Forza Garage - Week Five

[Mod edit - Feel free to post in the Forza 6 Car Wishlist thread - fyerball]

It just keeps getting better

Nice to see the addition of BTCC to FM6! These cars will go well with Brands Hatch Indy and GP, both versions of which I’m assuming are in the game. Now all we need are those NASCAR cars to complement Daytona Motor Speedway, since BTCC is to England what NASCAR is to America (both use modified pedestrian stock cars). Can’t wait for the open-wheel car line up announcement!!!

FWIW, NASCAR stock cars aren’t really developed from a stock production car anymore. The only thing they share at this point is the name. Different frame, engine, transmission, drive configuration, wheels, interior, body, etc. I doubt there is a common component between the two.

I thought NASCAR has been silhouette racing for decades?

Agreed. The most powerful engine in the current Camry is a 268hp V6. The most powerful engine in the current Fusion is a 240hp V4 (Ford dropped the 263hp V6 from the previous generation). I’m pretty sure the NASCAR equivalents have V8s.

Their motto “Stock returns to racing” is a joke. A motto about the Gen 6 race car would have been more accurate.

.

Sorry to nitpick, but I’m pretty sure the Fords use I4s not V4s. And it’s not just the engines, it’s everything. They don’t even use the same drive configuration, the fusion is available in either FWD or AWD, NASCAR is RWD.

Yep, years ago they pretty much just started requiring that certain body measurements be the same has the street counterparts, but 99.9% of the car has nothing to do with the street/production version otherwise. Even a good share of the body is actually built to different dimensions now. Otherwise it’s a totally purpose built race car.

Can anyone tell me if we can replace tuning before starting the race in multplayer?

Nice! 02 Camaro SS, that just about completes the list of cars that I was hoping to have day 1. I’m already happy with my pre-order.

Trailer said over 450 cars.

Yes that’s why I put “+” after 450.

Still no E46 M :frowning:

BTCC cars are definitely welcome to see, the GT/Touring/V8 Supercar races are easily the most fun I’ve had in the Forza Motorsport series.

155! I am sure that we will see Subaru Legacy 2004 then!

Oooh, Alfa 155, that’s going straight in my basket!!

On a serious note though, not a particularly exciting reveal this week and like I have been from the start I am sure all cars from FM5 and FH2 will be in FM6 along with (very few) new ones to make up the 450+ car list.

Also, 2003 Audi RS6…well I never, such a demanded car indeed lol, maybe someone at Turn10 owns one so they thought they might as well reintroduce it? I’ll laugh and cry if the real demanded cars aren’t in the game at launch, like the S14, but I think it will be and it’ll be revealed in the final reveal just to keep you sweating.

The RS6 isn’t the most exciting car in the world but it’s an executive sedan with stupid amounts of performance and performed pretty well in auto racing form.

Also, I’m not the biggest JDM expert so I’m wondering why the S14 is a big(ger) deal than the S15 that was just announced or the S13 that’s already in.

It’s mostly a completion thing, and with the car list having gone back to square one with the next-gen jump, the S14 has gotten no love so far.

The S14 is a big part of Forza and especially drifting. It was actually the first Nissan Silvia to be on Forza Motorsport 1, before the S13 and S15. It is not fair for this car to be missed out on. It is too significant to Forza. Rumours have it apparently that GT6 has the licenses to it (No Source) :frowning: but it is the most requested car of the wishlists and I think they should do something like porsche if it is apart of the licensing issues with GT6. The S14 is a big deal because it is one of the most seen drift cars. [Mod Edit - This is not a wish list - D]
