photomode you can turn headlights on/off so it might be an easy fix. Hopefully they implement it, also i hope they fix lights being on but no beam when it`s raining.

Yet in ForzaVista, you can’t, nor do any ‘Information’ icons shoe up, or ‘Statistic’ icons show.

There’s no features in ForzaVista like previous iterations that gave detailed specs around the vehicles origins, it’s technical prowess, it’s construction etc.

Sounds like a real balls up!

Lights on tunnel ceiling do not work either
It is just white spot
It doesnt brighten up anything

Please fix this thing t10

Glad it’s not just me. Terrible lighting in the game. Hoping it will be fixed. How hard can it be to copy the lighting from Forza Horizon 3 into 7?
