Forza 5 Cloud Syncing Issue

Hi,

Currently I’m right now on my 3rd Xbox One, this is due to many cloud issues which I’ve been facing with the console since purchasing the console on launch day

When I had my second console, I installed the game without any issues. However when I got to the screen before the menu, I was prompted with the following:

THE CLOUD CAN’T SYNC YOUR DATA AT THE MOMENT

WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAVE YOUR DATA FROM?

ON THIS CONSOLE TUE 23RD DEC 2013

I clicked on this console, thinking that the data might transfer over but it failed to materialize and all my saved data was wiped off the console completely. I spent £100 on the game including the car pass and bonus content and now I’ve to start from the beginning in trying to obtain the cars all over again, including the ones Turn 10 had given me as gifts. Is there anyway these could be given to me as gifts?

I was also told by Microsoft that the developers were working in conjunction with their Technical team to try and come up with a resolution but this was not the case at all.

I was hoping that a member of the Turn 10 studios team is able to contact me

Just from what you’ve posted, I think you’ve got it backwards. FM5 saves to The Cloud, not locally on the hard drive. There is primarily a small file (something like about 30 MB) stored on the hard drive, that’s all. Your paints, vinyls, racing records, etc., are all in The Cloud.

If you told the system to sync from information on the hard drive, there was nothing to sync. It might be best if you write all the details in an email to Turn 10 at forzafb@microsoft.com and ask them to assist.

i live in lebanon and i face same problem, the internet in lebanon is very slow causing this problem, so i think you must check your internet.
also, i believe that you are signing on another xbox using your id, so the best option to select in this situation is sync from cloud since if you sync from hard disk you will lose what you have earned on the other xbox.

The one issue which is confusing me is that the following games had synced over the data to the Xbox without any issue:

  • FIFA 14
  • BattleField 4
    -NBA 2K14
    -Ryse Son Of Rome
    -Call of Duty: Ghosts

All of them worked without any issues. Microsoft confirmed that my Internet connection was correct and that that wasn’t the issue.

I’ve emailed Turn 10 and I’m waiting on their reply

Are you signing in using your id on another console to play forza?

Me too,I’ve lost ALL my game data as the cloud wont synce,never had a problem with this until the latest update WTF?
