I have started this thread for all of you out there who play on PC. This thread will discuss the release, updates (if any) and discussion of the PC specs for FH4. I would like to know if you guys think that my rig is sufficient to run the game - before the actual PC specs are released by Microsoft. I want to know this before i pre-order the game. My PC specs are as follows:
I would think that the FH4 specs shouldn’t be too different to FH3 as both games’ graphics are quite similar. The game has been leaked to be over 90gb, in a glitch where pre-order owners could download the game before the release. This seems a bit large, but could be right.
Hopefully the game follows the same formula as H3, if this is the case the game will run fine on your system. If it follows FM7 then who knows.
My specs are lower than yours and H3 and even Apex runs flawlessly on my machine.
Proc: i7-4770 3.4GHz
Ram: 16GB
OS: Win10 Home 1709 B 16299.492
Nvidia GTX 970 with 398.36
Running 1080p on my 32" at 60fps
F7 is having some issues but this dynamic stuff put into 7 might be messing things up. I am going to try and reload 7 onto my box and turn all dynamics off to test.
For reference, FH3 PC specs were announced with the Gone Gold announcement at the end of August, and FM7 specs were announced on August 20 at gamescom. This year’s gamescom starts August 22.
OP, your PC specs are relatively high so I highly doubt there will be any issues for you on PC. I’m quite a bit under that for PC so I’m having my doubts. I mostly use PC to paint anyways so its not a big deal for me.
I’m not sure if I can run it. My specs are:
-AMD FX8350 4.0 Ghz
-MSI GTX 1050Ti 4Gb
-Thermaltake PS 750WT Bronze
-24Gb Ram DDR3
-LG 1080p Montior W/ 60Hz Rfsh Rate
You should be able to run the game without much problems I believe, of course not at ultra settings but a mix between some low/medium and maybe some high settings for a stable 60fps.
Do you own Forza horizon 3? if not, try downloading Horizon 3 / forza 7 demo on windows store and see how it runs :). I think Horizon 4 will behave quite similar.
I have a similar setup, although I have a 6700k instead of a 7th gen chip. It should be more than enough to run the game at 1080p/1440p on Ultra 60fps+. However, my concern is if Playground games are going to [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] the bed again and release a broken un-optimized port. I’m sure PC players can remember the mess that FH3 was with very high end rigs unable to lock 60fps due to the horrible CPU/thread usage, a problem which forced me to lock the game at 30fps for the best part of like 6 months into its life span before it eventually got fixed? This kind of thing simply can’t happen again especially if they expect us to pay £80 for all the bells and whistles.
And what was more worrying was that T10 didn’t seem to learn from Playground Games, as FM7 released with similar issues and is still a stuttering mess from time to time.
I just hope whatever the fix was Playground Games found for FH3 for the cpu usage issues will be there for FH4.
I have a xbox one s and i bought fh3, fm7 and i am going to buy fh4. I want to buy a laptop were i can play fh3 and 4 on but what things on laptop do i need to have if i want to play it? I already know i have to buy a gaming laptop, but where do I have to pay attention? such as which specifications etc.
Hi There Earlier this year I decide to get a new Gaming PC I settled on a NUC The model I am using has a New Chip set design all on the One DIE CPU GPU and GPU Memory making for a very compact Design.
I Can run Horizon 3 at over 90FPS and Forza Motorsport & at Over 160 FPS using Ultra Settings with a Display set at 1080p This new chip is going to go in to production for Lap tops this year. Will list the Detail Below so you have some idea what to look for. I maxed out my ram and but you only really only need a max of 16gig. And Game load times are about the same From the SSD as they are from the 4TB External 5,500 Rpm Drive.
PC specks are
Intel® NUC Model NUC8i7HVK
Intel Core i7-8809G 3.1GHz (up to 4.2GHz Turbo)
2x 16GB DDR4 2400+ SODIMMs
Radeon RX Vega M GH 1063-1190MHz GPU, 800MHz Memory 4GB
512 GB M.2 SATA SSD Operating System and Apps
1TB M.2 SATA SSD Game only Windows and Steam
2 TB External Hard drive USB 3 for Photos and Back up files
Integrated Wifi Intel® Wireless-AC 8265 + Bluetooth 4.2
I’ve been running FH3 2160p High settings with AA turned off at a locked 60FPS:
Ryzen 5 1600
Vega 56
16GB RAM @ 3000MHz
I’m expecting to get similar performance out of FH4, but I’ll go down to 1440p if I have to; most AAA games require me to do that. My graphics card isn’t really suited to 4K gaming but I couldn’t say no to the deal I got on the monitor.
If you can run Horizon 3 and Motorsport 7 is guaranteed that you will run Horizon 4, all of them are ported from the Xbox One, and since the console is not upgradable (let’s keep in mind that the game need’s to run on the OG XONE) so once you can run one of them the chances you can play them all are like 90% (performance varies since Horizon is open world and motorsport run on closed tracks).
BTW a GTX 750ti was enough to run FH3 mid-high on 720p (30fps stable) and a 1050ti to run on high-ultra (30fps stable)
