Garage full - can't add NASCAR cars to garage!?!?

I have the Chevrolets in my garage but no room for the Fords or Toyotas! Now what? I own every car in the game and Have a few duplicates, most being the VIP or special cars I’ve won. How do I add the NASCAR cars to my garage? Is there a way to delete cars from your garage to make room? I’m upset that I paid $20 for an expansion that I cannot access the cars I’m entitled to. Using a “rental” gives no XP.

Nope. Unfortunately there is a cap of 600 cars you can own. So either you make room for the other 12 or so nascars or you make room for one of each livery car which would make a little more sense.

When I purchased the NASCAR Expansion, I knew I had too many cars in my garage to get them all. I was hoping it wouldn’t glitch my garage as I would go over the limit if all cars were added… Luckily, it did not glitch. So I went through my garage and got rid of a number of cars. I think I needed 8 spots, so the first cars for me to go, were some of the duplicate Unicorn Lamborghini Super Trofeos and Gallardos. I deleted all Rivals cars, as they didn’t look that good to me, compared to the League counterparts. Then I decided to delete the Lambos with liveries I wasn’t too fond of, and that made room for me. It’s not like I drive them now anyway, and I don’t need 7 Gallardos, nor 5-7 Super Trofeos.

Then I decided to get rid of a few other duplicates that I received through VIP gifting from Turn 10. Kept the VIP gifts that had cool looking liveries, like the Corvette C7.R.

You’ll just have to make room for the rest of the NASCAR stock cars, if you want them all. If you are badge hunting, there is a badge, like in the Porsche Expansion, to drive every NASCAR Cup car in the game… This can be done with rentals. Just go to free play, and load up any track you like, use no drivatars and set the lap count to 1, and run 1 lap. If there are some Cup cars you don’t like, or don’t want, get rid of those to open space for ones you do want.

I am a collector in this game, as I have bought every single car in the game as well. It was hard to get rid of any car I had, but reality set in, and I had to part with some as I wanted all the NASCAR stock cars. I’m a huge NASCAR fan, have played every single NASCAR game ever made, still have most of them from NASCAR '98 on PS1 and Sega Saturn all the way up to NASCAR '15 on 360. So, in my garages, NASCAR stock cars take priority.

So, take stock of the situation, and get rid of some of the cars, maybe some lower class cars that can be purchased later, as I’m sure the Cap will be raised at some point to accommodate 1 or 2 more car packs. Not sure how many more there will be, but there’s at least 1 that I’m feeling confident about coming next month. If it doesn’t, oh well. I have my NASCAR Cup cars now, so all other dlc will be icing on the cake.

Just sell cars you don’t use back to the game if you need room. Simple.

Already taking the Ferrari California and Ford RS1600 into account there are now officially 605 different car models in the game. The release of the NASCAR expansion pushed the number of unique cars in the game over the garage limit (which is not even taking gifted cars into account). IMO it IS a big problem since money is easy to come buy and people just like to own every car at least once and don’t want to deal with the hassle of selling and rebuying cars (which first of all is stupid and secondly would also destroy the stats on those cars if you care about your milage / top speed / favorite car per brand etc.). I personally feel embarrassed in Turn 10’s place for something like this to happen. I’m sure it will be joked about in the community of other racing titles as well. Will Turn 10 care to fix it? I’m sure they will if demand of the community is high enough or maybe they will feel the shame themselves with every DLC car pack they release from now on. Because rest assured, each DLC pack people WILL complain about it.

I personally didn’t buy the Top Gear and Hot Wheels DLC packs because I saw this cap of 600 cars was nearing fast. So that is already 15 EUR of income they lost purely because of this garage limitation. I also won’t buy any future DLC anymore until they have increased the cap so my little personal “Turn 10 lost EUR counter” will increase each month they release new DLC packs. Of course if they increase the garage limit then the collector inside me wakes up and buys all the missing DLC car packs at once. But if the game has more cars than the garage can hold then I royally don’t care which cars are in that garage and which cars I don’t have. So Turn 10 if in june you plan to release the Ford GTLM or other highly requested cars like the BMW i8 I royally don’t care. And no I don’t want to sell “duplicate livery cars” to make room, I want to own ALL the Formula E in my garage, ALL the V8 Supercars and ALL the NASCAR cars.

IMO it’s time for their community managers to step up and discus this subject. But sadly all Turn 10’s community managers seem to do is play their own game weekly on Twitch.

I really don’t think the community managers code the car limit into the game… and they have most likely already brought up the distress the 600 car limit is causing.

I never said that they have to code themselves. To me community managers are the bridge between the gamers and the developers for communication in both directions. At least that’s how it works for about every other game developer I play games from. But the ones from Turn 10 don’t communicate at all.

