For “teh lulz”? Or whatever the kids say these days. It’s going to be fast off the line, and potentially help its driver slam into the wall at 185+ mph at the first sharp corner, hopefully taking out a few teammates with them. Now it’s a bit clearer why a lot of people even in fully tuned cars get 0 points and DNF.

I wonder how that tune stacks up against Quantum JAK5’ tune, that was among the dirt tunes tested out by you for a super saloons dirt trial several seasons ago. An XE-S with Quantum’s tune is actually one of the cars I’m seriously considering using.

I expected it to at least be fast off the line too but although it isn’t eligible my Dodge Dart ghost on Tulum on actual Offroad tires still left it well behind on launch :joy:

For Jak’s XE-S though I stopped giving his tunes any kind of engagement after the things he admitted to doing when he was posting on here for a short time, his tunes aren’t terrible but I think it leaves enough of a sour taste on it’s own when someone is trying to brute force themselves into popularity with underhanded tactics, when the downloads/likes/uses a person gets on a tune is the priority over the actual quality of it I don’t think they have a shred of credibility about them as a tuner.

I’ve ended up in far too many arguments over the topic over the years (I suggest people search Bill Murray’s quote about arguments for how every single one of them went) but since I’ve learnt most of the basics of tuning + building a car in the last year or so I’ve realised just how much some tuners have tried essentially straight up lying to all of us, how much they’ll try and dress the tunes up by using completely subjective and inconsistent metrics as measurements of their quality, or how they’ll come out with nothing but vague and generic statements when talking about tunes in general, but then when there’s even a slight whiff of objectivity or proper know-how thrown into the conversation they have nothing but defensive nonsense or anger to respond with.

If someone like me can go from absolutely clueless about tuning to competent enough to set a bunch of fastest auto times and even a WR with their own creations in about 12 months trust me any long time tuner who is still just pumping out tunes ‘good enough’ for seasonal events does not care about what they’re doing and never has.

The obvious choice is missing of course but even ignoring everything surrounding the Bone Shaker I simply don’t like driving it per se so never use it, but otherwise I tried giving the list some good variety, and a wide range from strong to absolutely terrible, somehow the DaVinci is a better road/street car on Offroads than it is on anything actually off-road :man_shrugging:

TYPO ALERT!

The mural is on the back of a house just south of the Cruce de Valle race icon. It always takes me a bit to remember where it’s at. Enjoy
