So in order to make the most out of my 100% vip mods I’ve been doing 50 lap races on maple valley etc plus I’m really happy to drive the returning 911 GT1 again but I’ve tried this 3 times now on different tracks and after 2-3 hours of waisted time at the end of the race my vip mods have been used but I get no credits or xp.
This Beyond infuriating. So much for the vip mods. Not only is vip changed so much but what they give you doesn’t work anyway
I have got the extra credit in free play however if you load it in the slot and the game crashes at the start, mid or even the flash of the finish line it is gone forever. 3 uses of mine went that way.
Ok I need some clarification. My youngest son who’s about 8 and not very experienced is trying to get more into forza. So I set him up in freeplay on homestead, 10 laps, and set everything to its easiest for him (super easy). Now here’s the thing. He did not receive payouts, at all. As in 0 zilch nada. And this happened before and after the patch. So I personally did a test. I set the laps to 1, did a race with those assists, got a small payout, but still a payout, but if I chose anything over 1 lap, you receive nothing. Now my question is, is this done purposefully or is something wrong?
I apologize in advance if this should belong in the support section, but I was curious what the community had to say and if anyone has an answer maybe I’ve overlooked or something. Pressing right stick on the assists screen doesn’t tell you that changing it to super easy will affect payout, or null you from payouts, so hence my curiosity. Thanks.
No it was not a rental car. And it’s not treating it like a rental, I experimented.
1 lap/all assists = very small payout with no drivaturds
1 lap/all assists with drivaturds = slightly larger, small payout
Anything over 1 lap with all assists equates to getting nothing at all.
Was a good thought though about the rental thing, but then why 1 lap payouts, and nothing for anything over 1 lap, if it treated it like rentals you’d get nothing for even 1 lap. For me personally I don’t really care, I run no assists, but my 8 year old son who’s just starting out, and doesn’t have complete car control and finesse, cares, and wants to do more than 1 lap a time and get paid for it.
I guess it would be really easy for someone to setup a race with 50 laps and set all assists to super easy, then just rig up something to hold R trigger down.
They could then just leave and come back after 8 hours and get millions of credits/XP.
Seems like a real easy way to cheat the game and is completely understandable why you wouldn’t be able to do it.
Shame that it means your son can’t unlock cars and stuff but at 8 he will quickly learn how to play the game without the assists being set to super easy.
Actually, that’s exactly what I did for the campaign endurance races due to how incredibly long they are, especially the Sebring one. Didn’t really care about the payouts since I just wanted to complete them.
Well I can see that. It’s easy for us to sit here and say, “tell him to use no assists”, or, “dial them back so he does get pay outs”, but I think you all forget how it is bein a kid, sorry but when I was 8 I didn’t care about skill, I cared about winning and being first when I played video games, and my oldest son who is 12 started using assists and has now since turned them to normal, no TCS no stm, and manual, but it took a few years and lots of questions from him to get where he is now. MY POINT IS. Why bother putting in such an assist, if you do more than 1 lap it nulls and you don’t get paid.
OK to put out some numbers.
Track Homestead Oval
Car #12 McLaren MP4
1 lap, no dts, all assists. 810 cr
1 lap, with dts, all assist, 1400
2 lap, no dts, all assist, nothing
2 lap, with dts, all assist, nothing
I can understand if they made it to where you won’t get payouts over 1 lap, it’d make an easy grind, but that should be something they put in the side bar info when you click right stick on the assists selection screen. Because that’s a pretty important piece of MISSING information. I’m not saying there is something to be fixed, or that it’s broken. They just really need to make it clearer if that’s the case.
I also redid all these tests and used JUST super easy steering. And duplicated results exactly the same.
So what if you try to turn off ne assist like the super easy driving… Kids adapt pretty quick with steering… Just use brake assist and the rest… On normal steering. If that works he’ll adjust quickly… At 8 my son could beat the crap out of me in some bike racing games… Like Road Rash…LOL
