The Hennessey Velociraptor is an absolutely terrible vehicle to drive and does not even come with a V8 engine as standard, as the conversion does not swap the original engine. Getting it to steer is a labour in itself, as it was built to overcome obstacles, not so much to race.

However, one of the neat things about Horizon is the Blueprint feature, which means you can create an event with it and the G63 6x6 and laugh as the AI pathetically misses corners due to the extreme understeer while you cruise to victory!

As long as you don’t expect meta levels of performance from it, it’s a cool addition. After all, regardless of how badly it turns, it still is a 6x6 truck.

The Velociraptor comes “stock” with an uptuned V6. Neighborhood of 750HP. Is there no conversion in upgrades? That would be disappointing if not.

Maybe a little tuning will make it a formidable vehicle. Regardless though, as you said… 6x6 lol

Conversion as in Hennessey taking a Raptor and building the 6x6, not in-game conversion. In essence it’s a Raptor with an extra axle and more boost…

Engine swaps: 7.2L Racing V8, Racing V6TT which are both nice.

It’s gonna be really difficult to make this thing usable but the cool factor can’t be denied.

Ah, I read your infliction wrong. As long as it has that racing V8 option it should be a blast to run through the map with. Lol

On another note, there is a new Xbox Series X T-Shirt available. Haven’t seen it posted anywhere, it’s kinda neat for a cosmetic.

@Clutch63

I already took the Xbox Series X T-shirt

Yes. I for some reason actually like it. I think it’s the color scheme going on. Lol

Won the Velociraptor last night. I look forward to playing with it later today. I like the Mercedes 6x6 even though it is thoroughly ridiculous and can’t turn to save it’s life. I find using the ebrake helps a little.

Also noticed that the Velociraptor is listed in the Top 5 for the Royal Terrace Speed Zone. At 250+ mph too. Well done, lol.

Somebody recently posted about trial needing to have player cars ghosted, well now I met such human waste of a space.
Ok trial A 800 dry road racing in classic racers, nothing special there, I just picked Shelby Daytona because of grip, could also use Alfa Romeo TZ2, but that one lacks grip.
Firs trial went OK-ish, as I was pushed out of checkpoint by drivatar and only managed 2nd - lost to some players Ford GT40, won next two races and team won 3:0, drivatars are super slow, so no challenge from them.
Then it was time time to do trial again with my friend, I tuned Ford GT40 for him and off we went. I won first race and my friend came in 2nd or 3rd. then the second race and ow boy … I was about to … do many things.
Well there were 2 persons from F2ST club, one had Shelby Dytona that actually drove ok, but other human waste drove Jag Mk.2, guess they were there to have their friend won, as they squeezed me into the wall at last straight then dive bombed me in s curve after finish line and T-boned me hard at the end of second straight, I kinda lost it there, don’t even know what place I finished.
Last race I was lucky to get best starting position of all players and managed a tight and fast first corner to get away of another dive bomb. The Jag driver also harassed my friend then finally decided to turn around at finish line and try to crash me head on on last lap, I narrowly avoided them and won the last race - reported and blocked.
But seriously such human waste shouldn’t be allowed to drive anywhere (even in real life) or anything and should be sent in appropriate institution and kept there.
But we’re here for racing, so tunes:
Shelby Daytona, tune - 608 196 288
Alfa Romeo TZ2, tune - 833 837 923
Ford GT40 Mk. 1, tune - shared as Road

Now breathe …
Solo championships and lets start with fastest class, so S1 900 street scene racing with McLarens
McLaren 570S Cupe, tune - 159 984 717

Maybe some cross country to clear my mind … A 800 extreme offroad maybe?
Ford F-150 Prerunner DD, tune - 795 974 100

and to last championship of dirt racing with C 600 retro hot hatches (I did put rally tires on)
Ford Fiesta XR2, tune - 146 288 640

PR stunts all done in offroad tuned Koenigsegg Agera RS, tune - 167 849 655

Forzathon car is the new Godzila … erm Nissan GT-R, I tuned it to S1 900, tune is shared as Road and actually drove whole Goliath with my friend, was very fun :).
Used highway to collect threading the needle skills and went to Edinburgh big roundabout to drift “tap” the walls

Hope this can be of any use/help to someone, take care and have fun, bb

PS
Hope nobody else meets such human waste in trials.

On Discord we were pondering that reducing front differential lock to minimum might improve drivability of Velociraptor.

Yeah, I was playing around with it a bit last night and noticed it starts out with everything, acceleration and deceleration, front and rear, at 100%. I typically never run with anything at full so brought it down. It wasn’t too bad but still, as you might expect, is all push. Had it set up for dirt track because I want to run it through a custom run of mine but was tooling around by Bamburgh. It lands like a lead brick. lol. Still cracks me up that on Day 1, someone had it at the top of the record list for Royal Terrace at over 250 mph. I thought at one point they were starting to remove the fake records, but still plenty of D100s at the top of different ones. Kinda irksome. Ok, I’m tired, I’m rambling. lol

Imho it drives quite good for a 6x6. Definitely better than the G63.
Racing V8, rear-aero, front tire pressure 1.6, rear 1.8, ARBs 1/65, 50/50 suspension with the softest possible setup, 15/0 front diff, 100/100 rear.
Certainly needed to lift the throttle slightly & instantly turn in through many turns but way better than expected.
Have a build shared with above setup and had some fun with in Unranked A800 road racing.

