Drift zone 3rd try. I told you guys to practice. Easy trial. Won all 3 despite my really bad wall bouncing I don’t care who I hit team. Looks like a nice easy Forzathon too.
At this point in every Trial there was always one DC on Elmsdon. Always person who was supposed to start from first place. Is this some kind of feature?
Never noticed that Elmsdon issue before, is there something I should know? Should I avoid doing it in ranked?! I’d rather not but I will if it’s disconnection Russian roulette.
I can’t actually recall it happening in FFA but it may do. At RTA, it’s a known thing that someone will always get disconnected before the Elmsdon race starts. I’ve got d/ced the last two adventures I’ve entered in convoy there. Sounds like it’s happening in the Trial as well.
Hmm I did it twice earlier and never noticed. Just tried it again and after a very long wait for the first race to start (same as earlier) there were five, we’d lost one.
I’ll look out for this in ranked FFA but I’ve done it loads of times and probably would have come a cropper myself there statistically by now so hopefully that is okay at least.
edit - tried the trial again and the same thing happened, so it’s reproducible. The leader is gone when the race starts.
It takes like 90 seconds from when the scoreboard first appears, to the race starting.
Insert a friendly reminder into the pre-race screens in the Trial that the word ‘team’ does not mean drive into and block the blue ones like someone who’s brain cells are outnumbered by the number of gears in the Rimac, even more so when they’re the only player who can get the full 650pts for the team.
Anyway I used the Maserati, looked the best on paper for upgrading so went with it and won all 3 races comfortably despite 2 of my ‘teammates’ efforts.
Ok so i know Halloween is getting close but that was just weird. 1st Race, 4 start 2 finish, a loss. 2nd Race 2 start and 1 finish, me in third a win on points. 3rd Race 2 start and my teammate is in a S1 Camaro!!! What the… LOL
don’t check out the Backstage Pass during your Forzathon run. If you’re going to check it, do it before or after. It seems to have stopped counting progress for me. I was doing my 20mile drive, and stopped at the festival to check out the Backstage Pass. I happened to check my Forzathon progress, and noticed I was at 7.4 miles. So I kept going. A while later, I check back, and I’m still at 7.4. Drove a little more just to make sure, and sure enough, my miles stopped counting. Closed and restarted the game to fix it.
If you’re doing the Broadway Windmill run, and it doesn’t trigger right away, don’t rewind. It seems to be triggering a bit late. Like, in the air, late. If you try rewinding, it will cancel the jump altogether. I hit the jump cleanly, noticed it hadn’t triggered, so reflexively hit rewind to try and trigger it, and it didn’t trigger again. Had to go back and do the run again, and noticed that I was well over 1000ft in the air before the counter showed up on the screen. Hit the jump, stay in the air, let it trigger late, and if your experience is any different from mine, report back if you want to compare notes. I’ve actually noticed a lot of danger signs seem to have trouble triggering lately, especially on the first pass. So maybe I was right the first time, and it didn’t trigger. But the second pass definitely triggered way later than it should have.
Off the top of my head, I would try to photograph at the DERWENT - WATER TRAIL.
A dirt Racing series near the southwest end of the lake just above Ambleside.
I took a couple of shots already and they were accepted.
I used a Maserati that I was driving at the moment. Not a FORD which is required to get a completion of the event.
It actually took me a while to figure out why it did it when I typed it…was back on some event I was blathering about. Think about the four letters it is replacing. And I’m like “seriously?!” it can;t even be IN the word?
Maybe it thought it was a Mazdarati? Ok, so bad joke. Maybe it’s one of those things were you are supposed to do something different than what you are told to do ala Top Gear Horizon story and Stunt Driver challenge.
