Really happy to see Mugello and Maple Valley return to the FM series, and with Suzuka returning it must mean they have visited Japan quite recently! This should bode well for more Japanese cars and tracks in future FM tiles, if not FM7.
I can’t wait to try the Jabel Hafeet Mountain Pass track, although I think they exaggerated the skyline of Dubai considering the actual distance from Dubai.
Thinking about it a little more, it could be a derivative of the Dubai “environment.”
Bernese Alps and Prague are my absolute favourites for flat out fun and really because they are not so technical so they are a nice break.
I agree the Yas and CotA are dull, but I don’t want them to remove any really. I hope it is closer to 40 locations, because otherwise we are going to lose a lot, for no real reason!
Brian E mentioned and I quote
“You’ll drive those cars on more than 30 racing environments, the largest list of tracks in Forza Motorsport history. So far, we’ve revealed three of those locations – the new Dubai “crown jewel” track, the Nürburgring, and a rebuilt Mugello. (To read more, check out our story covering the Forza 7 E3 demo). Look for more car and track reveals ahead of the launch of the game.”
Hey, with words like “The largest list of tracks in Forza Motorsport history”, I’m stoked now and hopeful T10 will give SMS a run for their money with 50 tracks promised for PC2 (that includes Texas Motor Speedway - IndyCar) and 15 more yet to be revealed. I’m more excited now about the track line up in this game and less so about the car listing, because IMO that’s complete.
Lol Don’t get your hopes up, if it was 50 locations you can be damn sure they would have advertised it as such. It’s pretty much gaurunteed that it will be 32-34 track locations in total. Hopefully we get 3-4 more through DLC though
I hate hate hate Bernese Alps, ever since the demo of FM4 where it debuted. It’s terrible and it forces me to drive cars that are terrible or boring everywhere else. You either have your only straight on a downhill that’s so steep power is irrelevant or its uphill directly after a high speed sweeper where again power is trumped by cars that carry speed better. The whole rest of the track is crooked, but not crooked enough to make cars slow down, just enough to keep loose cars off the power.
Prague short is OK but Prague full is not much better than Bernese alps.
I enjoyed Rio for the challenge but it is too bumpy. Smooth it out just a bit and take out the ridiculous curbs I’m forced to drive over at an angle and it’s a solid track, like the old Tokyo and Rio layouts from Forza 1 and 2.
Maple Valley never was a favorite of mine but it’s nostalgic. I remember racing Hummer H1s, BMW M1 coupes, Hurst Olds 442 on it in cycled production lobbies which were fun.
Suzuka and Mugello are great news. Any chance of Fujimi Kaido sneaking back in? Not a great racing track but so much fun to slide around. I know I’m probably alone on this one but I enjoyed the New York fantasy track through Times Square, and the long layout from way back was great too.
Any track that has a good mix of sharp bends, sweepers, straights, chicanes would be right up my alley.
Glad to see Maple Valley returning, as that was one of my favourite tracks. And if there’s any track I wouldn’t mind not seeing return, it’s Long Beach.
Well let’s just say hypothetically they removed the following tracks; bernese alps, the test track, yas marina, and like 2 more non popular tracks then that opens the door for about 10 new tracks coming into the game. Forza 6 had 28 different tracks and I’m going to guess forza 7 has about 34 tracks.
That track has featured prominently in the Forza RC races so I think it’s unlikely to be removed as T10 seem to like it. I quite like it personally, fast and flowing without many opportunities for corner cutting.
I get that it is a waste of assets, but surely having to port it from FM6 to FM7 would take up developer time, instead of just igorning it and leaving it to rot. I would rather they use that time working on another track.
I was thinking that too actually, that it would be a waste of time porting it. However I was told that it only took the guys at Turn 10 2 days to port the entirety of FM6 to the Xbox One X so I’m assuming porting Bernese Alps to FM7 wouldn’t have taken too long considering they are both running the same ForzaTech engine. I personally loathe the track for racing (I do concide however it is a nice tlowing track for drifting) but I know it is a fan and looks to be a developer favourite.
In the FM7 VIP card/graphic on the Xbox website it shows the Hairpin on Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Also, in the Day One Car Pack graphic it shows part of Rio. If these are not placeholders, you can add these to the list. (I do not think the other graphics show any new tracks that have not been revealed in some way).
