Hello,

Just like a DFS sale, our sales never end either. As FM5 rolls on, I thought I’d revive this thread so as to continue where we left off when the forums changed, for all of you faithful still here

========

X999 Panoz LMP-01

This Panoz is surprising. Very explosive mid range acceleration, strong top speed and mechanical grip. However loses out a little bit in high downforce corners. It’s very strong at straight line speed/acceleration tracks like Indy, Sebring and Road America. Power band is peaky so you’re encouraged to rev as hard as you can!

X999 BMW V12 LMR

This BMW is really good at speed tracks like Indy and Road America. The tune itself took pole in the TORA TEC Community event at Road America, however with someone’s internet imploding stint 1 with me leading, and then a questionable move by a rival in stint 3, we were knocked out of contention. Upgraded into X class it was largely unchanged apart from gears and featured in the TORA TCR CanAm series which I won the championship, the BMW taking a clean sweep at Indy, 3 out of 3 rounds. It was funny, in race one and two I started last and was leading out of the first sector.

The car itself as a very wide power band (which is good), so you can short shift a bit to stay on the power, it also benefits from great straight line speed and nice enough grip. Here’s the open source for it:

#1 Petronas Tom’s Lexus SC430

This is the first of many SuperGT cars coming. They all have very good grip and downforce. The Lexus is one of the more common ones seen on leaderboards as it’s very easy to drive, has a nice power band and so much grip. Hence, these cars are best on short grippy tracks like the Laderas. There are some solid leaderboard times to be taken in this at the tiny tracks.

I’m not sure what to say about the Aston here. I didn’t give it much time until the collab with GTT for the Allan Simonsen tribute. After that, I wanted to give it a bit of justice. It works on a few tracks, mainly Hockenheim. I had a 1:33.8xx at Hockenheim. It should be good for medium tracks like Silverstone Intl and Suzuka West.

#40 Ford GT Mk7

This Ford is one of the only cars of its type that gets a huge engine swap option. Good news is it fits into R2 almost perfectly unlike the BMW M3 GT2. And you get to drive a 'MURICA NASCAR engined Ford GT. It’s a nice car in both R3 and R2; the engine swap giving it a massive dose of speed. This car is good at most of the speed tracks like Sunset, Road America and the likes. There are some solid top 200s for the taking at Sunset. I was perilously close to top 100 but never quite got it.

Sadly its only weakness is its aero balance. It needs a bit more front relative to rear. However if that was the case, it’d probably be a leaderboard car!

#12 Nissan 2010 Calsonic Impul GT-R

This car we’ve had for ages. We had a good tune and paint ready for the Community Bounty Hunter but that event seemed to vanish after only a handful of garages got selected. So, it gathered dust but I revived the car and even though it won’t go down in as much fanfare as it perhaps could have, here’s the Nissan. The older Calsonic. Not sure what it is about them but they’re so nice to drive but I think people overlook them in favour of the Lexus. Still, my dad and I had a go at this and IOM Meerkat himself has a top 50 in one, still!

Ladera Short: 30.489 - #65
Ladera Short R: 30.501 - #44

The car is good on all the tiny little tracks where the Furai’s downforce doesn’t give it too much of an advantage. There should be a decent amount of top 100s for the taking here. Its power band is really nice and combined with its torque it really does excel on some of the tiny tracks.

It has a top 25 and a few top 50s to its name now which I now think is justice enough, some of the old HLC times are still top 50 even! And this is me in the car, I’m not as fast as some of the participants in the HLC.

It’s geared to only need the first three gears on most tracks it runs, because of its wide power band. Fourth is just for lobby drafting or if you’re on either Le Mans or the Ring where you have super long straights.

It used to hold a small number of leaderboard times, including a top 100 at Indy however it was displaced by the Joss, or the hundreds of them. Its last hurrah was its success in Dartz’s R3 Driving Blind comp. It drives quite nice for what it is, I surprised myself with it testing for the Driving Blind comp, being able to drive it without TCS.

I’ve had this Lambo for a while now but never released it. At the time I had a lot of top 500-250s, it favouring speedier tracks. I had my best time at Road Atlanta although that was a while ago and is probably outdated. Still, it’s a solid car.

Ferrari Enzo

This car is one for R3 that is I’d say…modest to drive. It’s not leaderboard quality but not much can contend against the Joss, 312P and Lotus. It has straight line speed…as you’d expect. The Forza aero gives some nice downforce which is more than the standard 100/200 so it grips fine. I had a 1:38.1xx on Hockenheim which is solid enough, and a top 1000. I’m pretty adamant it’ll work on lots of other layouts, so this car could pay itself off! It should work on most medium length, not very twisty downforce type tracks.

This thing is like the McLaren and Ferrari, and does almost the same stuff, but its maximum ‘standard’ downforce of 100lbs means it feels limited a bit. However, it doesn’t feel pushy, but you know it could do with even just 50lbs more on the front, considering the rear produces so much. This can do a 1:38 on Hockenheim like the Ferrari and McLaren above, and should get a lot of solid times.

