Forza Week in Review???

Equating a business operating in the free market to a private employees job performance is a ridiculous comparison. You know what’s funny? ALL of you still bought the game. Sure you can get it refunded, but they’re still profiting in the jungle that is the free market.

You’re not into MP so that automatically makes the game bad? That’s asinine at best. I can enjoy Forza without MP and I think it’s still a good game. If you can’t find something else to do in a game that’s based around racing and cars, then maybe racing games aren’t for you.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious that Turn 10 did NOT test this game at all on the original Xbox One. [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] If you want the full experience of a game you NEED to buy it on Xbox One X, otherwise you will be forced to deal with a second rate experience, such as with this game. I’m tired of the constant crashes, I’m tired of the slow menus. I’m pissed at the fact that it’s been nearly 3 weeks and we STILL don’t have the x2 credit VIP reward that you said you’d give us. How hard is it to implement that? To anyone from Turn 10, congratulations on convincing me to buy a PS4 for GT Sport. Go ahead and censor me, I don’t care. Your game is an absolute slap in the face to your loyal customers, and at worse false advertising.

norco007 probably summed it up and the rate we are going one of us will end up having a heart attack. The boys have got it easy…Try 14 laps of Nuri with no bra and a weak bladder only to have it CTD 100 yards from the finish line I am surprised T10 didn’t hear me from my chair. One thing to come out of all this is they really need to consider a Customer Liaison Officer and no not the mods as their job would be a total drag right now and they are supposed to keep us in check which would not be easy.

I am not going to argue with anybody because 80% - 90% of the issues raised that are affecting the game are genuine and should never have been let out of the stable with them. They should also take into account the highest priority for nearly everyone is just the simple - I want to be able to play the game - Which is a darn sight better than nobody is interested.

A quick reminder that our next update for Forza Motorsport 7 will include the new VIP double-rewards feature, where Forza 7 VIPs will earn a 2X base credit bonus after every race. We’re aiming to have the update released next week, so stay tuned to FM.net for the very latest.

Hopefully it will fix some bugs

Thank god for that anyone would think by the way people are acting about the VIP credits boost that it’s their pay check that’s been cut in half and now everyone can stop speculating when it’s coming.

How dare they not be able to get their WIR in on time. Something could’ve went wrong. It doesn’t have to be a server issue. I’m sure their network is a lot more complicated than turning your router on and off again at home.

But just so you guys know, this is why this place is slowly turning to crap. You guys go at T10s necks like y’all have a vendetta. Like seriously, it’s just a game. It’s not gonna be able to be fixed in one night or even one week. If you know how to fix the game, apply for a position there, you sound pretty qualified.

I don’t know what world you live in. But when I spend my money and get horribly and intentionally mistreated I’m going to return that favor in kind. This has nothing to do with a vendetta, this has to do with them getting the kicking around that they deserve for being a lousy developer and releasing a lousy product.

If they would have released a mildly bug free product with the features that were expected, promised and anticipated this forum would be full of people dancing and smiling. But they failed on nearly every front for this product, and so you get what you deserve.

Remember we’re paying customers and have a right to express our views. And until they fix things expect that’s what you’re going to hear around here. Then maybe this place will slowly recover to be a beneficial, helpful and friendly forum.

If I took money from my clients and produced and treated them like this, I could expect permanent loss of most of them. And a lot of apologizing and making up to keep the few that I could. The fact that this game is so enjoyable and they have such a cornerstone on the market allows them to be a lot more lackluster about their efforts.

Talk is cheap. If it’s that bad then get a refund and boycott any further T10 games. We both know that won’t happen because then what would you do with all your free time?

Oh I can answer this as I did just that… minus the refund… I just didn’t buy it at all. I had a feeling 6.5 was going to be a disaster.

Now on to your question. I bought another game. And I play it and enjoy it!! It was only 50 bucks for the full game! And I have no crashes, no rng rolls, no disapoimtments… The best part? No problems means not needing a silent tech support to ignore my questions/problems. Truthfully, I don’t even know if this said game has one, I’ve not had to go to their forums at all. I just plat and enjoy… It’s great…

I’ve not really considered it until now, but I may refund my Ultimate edition as well. Been sitting idle for a week, just too bugged up to bother playing.

