FOXFER 64'S EventLab Journal

INTRODUCTION

Hey guys, I am FOXFER 64, you may heard or seen this name in the FCG, or in several EventLab videos. This may not be a big thing but i’m a small content creator (with around +3.3k subscribers) and a small EventLab creator with big ideas.

I am just going to write a little journal about my EventLab history since the beginnings when I was green at the FCG to this day.

I hope you don’t mind, but this might get updated like on a weekly basis…

BEGINNINGS

Year 2022: Experimenting EventLab for the 1st time

Back on october 2022, when I was part of a server with EventLabs, I came up with the idea of showcasing their maps as well as trying my own maps for said showcase. The EventLab showcase back in 2022 lasted 9 weeks, which it was 9 episodes. 3 of them were my following EventLabs, not available since the creation of this topic:

  • Dragon’s Lair
  • A Gravity Defying Circuit
  • Hot Wheels Rally: Special Stage

In late November / early December 2022, I’ve heard things about a guild that showcases EventLabs… That was the Forza Creators Guild… I joined that guild and, despite of being quite shy and introverted, i got along with big creators alike.

RISE

Year 2023 1/2: Getting involved in the community

As the time passed in 2023, I was getting more involved in the guild… I was featured in weekly EventLab videos from Speeding Husky. I rarely did maps that time as the EventLab creator wasn’t that easy compared with EventLab 2.0, which I’ll later mention in this section. Maps I did before that update were simple, yet with original themes like “Horizon Remix” and “Horizon Casino”. I even created a Moon themed EventLab in the stadium, as no one did such thing before, until now!

Yes, you can play those maps  . These were praised by the originality!!!

  • Moon Expedition: 171 952 622
  • Horizon Casino // Roullette Downhill: 235 864 475
  • Horizon Remix: 106 433 743

Year 2023 2/2: The EventLab 2.0 update

With the release of Horizon Creatives back on September 2023, they released a new EventLab creator mechanic that allowed me to create maps with greater quality. And since the EventLab island became a thing, I decided to make videogame recreations, specially from Choro-Q Videogames. And this is just the beginning of the story:

Choro-Q GP

An EventLab playlist that was once released in the Forza Creators Guild that compilates 6 maps from 6 different Choro-Q Games… It became a staple as I was pioneer of bringing Choro-Q to Forza. Here are the following maps:

  • Penny Racers (1996) Big Dome: 567 321 424
  • Choro-Q 3: NEW Stadium: 160 425 397
  • Choro-Q 64: Country Circuit: 789 326 165
  • Choro-Q Wonderful: Red City: 164 816 888
  • Choro-Q 64 2: Weird Town 154 355 486
  • Choro-Q HG 2: Peach Raceway: 899 696 078

Year 2024: Getting bigger and recognizable

2024, despite of all odds and not even getting into the PG Editor’s choice nor the Festival Playlist, it became “My EventLab Golden Age” within the FCG.

This year started strong… As I planned to work on Bowser’s Castle after doing Mario Circuit, which I’ll later mention in this journal, I said to myself… “this will be the first and last eventlab of the year… I wasn’t made for this”. But then I got swarmed by lots of demanding EventLab requests!

This may sound crazy but, as I mentioned in my 2024 rewind on my channel, I created over 30 EventLabs, which most of them are videogame recreations not only from Choro-Q, but also from Enthusia Professional, Ridge Racer and also some originals such as “Lakeside Trail”. Some of my maps managed to get this name recognized as an honorable mention in the Golden Tank Awards from last year… which it was a difficult achievement for me.

Choro-Q Grand Prix 2

This is another FCG Playlist not only created for the guild itself, but to rather respond to the requests under popular demand for adding Choro-Q maps into EventLab. This one sure putted my EventLab creation skills to the limit and it was praised by simplistic yet amazing details.

Play the maps whenever you feel like it!

  • Penny Racers (1996): Highlands: 148 755 973

  • Choro-Q 2: Sutajiamu: 101 918 982

  • Choro-Q 3: Short Circuit: 280 245 264

  • Choro-Q HG: Great Stadium: 164 674 528

  • Gadget Racers: Silver Village: 254 744 397

  • Choro-Q HG 4: Oriental Challenge: 115 617 181

At the time the Choro-Q GP 2 playlist was released, Silver Village got the most plays back then, surpassing Mario Circuit, Bowser’s Castle and even Country Circuit from Choro-Q 64. After finishing the 6 maps, I went exploring and made new EventLabs every week. At the time I was doing so, I came up with doing Park Town from Ridge Racer V, followed up by Cosmic Winding and Cosmic Eggway from Enthusia Professional Racing, which you can play them too ^c^

  • Park Town: 339 352 679

  • Cosmic Eggway: 414 642 923

  • Comsic Winding: 504 355 381

However, since I wasn’t very satisfied yet with the poor ammount of 12 Choro-Q EventLabs, I went berserk and created a 3rd iteration for Choro-Q GP series… and that is

Choro-Q Grand Prix 3: Beyond a Popular Demand

This is the biggest Choro-Q themed EventLab project known to Forza Horizon history. As this compilation includes 16 blueprints, which 3 of them are alternate versions. This, however, did not came to the FCG as I forgot to compile this playlist in time.

