Yes I also noticed how they can also look after tyres better, better throttle cont, smoother steering and braking maybe, either way it was far better than I could manage. I also noticed something else smart about the AI. I ran it again last night and started in 3rd. Got in to first with the plan of holding them up. They pitted on lap 7 and performed an undercut lwhich I thought I was smart but how they got tyres to last 14 laps is amazing.
The developers have most definitely reactivated rubberbanding in the endurance AI. Especially in the top end cars.
If it was, I wouldn’t have finished over 1 min 30
Behind first place, despite being in the same PI (999) never had that happen in any Forza game before. I’ve always been able to comfortably beat the top AI. ( it’s never been difficult)
Qith rubberbanding, typically, once you break out of a rubberbanding zone you can open up a gap. At least that’s been my experience with other games.
The definition of rubberbanding. Which all forzas have noticeably done before
- an aspect of game design that restrains the margin between the winning and losing players, either by awarding bonuses to the weakest player or handicapping the player in first place.
In previous instalments the AI would gain a lead, sometimes seemingly insurmountable, especially in longer races but then you’d gradually reel them in. That was rubberbanding
It’s cool, everyone else is calling it rubberbanding. I’m good with it. I’m not going to get into a long drawn out internet brewhaha over something I really couldn’t give a [redacted] about. Later.

…How those Porsche 919 Hybrid are allowed to compete in Silverstone event ? They just leave everything else in the dust (Difficulty 6). I know, I’m not the best, but usually I can manage keeping cars behind me. In the Sebring race, my best was 2nd in the Ferrari, so not a bad result.
…So explain how a car is allowed in the same race while lapping a whole 10 SECONDS FASTER than the best P-class runner (me) ??? It’s not even trying to win, it’s doing the impossible !
(and I tried to play the same car… Spins at every corner. Dunno why but this thing doesn’t wwant to turn AT ALL)
Yeah it sucks. I re-ran it though whilst watching the le mans race.
Finished the second attempt in 1st with less than a second lead, suspiciously close!
Sort of. They show on-screen way too early (1.5 seconds sometimes) and have a habit of showing when two parts of a circuit get close together, giving you arrows of drivers that aren’t even on your part of the circuit.
I don’t need to be stressing over drivers that aren’t even close enough to dive a corner, let alone make any move on my position. The arrow feels more broken than before they “fixed” them.

Why are the default tunes on the cover car Cadillac borked? I bought the Whelen whale, and took it to Road America for some testing. I recall someone suggesting that the Cadillac’s quirks of not wanting to turn, can be tuned out.
I take the car into upgrades and then tuning, and stopped on the alignment tab. What on Earth is happening here? The front toe is out so far that the car shouldnt want to go straight, and the rear toe is so far in, the rear shouldn’t want to turn. I throw +.02 toe out up front and, a conservative +.01 toe out on the rear. Then I set the caster to max.
My next stop is the wheel settings because, the steering doesn’t match what my Fanatec is doing and the car still feels lethargic when it comes to turning. I got good results with 50% on other prototypes so, I start there.
After making only these adjustments, the car was livable. It wasn’t perfect but, being able to drive it hard without spinning or ploughing off the track, spoke volumes. Why is the default tune on the Calillac on the cover so bad? And what is with the newer prototypes needing the steering limits cut in half?
Edit: Yeah, its no fluke. I was able to do a good job against the A.I. in a rainy race at Daytona Road course. The car can definitely be tuned into shape. I only wonder what kanuckle head thought it would be a good idea to have the front and rear toe settings adjusted like that?
Come on people, vote for this suggestion so we can have proper clarity and exchange from the devs
I must give it to turn 10, they did an amazing job with this last update, I didn’t know there was one coming, but whatever is on now, is definitely going into the right place. 30 min race in GT, I’m having a blast, it finally doesn’t feel like parading after the qualifications, you can even recover from a bad start imposed on you by another player. Verry good! It’s not clear yet to me what they did with the time limit to enter a race, but it feels smoother (even if it introduced another bug), you can even enter a race right before it starts, verry good!
I thought T10 didn’t listen to it’s community, I hope I will have to apologize for being a potty mouth about you guys. Keep the updates coming

I downloaded the free Porsche pack. But for some reason, whenever I equip the Porsche suit, I get another race suit on my driver whenever I boot the game again. I quit and then later start up again.
Anyone else with this problem??
Playing on the Xbox Series X
Yes this has been reported. I’ve the same issue. It happens with any suit
Wait for real? I gave my driver that suit I haven’t noticed anything yet. I always skip the podium sequence.
Im just gonna say the AI is absolutely horrible for Endurance racing. I can’t last 3 laps without them either brake checking me, ramming into me, let alone 20. In the meantime im gathering all the penalties possible and getting frustrated as hell. Also dare i ever spin out on the track because the AI will absolutely make sure to screw me over by hitting me + full damage means it’s basically over and i MUST restart the race.
There is one part of the track on Sebring just before that long straight where the AI just brakes too much and of course i rear ended it and got myself a 4 second penatly and almost full damage. I must’ve restarted that race like 5 times already.
I genuenly want to give the game some credit but darn it it’s simply NOT possible. You could’ve brought the whole circus of features with this update, and it wouldn’t matter at all since the AI still remains unfixed, even though there was supposed to be improvements. Honectly i did see them at first, but with this update i don’t anymore. Nothing has changed with the AI for the past 8 months. And add up to that the exclusivity of the current featued tour which will just go away in a month. You people really manged to co*k it up real good.
Next time you wonder why players are being so constantly nagative, maybe look back around and try to reflect on your own negligence. This was trully a build from the ground up moment.
Since I still own the game, I reinstalled it and decided to give it another try tonight. Loaded up the game, jumped into Featured Multiplayer B Class Open, got a couple laps of practice in and… The game crashed.
I just… Can’t anymore. This has got to be the worst produced title of the last 6 years.