What’s sad is that even this WIR which, on the surface, seems like a fairly innocent look at the car world shows that they just aren’t getting it.

New hoppers and rivals? OK, I’ll give them that. That should be at or near the top of a WIR. That’s fine.

HMA? Nobody cares. There are a million sites and magazines that are way more qualified to write about ACTUAL cars and the people who drive them than T10’s gamers-turned-alleged-car-lovers are. I’ve spent years on these forums, and I haven’t read a single HMA in full. Not one. I’ve got Motor Trend, Roadkill and TG for that. I have nothing against Mechberg, John and the other folks writing this content, it just seems their efforts would be better spent elsewhere.

F:H3? Hardly anyone cares and those that do care already know about the next Forzathon. The REAL piece of news should be Forzathon for FM7, but no.

Specialty dealer? People DO care, but mainly because it’s yet another slap in the face to this beleaguered community. Not something I’d want to be shining more light on, if I were T10.

Foot Locker + Forza?!?!? Are you freaking kidding me? Yet another plug for one of your “partners”? Thanks, but no thanks.

Hoonigan PC? No one cares, because that version of the game is so broken people are already giving up on it.

Renault giveaway? Since it’s not an XB1X they’re giving away and since at this point 99% of their resources are probably being spent on making this game actually work on that new system, nobody cares.

Will Arnett and friends? That has to be the dorkiest thing I’ve read all week and again, nobody cares.

And then, there it is at the bottom, almost as an afterthought: “oh yeah. Fix coming next update.”

How do I know this? Because I read these forums, every day and the same threads keep coming to the top. Same on Reddit, same over at GTPlanet, same on T10’s beloved Twitter.

Don’t you freaking get it, T10/MS? Don’t you understand what your loyal players want to hear? NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR GIVEAWAYS, YOUR “CELEBRITY PLAYERS” OR YOUR WHATEVERS. THEY JUST WANT TO GET WHAT THEY PAID FOR.

We’re not dumb. We know all those WIR headlines are fluff in an effort to yet again distract or skirt around the real issues at play here, and we’re done with your propaganda. And to be honest, I’m not even after the folks that wrote this stuff; they have their marching orders and are just doing what they’re told and I’m not one to shoot the messenger. Heck, I’ll bet dollars to donuts that they’d much rather be writing real news that we can all do something with, that speaks to our needs but their hands are tied and I get that.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t really change the fact that there are injustices being done here.

That’s it for me. I’m going to go play a game that actually works. It’s called Forza Motorsport 6 and it is great, and it is thorough and it is fun and I thought it was a shining light, a beacon for the direction in which this once great and true and oh-so-wonderful franchise was headed. Now, it seems a mirage, a blip that has been altogether crushed by the jackboot of corporate greed.

I’d try to convince you that these articles have a wider reach than us players who comb the forums daily, but it looks like you’ve already made your bed and are tucked up snugly inside of it.

I will say however, that it’s called a “Week in Review”, therefore one should expect that they touch on all of the topics and activities that happened over the past week.

It’s not a “Progress report on requested community features” article, and you’re not going to get one of those any time soon.

Oh please. I am so sure that HMA means nothing more to this “wider community” you speak of than it does the community on here. That’s what I was trying to show by mentioning other automotive pubs. People aren’t coming to Forzamotorsport.net to read about tuned CTS-V wagons.

And maybe TL;DR so you missed my overarching point: they included news that’s actually tangible and speaks to the functionality of the game around which this site is based, but for some assinine reason they buried it at the bottom of the page, below inch after inch of fluff. Why would they do that?

And I don’t need to do any “combing” of the forums at all because as I said: the same issues are there, right at the top, almost every time. Takes 30 – nay, 10 – seconds to check.

Really! I can’t think of any developers that provide patch information ahead of the patch going live. When the next patch is ready we’ll get it together with the release notes. Not sure why you would expect this to be featured in advance in the WIR.