Correct…on all accounts. Better than the Merc 6x6, for sure. Although I found the stock motor on par with the 7.2 V8 is this case. Rare to see that but didn’t notice much difference when testing.

NightDriver7800, speaking of blueprints, I copied one of my cross country test tracks and made a winter one starring both 6x6 trucks. Turned out to be an easy win, for sure. Lol

I hope this helps you to do the challenges

The Trial - So I had a better experience than El Barto did, apparently. lol. Some poor drivers but not horrible ones. I wanted to compare the Mondial with the Spyder and so I did. The Ferrari runs a little faster but has more slide in the turns while the Spyder has plenty of grip. Might actually try to peel a little off to gain some more speed, we’ll see. There was a GT40 that was quite fast so I might give my own a tune and see what turns of that. Edit: ran an untuned Tipo just to check it out. Best I could do with three runs was a 1:20 at Holyrood. I can’t imagine the other two with all the turns. So yeah, lousy choice for a loaner.
1953 Ferrari 500 Mondial Tune: “Classic Road”
1955 Porsche 550A Spyder Tune: 449 882 094 “Smooth Running”

Edit: Tuned a '64 GT40. Definitely better. Consistently ran better times on 2 of 3 tracks. About the same on the last track but felt more in control. Tune: Dirty Trial"

PGG - Ran the Quattro. Feels a little off. It handles well, has decent speed. But the first gear pulls like a slug so I need to revisit this and see what’s up. Still people are quitting out, two were during the last round, like dude, you would have gotten credit. lol
1983 Audi Sport Quattro

Time Machine - I have a VW and a Honda tuned up for this, ran the VW so far. Decent run, holds a line, but not overly impressive. Odd thing during the last race, I was decently ahead when halfway through the last lap, an AI had come up on me from nowhere. Was with me til the finish.
1981 VW Scirocco S Gonna run a 1991 CR-X later and see how that does.

Edit: ran the CR-X …definitely better.

New Rules - I wasn’t sure what to pic for this but decided on the 12C. I need to revisit my tune because it has a bit of understeer at moderate speeds. Still runs well, good acceleration, good speed. Just needs a little more tweaking to be right.
2011 McLaren 12C coupe

Wilderness - Ok, so I ran this a few times for someone just to see what works well. They each drive differently, but they all handle it well. The Mini is a bit twitchy so is the least recommended but it does have the best acceleration out of the three. The T100 is the fastest, especially on open ground like the sprint. The Trailcat is just tried and true and has good stability. Just be careful not to catch on building edges due to the wide stance.
2016 Jeep Trailcat - Tune: 228 168 177 “Tweaked Cat”
1993 Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck - Tune: 393 150 401 “Barn Burner”
2013 Mini X-Raid All4 Racing Countryman - Tune: 182 485 923 “CC Winter Trial”

Ran a Ferrari 599XX Evo for all the PR stunts. Was bested by a Velociraptor on the Zone though…ok, enough, I’ll shut up about that. lol.

Normally I don’t list a car for the Forzathon because it is just whatever. But this week, you have to run the Goliath with it. I have a tune at S1 900 for Nissan GT-R, I’ll post it later. (Edit: it’s later. Tune: 482 053 218) It runs well, good acceleration, good speed, and holds a line. A little brake tap before fast turns helps out quite a bit. Otherwise, just let it do its thing.

After 14 weeks I have decided to promote myself from Newbie to Rookie, I am still a terrible racer, but now I know a lot more about the Game, thanks to the various Forums available here.
I just want to say that I enjoy racing Goliath. I have timed many of my cars, and on “clean runs” for Race Time (not Best Lap), 2015 Vette is 1st @ 10:03.23, but the Nissan GT-R, surprisingly, just slipped in a credible 10:25.39 to be 3rd best. As I said, I am a terrible racer so I probably have many other cars that could beat these times, if I could get them through without several missed checkpoints and with fewer wrecks. Anyway, I will just keep on keeping on, yours truly Great Grandad Nemo.

Welcome to the ranks, Rookie. I am a Junior Fledgling First Class. lol.

I am nearly as good as all the best on here. El Barto, NightDriver, Squryl, Clutch, all of 'em. Pick any race, any track, any of themand my times are within one minute lol.

Keep racing, enjoy the game. No matter how good you get, there is always a challenge and always room to improve.

Dude, unless you looked up my (scarce) times on the leaderboards, I’m not as good as you think, lol.

But I’m no slouch either!
