Before anyone is asking… yes, I did all tips to solve my favourite crash to desktop.
Everytime when I drive down from the volcano to the Baja racetrack to unlock it, the game crashes during the last jump onto the Baja circuit. I reproduced it multiplie times and it always occur when doing this final jump. It freezes for a couple of seconds and then the game crashes.
According to the event viewer it happens because of the infamous exception error 0x c0000005
I already contacted Microsoft and PGG for this issue. I filed a ticket and somehow nothing has helped so far. It is frustrating, because 20% of the game are locked for me.
Even with the messages the game crashes… When you click to download prizes the message doesn’t disappear. You already know that the crash is coming and indeed it crashes.
In One you don’t want to do everything, I don’t know how many minutes to start the game and to have to start it several times.
After the last update I had two strange crashes on the main screen after pressing “continue”. That’s when your profile gets loaded. The game simply quit running and it was back to desktop again.
The last time before that happend I didn’t had my wheel connected because I just wanted to look something up and didn’t planned to play. So, I shut the game down without the wheel connected. At the next start the thing mentioned above happend with the wheel plugged in. After that I tried to start the game without the wheel plugged in and low and behold it started. I then plugged the wheel in when the game was running and since then never had the problem again.
This could have been a totally random conincidence but it also could be a sign that it has to do with a wheel plugged or not plugged in when you shut down the game.
For some reason every time they touch something the game breaks… Whether it’s an update/series change but the days before/after it usually gives me a lot of loading/crash problems.
It’s a kind of loop, the game works fine, they put something on and it starts to give absurd problems that on “normal” days nothing would happen.
You enter the garage, it is blocked for a second = crash.

I had the 0xc0000005 problem about like a hundred times in like 8 of 10 attempts to play the game from starting the game to playing an hour or so when it crashed and NOTHING helped except upgrading my RAM from 16 to 48GB. Since then I never had crashes! 16 GB are not enough for the game!
I use an Xbox One, an FH5 often crashes about when it finishes booting up. It pretty much always works once I reboot it the second time. The Game Crashing link appears to be for PC users only. Any idea why my game keeps crashing and how I can fix it?
We already know that maxed out raytracing is causing this. Just wanted to bring this up again because it is not fixed since RT was implemented to the game lol.
But when I listen to the sound of the cars in replays, and hear that they still drive only in 1 gear in the replay, and I know this bug is here since Forza Horizon 4 (!!!) and it is still not fixed, I do not see any hope to get the photo-mode-causes-crash-bug getting fixed anytime soon.
Hi guys , since today update , my game is crashing everytime I launch it.
(windows store version , not gamepass)
I played yesterday without any problem.
I updated the game today through windows store.
I click on FH5 on my desktop , I see the panel FH5 with messages : synchronise data , start the game 1,2 3 etc , and after a while (few seconds) the panel closes , no error , nothing in data event windows messages etc…
(windows 11 updtodate , RTX 3080 uptodate with 537.34 drivers , 5800x3d).
all other game work perfectly (Starfield Gamepass , BF2042 etc etc…)
Same with me, was working fine for me yesterday, update comes through & FH5 crashes the same way. Other games work fine, just FH5 that keeps crashing. Rather odd, here’s hoping a solution gets found soon. (On Windows 10 21H1, GTX1660 Super)
Same thing happening here. Played it on Windows 10 Store version this morning. Did the update and since then game crashes, doesn’t even get to any point of the loading process. Have the latest drivers, but no go. Just about to submit a ticket on it.
Game is not starting at all after update here without error screen or something…
It starts and i can see some ngxupdater in background and then simply closes
Shows the splash then nothing not even reaching the warning/copyright screen
