I would say with the 4 they already announce and 28 from fm6. There is a good chance Top gear track won’t be in there not very useful for racing but is for other modes of play. I would say they have another 3-4 track total of 35-36 tracks. 4 months of car and track reveals they might show a new track each month until launch mixed into other reveals of returning tracks. Sedona would be a welcome that’s very well made fictional track. Always wanted to race there at night .Oval , circuit layouts , and drag strip all in one plus reverse ribbons.
I hope they work out the bugs that stop Monza full from being playable in lobbies. Always seems to be 1 or 2 tracks with this problem every game.
Yeah, the reason they had to ramp up from 30 tracks announced at E3 was because Slightly Mad Studios announced they will feature 50+ tracks in Project CARS 2, then later revised that number to over 60! I believe T10S were trying had downplay the issue of having only 30 tracks with the hoopla of scintillating graphics, which all game developers have to account for in their code because of new hardware requirements in Xbox One X anyway, the new 911, dynamic weather, which to a lesser degree is already in FH3 as there are races that start dry then turn wet (dynamic weather!!!), and customizable drivatars. It did not work and fans of the game demand at least 15 new tracks on top of the 28 already in FM6. Nice try though T10S.
I doesn’t matter how many tracks PCars 2 has if it plays on controller the way PCars 1 does. I have never been so disappointed in a racing game. Absolutely unplayable on controller
Even on the xbox when I played PCars it was frustratingly bad. the delay from turning and the fact that the physics just seemed to be off everywhere was enough to make me stop playing it for good.
T10 would respond how they laser scanned ever inch of the track and did whatever else to ensure lighting, how tires responded to various wet surfaces, and where puddles are located.
Basically saying their real world tracks are of the highest quality whereas PCARs may not be.
Looks like on the surface T10 wants quality and PCARs wants quantity.
I remember way back when about a large vocal fan base that used to trash T10 for having inaccurate tracks. Now they are accurate and the complaint is not enough.
I’m on the quantity side of the argument and could care less about quality but T10 has chosen quality over everything else. It is annoying, but T10 has made it clear that it has to be near perfect.
Yeah good call, it is the most visible stat, 4k60 be damned. Or is PC2 doing that as well? Very cool when the much less mature and less billion dollars franchise outplays the goliath in such style. I’m assuming they will have a lot of point to point tracks, which Forza now shies away from so much. But yeah the competition cannot be perceived as a bad thing.
Edit: Okay so 200 cars across 8 disciplines instead of 700 cars but only the 1 actual discipline in gameplay. I don’t like that comparison for Forza either, especially if 100 are NASCAR paint jobs. And PC2 even gets Porsche now! Okay it’s nice to share, but T10 has played that up such a lot that it is a surprise. Maybe like they played up the real world locations of Horizon 3 then just ignored that aspect for expansions. It all remains the seen of course, including the actual tracks, but that be an impressive count!
In addition to Mugello, Dan Greenawalt declared in twitter that there is a revival of the course. (And was forbidden to the official Forza account)
However, he talk leak the revival of Maple Valley and Suzuka.
I think that he wants to talk about other courses and he will not be able to endure it.
Mannnnn im so ready for Forza 7, sadly all this time I thought I was playing in 4K on this OneS but i’ll trade up again. Getting butterflies thinking what Horizon 4 is gonna be on the new console. WHOA
Well hopefully they don’t overhype the pretty map and not bother actually making the game fun, as they did for H3. Even if they just 4ked H2 it would be enough lol
Caught some footage from IGN and unfortunately it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting the actual Jebel Hafeet mountain road, more like a small snippet of it integrated into the Dubai track as a whole. Still very interesting, but dissapointing if thats really all we get, was looking forward to a proper mountain pass.
I wish they went all out with the track list. They already have plenty of cars but we need more tracks! Great to see Mugello and Suzuka back but we need new tracks as well. I wish they would just drop the silly fantasy tracks for real world tracks they have Horizon for the fantasy stuff
Some of the fantasy or made up tracks like Maple Valley and Bernese Alps are some of my favorite. I would prefer that they just add and add, not delete any at all. Choice is good yes?
Maple Valley isn’t bad because at least it’s technical. I hate the fantasy tracks, bernese alps is probably,my most hated along with Prague and Rio. Rio is overly bumpy for no reason at all with zero runoff anywhere as well as being far too tight… So it’s always a complete mess online. Bernese alps is just constant long boring sweepers with no technical sections, it’s literally just a pretty track to show off the graphics. I agree that Yas Marina is a terrible track with corner cutting everywhere with no flow to it though.
Oh well, so far the track list is moving in the right direction except for Dubai which looks like another boring high speed sweeper only track. I just hope we get some new to the franchise real world tracks thrown in.
FM6 was a boring real world tracks hell.
At least I like Maple Valley more than boring courses like COTA and Yas Marina.
Forza series with the best balance in the course was FM4.
FM7 have Suzuka, Mugello, and Maple Valley. I appreciate that they will combine reality and fantasy.
