Not sure if you can. It’s strange they don’t come one when you go through a dark tunnel. It must be possible since they’d have to come on during a day/night dynamic transition.
It’s the 3rd race in the Hot Hatch series in the career - I’ve tried three different cars in that category, lights are out for all of them. All the drivatar competitors have their lights on—because it’s a night race though at Sebrig, it’s impossible to see without lights.
It would be class if T10 could incorporate a manual on/off headlights feature (perhaps pressing on the thumb stick in the same way you doot the horn in Horizon). Would be cool for multi-class races. Flashing people as you come up to lap them
I did a offline custom race with rain forecast for middle of race at Nurburgring. It was overcast & I could hardly see the track. Headlights you can turn on or off would be great addition.
4 months later - and I still see the bug when you have to race in the dark when all AI cars have lights on.
Well, turning “assists / suggested line” on while in race helps as you will see where the road is going to turn but T10 - GET ON IT AND FIX THIS already!
I too haven’t seen the issue. Unless in race cars that do not have them. I have seen lights out on cars as damage, although I am not sure if they even notice on their screen?
The lights seem to be classed as cosmetic damage and can be knocked out by hitting something, even though it can be argued this should be treated as functional damage not cosmetic damage.
The problem is that light sources in the game sometimes dont throw light at all. They are there (like lamp posts) but they dont illuminate anything. Same goes for headlights in sunset or dawn conditions. They should be visible on the tracks surface to some extent but they are not. Also many rear and brake lights are way too weak lighted. They need to pop more. GT Sport should be the benchmark here. I think they nail the track lighting coming from lamps, headlights and rearlights.