One map that stood out from the others was an entry for the FCG Haunted Horizons 2 EventLab competition, that was “Mystery House” from Choro-Q 3… refered in-game as “チョロQ 3: Haunted House (FCG HH2)”. Thus allowed me to work on a 3rd iteration of the Choro-Q Grand Prix

The maps included in this playlist are the following:

  • Choro-Q 2: Middle Circuit: 314 756 306

  • Retoro Sakitto: 342 721 240

  • Choro-Q 2: Freeway (Daytime): 467 283 828

  • Choro-Q 2: Freeway (Night time): 112 517 673

  • Choro-Q 3: Spring Daybreak: 166 325 637

  • Choro-Q 3: Mystery House: 124 864 527

  • Choro-Q 3: Chinese Ridge: 156 149 741

  • Choro-Q 64: Lakeside: 574 148 857

  • Choro-Q 64 2: Beginner Loop: 828 829 817

  • Choro-Q Wonderful: Green Park: 135 087 817

  • Choro-Q HG: HG Circuit: 118 441 391

  • Choro-Q HG: Asian City: 175 193 743

  • Choro-Q Advance 2: Wide Track: 640 720 556

  • Choro-Q HG 2: Oval Raceway: 200 983 305

  • Choro-Q HG 2: Slick Raceway: 170 021 881

  • Choro-Q HG 3: Lakeside Castle: 449 290 499

During December of that year, I released Vanilla Lake and another entry for the FCG XMAS EventLab competition, Frozen Precipice… but due to some controversies within the guild, I cutted ties with the FCG (In short, I got banned). This led me to dependency issues, but it went away. Starting this year (2025), I became independent and started new EventLab projects alongside with fun animations

Feel free to play these:

  • Frozen Precipice: 153 257 152
  • Vanilla Lake: 798 573 337

Year 2025: Independence - Practise makes the master (Currently in progress)

This year, without any any tears shed after the ban from the FCG, I started a new project to show off my improving skills on EventLab, which by the way, it was getting better and better with every map I release weekly! I may be underappreciated after what happened back then, but that doesn’t stop me. A new chapter as an EventLab creator has been released.

Choro-Q HG GP

Unlike the previous 3 Choro-Q GP iterations, the Choro-Q High Grade Grand Prix series is all about paying more attention to detail on the maps, relying on the actual look of the racecourses in-game. There are 8 EventLabs, 2 of them are from HG, HG2, HG3 and HG4 respectively, plus a fearful challenge I left until the end.

Oh well… after the 8 maps, Co-LAB studios, composed by big EventLab creators like GT Deny, Joh Cee or TypeHardFark released their Horizon Japan Collab Project (which it triggered me as I though the collab could get me mooned…) Anyways, I moved on, releasing the most awaited map: “Heaven’s Rainbow” from HG3, treated as a Special Stage for the Choro-Q HG GP Project.

From this project, I can only highlight “Ninja Temple Raceway” (HG2), “Heaven’s Rainbow” (HG3) and “Steamway” (HG) as one of the greatest maps I worked on despite of the ammount of plays. One of the maps though didn’t beat my expectations (It’s High Speed Oval from HG4), so I replaced it with another map from HG4, which it was released in 2024, featured in Choro-Q GP2 and it is one of the most played maps back then (Oriental Challenge S).

This could be the last Choro-Q themed playlist for now, as I want to explore new themes and catch the big leagues by just getting into the nominees… but I DIDN’T CAME FOR A STUPID TROPHY!

Feel free to play the maps. I enjoyed making these! ^c^

  • HG: Snow and Ice: 158 251 007

  • HG: Steamway: 123 348 892

  • HG2: Ninja Temple Raceway: 635 520 425

  • HG2: Snow Mountain Raceway: 349 714 957

  • HG3: Sunset Volcano: 102 026 896

  • HG3: Two-Tone Factory: 687 650 729

  • HG3 S.S: Heaven’s Rainbow: 760 364 032

  • HG4: Oriental Challenge: 115 617 181

  • HG4: Dungeon Heat: 108 116 949

Super Mini-O-Kart

This is a small project based in Super Mario Kart, with 4 full scale recreations of Mario Circuit, Donut Plains, Vanilla Lake and Bowser’s Castle. It is a tribute to Super Mario Kart using the 1965 Mini Cooper… hence it’s name is “Mini-o”, which it was originally named my TheFilthyHoney

3 of them were released exclusively in the FCG, but after the incident, I finished what I started and I posted it on the Official Forza Discord Server as an EventLab Series.

Play them at your heart’s content and feel the race like it’s 1992 (power ups not included)

  • Mario Circuit: 121 035 244

  • Donut Plains: 857 397 431

  • Vanilla Lake: 798 573 337

  • Bowser’s Castle: 478 486 872

It consists on 7 maps, which 3 are alternate versions, these are Victoria Garden with Daytime and night time versions, Marco Strada with daytime, nightime with rain and endurance versions. Wild West Enduro and Cosmic Eggway (with a Winding Variant)

The daytime version of Victoria Garden was featured in the EventLab Pick of the Week. But have the Events ^c^
