Forza 7 Expansions?

At this point, and unlike Horizon, I feel like any FM expansions that will actually add something we haven’t seen before are Very unlikely, however, if I’m trying to stay positive…

  1. Rallycross could be the most fitting expansion and a VERY welcome one given all of the off-road and frankly unsuitable-to-race-track vehicles in the game. One point in this option’s favour is that some of the courses already in the game already do Rallycross in real life (Silverstone, Hockenheim…) which would likely make it easier to pull off.

  2. F1 - This is my personal #1 Hope for the Franchise. I’m very glad to have the F1 cars we do have in the game, but the only era that feels really fleshed out is the 60’s Grand Prix. If we got a bunch of new iconic F1 cars from the 70s through the early 00’s, oh man that would be a dream come true.

  3. Goodwood - When Forza was doing promo at Goodwood this year it made me wonder if we might end up getting some of that action in the game. This would be great as the Goodwood race course and Hill Climb course are both awesome - The Hill Climb especially would be a ton of fun - Goodwood also has a pretty killer Rally stage up in the forest, which if the Rallycross stuff ever gets added could fit in quite nicely.

Here’s hoping… Despite all logic

Scalextric could be fun, especially if there’s a track creator.

That…that would be incredible! One of my favourite ideas about GT6 (having not played it yet, still finishing GT5) is being able to run times up the hill climb course. I imagine it would be absolutely incredible in Forza if it was ever implemented, especially with the classic race cars we have. I can see a fair few people running their own Festival of Speed events!

I agree a Goodwood expansion would be great.

I hope so, really enjoying how cars handle in Forza 7 and I’ll be getting the XOneX so I’ll be playing this for a long time… Until Horizon 4 comes out, at least. An environment-based DLC would be cool, like just a bunch of cool new different kind of maps, or just a very different setting. I don’t know, I’d like them to surprise me.

Hillclimbs would be great but they have a big limiting factor:

Length.

Unless we’re talking Pikes Peak, Race To The Sky or Col de Turini, most hillclimbs are only a kilometre or two in length (ie shorter than even the shortest Forza circuit) and there’s no real option do “laps”. Current record for Goodwood is 41 seconds, can you imagine how annoyed people would be by 30 seconds of loading screen, followed by 45 seconds of racing, then 30 seconds of results windows/rewards, then 30 seconds loading the next one etc etc. At least with time-trial/Rivals on circuits you can choose to continue lapping after the first one and get in to a groove.

Fuji Kaido would fill this role fine. It’s be nice to see something like that, but with dirt.

There’s a simple way around that, while not fixing it for multiplayer, but for something like rivals mode/singleplayer.

You load into the event area, and you can choose your car from there, rather than needing to back out to change it, then load back in. Even better would be being able to see your car collection in the paddock at the Goodwood hillclimb!

I’m going to go with rallycross purely because of the amount of off road type vehicles which would be slightly more at home there and because I think that would be pretty cool.

I really hope it happens, but I find myself asking… What’s more likely? 1. Turn10 included all those off road cars because they were planning on releasing a suitable expansion for them - Or 2. They threw them in simply because they had them already finished from Horizon 3 and there’s no plan beyond getting to claim “+700 cars”

Call me cynical, but I think the latter feels more likely.

Tracks for the offroad vehicles. Including Pikes Peak Hillclimb.

Pikes Peak is all tarmac now, offroaders wouldn’t be that great on it.

My guess on one of the expansions would be a Playground Games pack. Missing from FM7 are MP games like Infected, It and King of the Hill modes. These were in previous Forza Motorsport titles. And included will be the long awaited and much requested return of CAR SOCCER !!! Please! Loved Car Soccer in Forza Motorsport 4. It was the best social game with online mates. Great way to unwind after some circuit racing.

I’m guessing right now rally mode

Pike’s Peak has an exclusive deal with Gran Turismo, so you won’t see that track in Forza. (This is why PP was dropped from Dirt 4 after appearing in Dirt Rally) I think Goodwood has (had?) an exclusive deal with Sony too.

I’m hoping rally or rally cross. That might help to appease the drifters a little bit .

My guess is rallycross and i hope so!! But i have been thinking why there is not have been drifting expansion? That would sell very well becouse many forza player likes drifting!

So you believe many do you check the Drift achevments for any Forza game and see just how many actually did them it is less than 1%

My idea for a Forza Expansion would be Drag Racing. If The Forza Team already tackled Rally Racing in Forza Horizon and NASCAR in Forza 6, maybe they could do a IHRA Drag Racing Expansion. Instead of normal Drag Racing, they’d bring Drag Cars to actual tracks like Nurburgring or Bernese Alps.

IHRA drag racers in lobbies. People would literally have missiles for smashing, please help us. LOL
