Hey guys,
I just saw this on motor1.com and was surprised that I didn’t see this anywhere else. And at the time of writing this, there is also no topic about this car pack in the forum so I’m a little bit confused.
This pack will be supposedly released on January 15.
"Sim racers will get to taste some crazy one-off creations like the custom 1932 Ford called Double Down, or get behind the wheel of a high-dollar classic Plymouth Hemi Cuda convertible. The ultra-rare 1963 Shelby Monaco King Cobra race car is included, and for vintage off-road fans there’s even an old-school Ford Bronco. There are seven vehicles total in the pack, and though some might seem the stuff of fiction, all the cars featured real. Furthermore, each one has either crossed the auction block at Barrett-Jackson, or was owned by someone at the company.
As with most car packs, this one isn’t a freebie. Folks who already have a Forza Motorsport 7 Car Pass won’t have to pay extra, but the rest of us will. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but with the pack debuting in just a few days, we won’t have long to wait."
One thing I’m not so sure about is, that there is no source linked to show any real announcement
Wow. This is one of the best packs I’ve seen. I’ve waited for the 70 Cuda forever. I thought I’d never see it in it’s proper form in Forza. Hope it’s true. Too bad my game suddenly decided to stop running properly. Hopefully it can be fixed.
Look, I’m just gonna say it: if you like car packs like this, you are ruining the Motorsport franchise.
Yes, I get it, the Plymouth Cuda is a cool car…as a ROAD CAR. It is a car meant for the Horizon series, where you can drive it around freely on open roads, the way it is meant to be driven. It is not meant for a track-oriented racing game, as the car itself doesn’t have a single racing bone in its body. Anyone who thinks old muscle cars should be in games like this are lost. They have a nostalgia factor to them no doubt, but in reality they are slow and horribly built pos’s that wouldn’t last 10 minutes on a track.
Forza Motorsport is meant to race cars. That means proper race cars and any car with racing heritage should be a part of the game. Now that the Horizon series is a thing, there’s no excuse for casuals anymore. The Motorsport series will continue to devolve and eventually die as long as it tries to cater to a crowd that really doesn’t care much about racing and just wants to drive cars around. If all you want to do is cruise, play Horizon. Please let the players who love racing and follow it enjoy the game that is supposed to cater to them. Stop encouraging T10 to produce garbage content like this by saying it’s good.
Horribly built? Slow? You’ve obviously never owned one. While I would have preferred the AAR Cuda, it can’t be denied that muscle cars DO have a place in FM7, even if some are just for drag racing. Ever heard of Trans Am racing, or vintage racing in general?
I’ve got a better idea. Why don’t you and the other “casuals” don’t buy need for speed, a game more fitting for you and leave FM7 for those that actually want a good simcade?
And a track is, in fact, a road. The cars that aren’t strictly for, or even remotely intended for, racing have been the best part of this series at least as far back as FM3. And hopefully that will never change.
No offense gramps, but I’ve seen you around the forums and you’ve always come across to me as a flathead who’s too stuck in the past to have any real appreciation for cars. If you’re not interested in modern cars or any race cars at all then you have no place playing this game. Go play Horizon.
You’re exactly the kind of person I was talking about who’s bringing this game down.
So we waited 6 months for…this I mean a few cool old cars in that pack but otherwise it’s a let down compared to once again what we need which is more RACE CARS!
