With the release of this month’s Car Pack we now know all of the cars that are part of the Forza Motorsport 7 Car Pass.
Back when the Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass ran its course I posted a thread similar to what I’m doing here, so I figured I’d do the same for Forza Motorsport 7.

So now that we know all of the cars from the first 6 packs, and therefore the contents of the Car Pass itself, now is a good time to ask: was it worth your money, or would you have been better off buying cars/packs individually?
Obviously, everybody will have a different definition of value and worth but hopefully we can get a good discussion going.
I guess it depends on how you view the pack. I paid for a pack to get X amount of cars are a reduced price and that is exactly what I got.
Do I like most of the cars in the pack? TBH no. I would say barely a quarter of the cars really interested me and if I am completely honest I am not sure there is one pack I would have bought individually had I not owned the car pass.
I don’t regret the purchase though, I knew it was a risk going in and as someone who hasn’t played FM since FM4 I kind of wanted to get all the cars this time round. Whether I buy a car pass for FM8 (assuming there is one, and I even buy it) I don’t know if I’ll buy the pass again, or if I will buy VIP for that matter. Like any time you buy a pass or pre-order with extra (future) content, it’s always a risk, you can’t really be angry or disappointed because you chose to take a risk that didn’t end in your favour. Most of us have a history with FM games so we know what to expect with passes.
At the end of the day I got what I paid for. Even if some of them did show up late.
I’m not super jazzed about the packs, but there were a couple of cars I super-liked, a few I just liked, and fewer cars I outright despised than in the other Motorsport and Horizon series’ car passes. So I’d call it Not Ideal But the Best So Far.
Since FM4 when I first started playing online I have only picked up one or maybe two of the cars on offer from each pack. This time around is no exception. Of the 43 cars included in the car pass, I would have definately picked out 11 individually, felt indifferent about 21, and thought that the other 11 were total rubbish. So I guess that the car pass was worth it for me even if the other VIP offerings and the game overall was a major letdown.
Overall, I found the selection in the car packs to be neither better nor worse than those in the base game. I was satisfied that I got good value for money spent on both the base game and the car packs.
For as long as they continue to offer the car pass I will buy it. Am I satisfied? No, the packs are generally a let down for me personally but I don’t expect everyone to share my opinion. I don’t think it’s great value for money and it will be interesting to see what cars are in future packs now that it’s ended. I’d like to see more info on the car packs before launch so we can make a more informed decision on buying but I can’t see that happening as a large majority would probably opt out.
I agree . I dont think this thread was started with trolling in mind. It is interesting to see what people think of the season pass and what cars they liked or didnt. Im sure it still provides feedback to the developers . I myself think the season pass is ok . Some car I like some not just like everyone else . As a moderator you could always just lock the thread couldnt you if you are not happy with what is being said ?
It would be impossible to give everyone all the cars they want in a car pass.

Better just buying the cars you want individually and pay more.
As a fan of 90s-present (super)sports cars the car pass was generally underwhelming. Lotus Elise GT1, Bugatti Chiron, Kia Stinger GT, Abarth 124, Alfa Romeo 8C, Citröen 2CV and the recent Porsche 906 were my favourites.
There were also waaaay to many SUVs and trucks in it for my liking.
Do I regret purchasing it? No. Aside from the atrocious Doritos pack I would’ve bought them all anyway.
The car pass always covers a wide variety of different models. There are old race cars, middle aged ones and modern racing cars, there are SUVs, hypersport cars and so on.
By nature not everyone likes every car or era of cars, so it is impossible to please everyone with a car pass. So actually I think that you pay for 50% of cars that you don’t want. I personally dislike SUVs or very old racing cars from the stone age. When I am finished with a forza game, there was never a car pack that brought me back to the game. And I have never bought a single car pack that came out after the “gold edition car pass” ran out.
So no, car packs are not worth the amount of money they charge for it. I have 700 cars in the game, I am not even driving 20% of them (and I play A LOT). Why would I want a car pack?
If the leaks on GT Planet turn out to be true then it would appear that, as expected, T10 have been saving the best and oft requested cars until the car pass expires.
So they couldn’t have offered the Speed 12, the Ascari, the Senna or the Escort XR3 instead of the plethora of SUVs? Lets be honest, the SUVs were nothing but filler (manufacturer subsidised filler probably) to bring up the numbers in the packs. I recognise some people appreciate an SUV now and again, but the frequency of them was disgraceful. Thy were the single most represented car classification when you collate the packs.
If a small cohort of players want the SUVs that bad then release an SUV themed DLC outside of the car pass. Everyone wins, they get the SUVs they so want and we don’t have our money wasted.
