Forza Apex launches then disappears

Game wont launch, it will start up for a few seconds with a white screen, and then close itself.

Why isn’t it working?

  • Check the Windows Store to make sure there’s not an Update button
  • Run Windows Update from your settings to make sure you have all updates
  • Unplug all networking equipment, reboot, plug back in, sign in to the Xbox app, and try again
  • Try using the exact drivers below, even if they’re not the most recent
  • Try disabling a video card if you are running more than one
  • Try loading the game in window mode, not full screen

Your system specs?

yeah man same issue an noone can give a def answer to the issue, this is redicoulous,an yes i meet ALL the specs before someonee asks for that or dxdiag, build 14342,i7 3770k,8gb ram,gtx 970,plenty of harddrive space and like many EVERY thing else on my pc works fine ALL other games and appz ,only thing not working is this game

I am having same issue, I have been playing Apex for a week now, yesterday I went to open Apex, the app started as usual, but then it just disappeared. It won’t start.

Same here, i7 4790K@4.5Ghz, Fury 1100/570, 16Gb DDR3 2400Mhz of Ram, plenty of SSD space. Smooth as butter last week, crashed from the get-go this week.

Same for me

Start the game from the Windows store and it should work.

It doesn’t.

Please post your dxdiag info file for full system info. …(how to)

Same here it opens and closes right away and it started happening just yesterday and btw there has been no recent change to my computer

Same here, I’ve been posting in another forum post about it…been trying to play the game for months (since I finally got a DX12 card). I opened Event Viewer to see what I could find, and get this:

Faulting application name: ForzaMotorsportApex.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x58222cd2

Then under details it reports this:

I’ve tried do so some system checks, run sfc /scannow on C: and such, but no luck so far. DXdiag shows no problems found. I have 8gb of memory but at the point the game closes it’s at less than 4gb of usage. I tried more pagefile, etc. nothing seems to work.

I’ve also used various old and new ATI drivers all with the exact same result…close with no error message right when the Turn10 logo is about to show. This led me to search for some sort of video codec problem, as the game uses Bink video…but other games with Bink have no problems. And Every other game I have runs perfectly fine. I installed the Bink video tools and no changes.

Super frustrating!
