[HCR] 4 S800 Cars, Including Mazda Miata 787B...BROTHERS?

Greetings all,

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday time and a fantastic New Year.

Lately, outside of League racing and other competitive racing, I’ve been running some S class cars. A couple were designed to be bundles of fun, but some turned out to be good! The good news is all of these cars have a good dose of power. A couple…might have a lot!

Here’s the first one:

Dodge Viper '99

The most sensible car of the bunch. With 798 horsepower. It’s a Viper so it sits on the power all the time and if for some reason you’re not, you’re on the torque! This car has all the grip parts on hence has really good mechanical grip - aided by fat tyres - so it gets up and goes well. It’s not a slouch and is fast enough in lobbies with its punch. It should handle usual lobby life adequately!

Tune is on my SF named HCR S800 VIPER99

Here’s an open source: (if it’s not listed, then I didn’t touch it!)

Shelby Daytona

Such a beautiful car isn’t it?

My friend - and team mate - wanted me to tune something interesting. I wanted to tune one of these anyway so I thought it was the right time to have a look. And I was surprised at what I could put on the build and keep it in S class! It has a lot of power because of a Nascar engine swap. With fat race tyres, it drove really well in the rain. It’s really nice to drive but sometimes it needs a delicate touch. Tune is on storefront named HCR DAYTONA

Notable lap times:

Sebring Short Wet: 1:15.239 (#18 overall) (beat all the Alfa 33s, justice!)

2016 Mazda MX-5 787B

The new, wiser one of the pair. This one only comes with 690hp from its 4-rotor. I wouldn’t have cared if this car was slow because of the noise it makes. But it’s fast and had a lot of strong laps on the leaderboards! It sounds good in a lobby too which is where I have most of my fun in it, as it is faster in a straight line than most things.

This tune is on my storefront named HCR S800 MIATA 2. There is an earlier version but that one doesn’t have race brakes. This one does, but to accommodate them I had to put extra bling bling rim sizes on. So now it sounds good and looks like “They see me rollin’, they hatin’…”

But here’s the open source:

1994 Mazda MX-5 787B

The older insane brother. This one produces the same 794 horsepower that my P class 787B has. But it isn’t quite as overpowered nor does it have PJTierney’s Minolta livery. It has excellent straight line speed, from 90 to 190 it’s hard to keep up with! Naturally, it’s only appropriate to keep it on speed tracks. It has skinny tyres so it should avoid the wet at all times!

Notable lap times:

Daytona 24 hour: 1:41.094 (#69)
Monza Full Alt: 1:36.238 (#55)
Sebring Short: 1:10.104 (#31)

======

That wraps it up. I hope you enjoy driving any or all of these 4 cars! Please tell me how you get on in them.

Until next time, take care and have fun!

Are any of those 787 Miatas driveable without TCS? I love the sound of the 4 Rotor but haven’t yet swapped it into anything.

Not fast. I managed a 1.13 on sebring short no TCS with the 94 mazda but it was very hard work

Turned on TCS. 1.10.377. #45 lb.

The cars a rocket with TCS and capable of being faster but I’m not practised using TCS. So I’ll leave it at that.

Both 787 Miatas don’t have the widest contact patch; TCS is definitely essential. I still applied prudent throttle control even with it on, in an attempt to extract every last bit of time.

That’s a fantastic effort, Toffo. I’ll add it to the times in the post.

I thought i did ok with the 10 laps i ran. I struggled not activating tcs fully at crucial moments. It seemed quite random when it would activate fully. As soon as it did my lap was ruined

They all good cars, the mx5 is rapid and the viper is great through the corners,. Great balance and epic speed and good stopping distance for the speed your going for all

I would recommend them to most yet not without tcs. Without is a nightmare. On, they great

Thanks for sharing

Only 10 laps work in a new tune that - let’s be honest - is a bit crazy, is really good! Thanks for the kind words, do you think there are any other layouts that might suit it, or the other cars?

I found it hard with the brakes because I go from IndyCars to these, back to IndyCars and F1 cars! I’m glad that you’re happy with the stopping distance, did you adjust any settings at all?

I reckon silverstone international and national the mx5 and especially the viper will be fast.

I changed nothing but if I did all I would personally do is make them more drivable without tcs. Which would in turn make your cars slower overall. Just keep doing what your doing because it works.

I’m not used to these kind of cars, so can’t offer much constructive criticism.

I know nearly all the top 100 are with TCS on and this is what it takes to go high on the power tracks s class. Considering yours is non lb OP you have done a great job and the Rotor sounds great for a bonus.

The Mazda did alright in the dry there, I think it ran out of grip in the wet, the Daytona came into play. The Viper used to be my go-to wet car because it had the mechanical grip and Forza thinks that fat tyres are best in the wet (or anywhere, basically)

There are aliens out there that can run these cars without TCS and not break sweat, I want to know what they’re on, it’s unreal!

Thanks again! Maybe we’ll have to see what else can get a 4 rotor!

Did you try the team forza mx-5, Motorhead? I found it to be the best of the mx-5s. Though using team forza cars is a bit like cheating.

I didn’t, but I saw you did and I’ve spent a good few laps chasing your ghosts. Actually, I have a clip of me flipping the Daytona at Sebring, I managed to hit the spiky kerbs at such an angle that it just took me instantly…while I was on a good run against your time!

Most of the TF cars I’ve used are garbage but I see there are a couple that work. I attributed your pace to the fact that you’re mega fast in S.

I really liked the viper it’s a bit more power than I can handle consistently but lots of fun to drive and I was getting the hang of it after a few races set new PBs on every track I ran it on. The best I could manage was top 99 viper for hardcore on Monza short and that was in only 4 laps
Great car

Thanks

It’s good to hear that the Viper works with hardcore. I don’t tune for hardcore, TCS is one of the only things that I keep on most of the time as I hang out in high classes or powerful cars as shown. It’s great that it’s helped you set some PBs, maybe there’s more too!

I LOVE the Shelby, its my most beloved car in the Forza history. I made a real good one in A class for career, guess 800 uses til december. Struggeled witha S class Version, but yours is TOP!
Guess the 5.9 engine made it,whatever… GREAT tune,working for me 100 %!
Love your work since the Subaru #77 on FM 4,so keep going!

Thanks!

There aren’t many better shapes in automotive history, that’s for sure!

When i saw the engine swap as a viable option for the build, and then seeing the rest of the build fall into place, I was quite excited!

Another hot lap tonight:

Spa Wet: 2:34.285 (#11)

It’s the easiest car I’ve taken around Spa in the wet, which is probably why I set a decent lap. No getting angry like I have with the 312P that some of us will have got. That thing will take #1 in R class with days in hand…

Oh,i wish a great 2016 back to you!

It’s a small world. I just used your tune for the #31 lancia turbo in career. Great tune

I managed a 1.32.348 on brands Hatch full in the wet on my final lap. I had a few quicker laps but the AI was giving me a great race.

Its 11th in its division, the 10 above me are full R class upgraded pi at 900 or there abouts. Yours is pi850. Any chance you can upgrade it.
