I want to drive only the best DLC cars in F5 and 6 - I don’t care much for a car pass since that means downloading a lot of cars I won’t ever drive. My focus is mostly on the supercars, sports cars, exotics and high-end sedans. I don’t mind the race cars either.
So to enjoy the best cars in 5 and 6, wouldn’t it be better to get the VIP pass? I hear the only way to drive the 458S, 350GT or Veneno in F6, for example, is through the VIP pass.
I already purchased the LaF pack for F5 - what does a F5 VIP pass get me?
I’m not concerned with extra earnings - I’m willing to spend $40 on both F5 and 6 (in total), but I want to end up with only the best, most sought-after cars, not countless ones that I’ll never be driving.
I’m leaning on VIP, but what if I miss out on really good cars by now getting the season/car pass. Then again, the VIP is $10 less… ahhh… decisions decisions!
I’ve never bought DLC cars for any Forza game and I’ve been fully content. It seems each game has more and more cars included with the base game. If anything I would cherry pick the ones you like best. If you area thinking about buying packs or cars to chase leaderboard cars or times, then you are chasing ghosts and wasting your money. If however, there is a car you really like as DLC, don’t be afraid to buy it and use it. Drive what you like, not what the leaderboard suggests.
If you don’t have the Ultimate Edition don’t even waste your time on the car packs or VIP. You should just wait for the Porsche Expansion if you want something that’s worth the money.
Agree. I only bought ultimate for f6 as it offered early access and was a better offer overall at the time. With hindsight of DLC purchases.
To say the ultimate package offered more to the game is just not true. I would have not noticed the difference game wise to the significant extra cost. Which was around 100% more than I could have got the standard edition
DLC is a con and when it’s abolished I will be happy. It offers next to nothing in my opinion.
I never buy the so called special editions usually but it’s forza and I play it a lot so I opted for it. Will not again though.
Well, my main motivation for VIP are not the extra earnings but rather those 5 cars. Car Pass for FM6 isn’t really feasible since it has many cars I won’t be driving at all.
I already got the FM5 Car Pass as that unlocks every single DLC car in the game… well, not the VIP ones, but no biggie there. Got the F6 VIP as I love those cars and don’t care much for the Car Pass cars.
One problem though - in all the haste and excitement, the first thing I purchased was the LaFerrari pack, only to realize that the Car Pass gives access to every car including the LaF.
So that’s one pack purchased twice - do you think I can get the $10 back? I know there’s a no refunds policy.
You probably could if you phone xbox customer support. But the time taken and the cost of the call would feel like a $30 job. I’d leave it if I were you, put it down as a learning experience.
nah you wont, it’s called bad luck
happened in forza horizon 2 with some of the packs there when you got 3 packs free when preordering forza 6…anyway it’s only $10
VIP is a good call if you like the cars in it, but otherwise you might as well skip. By now you’ll know what kind of cars to expect from the Car Pass so if you like what’s already been released that could be a good buy, otherwise just buy what you like individually.
There’s no shame in just not buying any DLC at all - the game has heaps of cars already. =)
VIP is totally worth it for me because those cars are amazing. The Car Pass I do not find appealing because it does not cater to my taste in cars - I would literally not be driving 95% of those cars had I gotten the Car Pass.
If you enjoy the Horizon series the VIP will likely be half price to those who would like to be VIP when FH3 is out. FH2 it wasnt really worth it though.
I haven’t bought any DLC at all for H2 and don’t need to. The stock car roster does it for me, and I’m not really motivated to try out different cars in H2 as opposed to F6.
Tell me about it… wish the game didn’t have useless cars which are no fun to upgrade, tune or race. It’s a motorsport game… and I want to see only sought-after road and race cars from different eras.