Distress? Really? It is a video game. Why would anyone ever need 600 cars in the game? There is a little too much obsession going on here.

I would hope that they add more space however I’m doubtful as the limit was significantly passed in FM4 and nothing was done. I would have thought that it would be possible, if they could get 550 on the 360 games, so please Turn10 give us collectors a nice surprise in a future update and add more garage space

600 car limit is stupid as hell IMOP. But then again from how things have been going I can see them having a $20 expansion so you can add more cars to your garage.

Oh my god. Do y’all REALLY need every single car in the game? I guess it sucks to tell you that some of you will never have the Ferrari California, Aston Martin Vantage, 1960s Nissan Silvia, Dom’s Dodge Charger, or the other various cars that were promotional like the Pringles Mazda, or Nutrigrain GT. Let’s not even get started about how the various outlets pre-order cars differed from each other, so you’ll never get those. Lololol

Ever heard of eBay? The ONLY one I’m missing is the Battletoads Hellcat, I have all the Anniversary Team Forza cars in my garage, those from the car pack but also all those from the various outlets. Yes that’s what collectors like to do, collecting! Pringles? Check! Nutrigrain? Check!

The correct answer would be: The garage limit is a known issue that has been brought up many times. Unless/until the issue is addressed by Turn 10, you will need to make room in your garage by deleting cars. Which cars you choose is up to you. Personally, I choose the least expensive and least used cars. That way, if/when the garage limit is increased, I can replace them easily. Unicorns and unique gifts can’t be replaced, so I keep them.
I don’t know why someone decided this should be a good opportunity to point fingers and place blame on the community managers, or anyone for that matter. As we saw as recently as yesterday, game updates and changes often create even more issues. I’m sure Turn 10 is aware of the garage limit, and have prioritized it accordingly. It’s ridiculous to assume they can just flip a switch and make anyone’s every wish come true.

Peace

The real issue isn’t a garage limit, it’s the OCD you all suffer from.

That’s CDO.

It’s the same as OCD but in alphabetical order AS IT SHOULD BE.

Right, I am absolutely disgusted by these comments. As someone who had a family member with severe OCD who ending up killing themselves because they couldn’t live with it anymore I find these comments simply disgusting. If you knew what people with severe OCD go through and what us family members of them go through, you wouldn’t be making those comments. Particularly as one of you is a moderator for the forum, I must have missed the part of the terms and conditions allowed people to make comments belittling a severe illness. You wouldn’t see someone making a cancer joke would you? So I don’t see why OCD should be treated any differently when the rates of people suffering from crippling forms of OCD have been on the increase in recent years. I’m sure I can’t be the only one on this forum that has had first hand experience of what this illness does to people? I cannot stress how offensive jokes of OCD are so please do not make them as it may seem funny to you, but to others it can cause massive distress.

Ok, so I don’t care about the garage limit as I don’t drive or own half the cars in the game but this is just really disappointing from a company that this has not been addressed. This topic has been brought up so many times months ago and they still haven’t done a thing about it. How are you going to have people pay $20 for cars they can’t even put in their garage? So they can upgrade, customize and paint them. How are you going to have a game with more cars then garage slots. People payed money for extra cars that they can’t even put in their garage unless they delete others. If they want to own every car in the game then go ahead. When are the naysayers going to wake up and realize this is wrong. This is not the way things should be handled.

I truly despise some of the comments in this thread. “Why would you need 600 cars anyway, you’ll never use them, what’s wrong with you” etc;. There’s 600+ cars in the game available to us. We should be able to have those 600+ cars in our garage, if we so wish. Not difficult to understand, right? Apparently it is.

For me, I have every car in the game (Including all the unicorns), but I decided to sell all the extra liveries of cars, like the V8 Supercars and GT cars and so on. I have a few duplicates of certain cars for a few reasons, so I’m currently at 581 cars. For people who have all the different liveries that get gifted out, it’s easy to see how they’re hitting the limit. And yes, I have in fact actually driven the majority of the cars in my garage at least a few times. When you then take into account how hilariously easy it is to earn money in this game, it’s very easy to see that many players will end up restricted by the limit.

But no, apparently it’s “obsessive” to want to have all the cars in the game in your garage. If you only drive 20 cars and only have those 20 cars in the garage, that’s fine, that’s how you want to play the game. But a lot of people prefer to be able to drive/paint/modify any car they want at any time. It’d be nice if T10 catered to these players, even if they only upped the limit to 700 it’d probably be enough. If for whatever reason T10 can’t implement this change, it’d be nice if they could at least, maybe, tell us that?
