The Trial is challenging this week.

It’s exactly the same as this one from 8 months ago. Centenario is the best car for it. I’ve just done it twice and won both times. It’s easier than last time due to quitting teammates no longer giving points to the AI.

Actually, it’s not exactly the same. It’s the same 3 races, but different conditions, dry rather than wet. So other cars might be able to match or beat the Centenario in the dry conditions. Also, there have been more cars added in the last 8 months. I just did it again and someone had good pace in the Zerouno.

Though I’m not a fan of driving in the rain, some teams are a lost cause. No matter how perfectly you drive, your team can weigh you down. We were in a 3v6, a 3v6! Still couldn’t win 2 of 3. Ugh

The M5 FE having an higher cost than the 512 S in FPs? That’snweird.

That baffled me a bit. Last time I looked ages ago, they were plentiful and you couldn’t give them away. I looked again today and it’s the same. I hope nobody buys one in the shop thinking it’s a route to easy money.

I’ll try that, having trouble with the trial. This is going to take a few tries.

Do the developers even pay attention? How many times have we given away the M5 FE?

I’ve done two street scene events at edinburgh yet neither registered for the 4th challenge. Where actually is “edinburgh new town”? Is it not in edinburgh?
edit: my bad again. It was an event I already done and that’s the name of the event. God I’m so stupid! :stuck_out_tongue:

Got it, Centenario with Greeteddust8 tune called 0 top end,. Worked great. The dead weight quit so that helped. I got two 2nds (2nd and last race) and did bad on the 1st race. Last race is the easiest I think. Be patient and don’t hit your team mates, this will take most a few tries.

Struggling with the 3 Star Danger Sign in a retro saloon. Anyone got any suggestions on car/tunes to use?

Have already tried Audi RS2 with unrestricted rally engine and Lotus Carlton with V10, both upgraded as much as possible.

I have one for the 1988 BMW M5 Forza Edition - I forget actual name just now (away from console), but search my gamer tag with the M5 FE and you will see it.
Tested in winter, should be even better without snow.

cheers,

EDIT: Tune is listed as “Windmill Hero” for the BMW 1988 M5 FE - which is in the forzathon shop this week, a coincidence, as I made the tune last week, however useful if you don’t have the car.
Also have a tune for the race component part of the weekly for the same car - “S900 Road Hero”

It’s a pretty good Tune Setup - made 1.347,8 ft in the M5 FE.

I got it first time with the 2003 AUDI RS 6 and a S2 941 tune/upgrade by STEVEtheP1R4TE called Forzathon.

Will have a go with that, didn’t think that any of the retro saloons would get to S2.

Thank you very much

I used the 2003 Audi RS 6 - maxed everything.

I gave it all a go with the Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500. Set it up with my tune ‘Just Cos’. It’s an S2 tune, and it’s a bit of a goer. Got nice grip to it, and I had no problem with the jump. It also handled the street race nicely, as well.

I used an S2 tuned Sierra Cosworth and did it first time. I tried also using an S2 913 tuned Volvo 250r to do it as well but it took me like 8 goes to get it in that. I think that car is either too heavy or the tune was too squirrly.

Also for the super saloons I used a BMW M2 with the Raceboy77 tune. Great car with great tune for A 800 events whether it’s dirt or tarmac.

That was the Apollo trial wasn’t it, with the wet conditions reversed in races 1 and 2?

Used the Centenario - it’s the tune I use for wet racing in ranked which I think is by AvazEZ - but I see Breeminator has shared a trial specific one which I’m sure will work great. I won races 1 and 3 but had a bit of a nightmare on race 2 - got shoved into a tree at the start and the framerate then went a bit jerky in the rain, before a light touch of a traffic car sent me sideways past a checkpoint. Team won 2-1 overall - winning races 1 and 3 comfortably enough.