Ford GT

The Ford has always been a nice car in S class and it’s always held some high leaderboard times. This one came about from my friend yeldarb131 and we worked on it together with me setting a high time on Indy (although this was a while ago). Then another garage released one so we didn’t want to coincide ours with theirs so we waited. But we waited so long it never came out!

Lamborghini Gallardo

Gallardos seem to be very popular around these parts. They’re nice to drive and they’re pretty good performance wise as well. There have been many of these released here, as well as its big brother in R3. They’ve all been very high standard as well, but here’s our one. Hopefully it’s up to the standard of the regulars’ tunes here.

Early on in the game I did hold a top 100 at Sunset in one of these, but then something called a Rossion came along. Still, it’ll compete on medium length tracks like Hockenheim and some of the smaller/national type layouts.

Shelby Series 1

Not sure what to say about this Shelby. It looks nice though, it’s pretty rapid. I haven’t set any hot laps in it but it should be alright to say the least. I spent time tuning one with GSW some months back now and it was nice in A class, but wanted to put some key parts on it like the weight reduction, tyres and supercharger swap, so it built into S quite nicely.

This is tuned and geared for short-medium normal tracks. It’s peaky so rev the hell out of it!

Dodge Viper '99

I’ve had this thing for ages and loved it. I was going to release it but Pendulum released one with that stunning paint so I left it a while but never got round to it. This tune is for medium/acceleration tracks. Its stock gearbox’s 5th gear is awful but 4th can go up to 170 which is good. It’ll do Road America, Road Atlanta and Hockenheim. I think only Le Mans and Nordschleife really needs 5th gear.

I got a respectable 1:43.425 at Hockenheim. I also ran this in the first Poker Run and it won S class Road America, breaking into the high 2:08s.

Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type-A

I love this Mazda. I wanted to put all the nice upgrades on it so I put it up to S class. It has an insane power band and quite a lot of punch in a straight line, Its only weakness is that it does have limited grip, due to not many tyre widths. Because of its power band, you can get away with using third gear on all the slow corners bar ones like the Hockenheim or Sebring hairpins where you might as well launch out of second. I stuck with a sport 'box to keep the PI down, it actually knocked a PI off the thing anyway! There is one notable time worth mentioning:

Sunset Full Reverse: 1:28.235 (#44)

There’s a few other top 250s on medium speed/acceleration tracks. Its overall lack of lateral G does limit its tracks but it’s good on speed tracks where high speed cornering isn’t necessary. Anyway, let’s cut to the chase:

And one for luck.

I don’t need any CR but just wanted to say that is the best Viper tune I have ever tried thanks for reposting these I still have a few others to build up and try.

Looking forward to trying these beasties, cheers for posting Motor… hopefully see you online again.

Cheers guys! Was a bit tied up recently with respective series racing. Then a bit of free time was put towards some experimental funny cars like putting drag tyres on R2 Vipers to make them R3.

I’ll start going back down through the classes from S again. Hopefully you enjoy them and thanks for the kind words deeps  Which Viper was it by the way? And all feedback is more than welcome, it keeps me going, and makes sure I’m on the right wavelength!

It was the 99 GTS ACR you have posted above, it had lots of grip and was easy to drive. I got a 2.12:336 using TCS at Road America which is pretty good for me, as I have stated before I don’t go past A class often enough so I’m Looking forward to try some of the other ones when you post them. Thanks

Nice one, thanks for the kind words again! Vipers seem to be my thing recently, with that one and now some R3 ones. One for the rivals and one for random R3 LBs. That R2 one I sent to ONR Faith and I’ll have to update the build: lightest wheels and stock driveline. But he’s gone 14th on Suzuka Full in it which frankly is extra-terrestrial!

I will have to try some of these tunes.

Cheers, hope you enjoy them! Tell us how you get on in them.

I’m gonna build every one of these cars asap.
Thanks for sharing these out Motorhead, don’t forget to share out some B class love when the time comes!

I’ll have to see how many ‘good’ tunes I have in those classes as many of them are just built up for lobbies and general fun with Mr Dazza and the gang

I’ll see what I can do!

Sweet, the odder the better!

Sometimes, the oddness can count against ya! :frowning: Some of my ideas were nasty!

+1 on the B class, A would be welcome as well.

Cheers! I’ll get on them tonight! Was doing an A class NSX earlier.

I should have a few decent A class around! I’ll get on it

thanks for the tunes. used the #2 Audi North Sport America R8 tested at Silverstone. (me: 1:40.743 w/out restictors) (w/restrictors. 1:42.139)cold tires.(1:38.461 3 lap warm tires) worked like a champ. Was
wondering if you had a tune for the 1999 Pagani Zonda C12, that would be awesome if you did thanks.
