Not using afterburner. All i have is my antivirus, steam and the amd software running in the system tray.
How can you really run games without the AMD adrenaline? Its like disabling your graphics card all together isnt it? Its one thing to only disable the overlay and a whole other deal the entire AMD adrenaline software? I’ll give this a try and observe for a week or 2. Like i said the crashes are so random sometimes they happen , sometimes they dont for very long time. Will see
I’ve already had about 5 crashes… Watching liverys, it crashes and the xbox menu. Seeing tunes crashes and to the xbox menu. Without doing anything, it crashes and to the xbox menu. 
In case it’s not clear, it’s on xbox one.

Every single time I try to load a previously saved tune on a car the game crashes and I get dumped straight to the dashboard. I tried hard resetting my SX console and the same thing continues to occur.
almost every time that I enter photo mode the game freezes then crashes and sometimes takes multiple tries to reopen… not game breaking but very annoying

I’m on PC since the last update, the game doesn’t even start for me, I’ve been like this for almost a week and nobody knows anything, I already saw several threads on Steam on the subject with no solution.
yea i checked all the things other then jumping back a couple month’s in the graphics driver department.
I’ve been trying (and failing) to get an error code or anything to provide that might be helpful but whenever it crashes (to be specific it freeze’s/hangs mostly EXACTLY as I’m about to cross the finish and it’s transitioning to the post finish…animation/camera thing) but I then have to kill the game process and windows reports nothing of note happened wile the game decided to hang which is super helpful.
it was already doing this before the current patch and I was hoping the current patch would fix it but apparently not (if it’s even the game, windows update has not exactly been making windows 11 better :P)
These days the crashes are not so frequent but right now it has restarted downloading the prizes from the messages…Lol.
And well, it’s in One and for those who say it’s a bit old… Error. Playing in the cloud the game also suffers crashes, they “disconnect” you and forcefully sends you to xbox home. 
I think part off the problem is the lack of error codes generated. If windows isn’t even giving anything in event viewer it’s just poorly designed software.
In this case horizon 5.
Exception handling should give some code or message.

There is a problem alright. But for me it doesn’t crash. it only seems that way.
After the race the camera points to the road, and it’s stuck. nothing i could do. control’s don’t work. nothing.
Thinking it crashed, I came here for answers. when I went back into the game, it was back in the menu. race completed. so it turns out the game didn’t crash, it was just stuck loading something for a very long time.

Same happened to me. I had something offscreen to do and after a few minutes the game went back to menu.
I throw a wheelspin…Win 300K…Game crash. 
If you’re in Australia just claim a refund via your bank due to Microsoft, T10/PG violating consumer law by breaking the game and offering no support. The devs refuse to offer any support claiming their breaking of the title is “not a game play issue”, so there is no other option.
This worked for me and I have my $140 back. Such a shame, I was happy to pay $140 for the game obviously but the devs had no interest in providing the game in a functional state. Really a disgusting failure to function at a basic level from a “AAA” studio.
From time to time the game crashes (it just happened to me with a custom series event) but now at least it’s more stable.

Well, I take back what I said. After the crash, it took me about 20 minutes to start the game, I’m going to choose a car and they don’t even load…Crash again. 
All these comments are recent, when I also started having issues around the beginning of the dirt/rally takeover the month before the dlc release. Please fix whatever broke our game. I have disabled and whitelisted and prioritized, etc. I can’t roll back drivers bc I want to play OTHER games as well, new ones at that, but my game also doesn’t CRASH, it freezes every other race ending, or it doesn’t freeze but the results of the race never show up after the finish and I have to kill the program in the task bar. Seems like i can just try waiting for an indefinite amount of time for the unresponsiveness but that’s not a solution. Nothing I can do in a hard freezes though, which happens RIGHT when i hit the finish line, before the finish animation from the other camera angle in front.
Then I restart, only to have to redo that race and hope it doesn’t crash again. I can’t do anything atm but do non-race events to grab the unique 20pnt cars. It’s ONLY at the ends of race events that i get freezes or unresponsiveness from the game which requires me to kill the program in task manager. I haven’t even tried launching the new dlc bc I don’t want that whole experience ruined as well.
I’m on a 9900K, which is apparently “old” now but it’s always handled the game fine until march, along with 32GB of ram, a 3080Ti, running W10, running Eset AV which isn’t listed, disabled all overlays but the xbox one, should I disable MS gamebar overlay too? Riva tuner is uninstalled. The game always boots all the way up into the garage and lets me drive around, take pictures outside of racing, drive all over the maps, finish 1 race, might be ok, 2 and it definitely freezes and it’s been like this since the start of March. It doesn’t seem to matter what map or zone i’m in, what kind of race, whether it’s a regular Forza race or an event lab, it always acts exactly like this. I’m just at a loss after going through all attempts and online resources now. Any help? Is there a more official ticket I can submit, would that even help or do they just link me back here? Is there a more specific thread for freezing instead of crashing or not booting? This is kind of a hard site to start surfing, the layout isn’t super intuitive or I’m expecting too much.
