Spring #Forzathon Shop, Festival Playlist events and rewards through February 13

The Trial this week is full of team mates who simply plow into others at full speed on corners thinking they will get ahead but in reality screw everyone else up.

After other team mates quit i was left with the idiots who drive Lego Senna’s. Race 1 we won, Race 2 we lost due to Lego drivers ramming left right and centre and Race 3 i didn’t give the Lego drivers the satifisfaction of a win in the Trial (which i was first and we had the points) as i stopped 100 metres before the finish line and let the drivatars win.

Lesson for all you rammers out there. YOU don’t want to race as a team then i won’t HELP you and i will gift the race to the other team (especially if the drivers left are the one’s who caused grief during the entire event).

Oh and those who wish to quit right at the beginning of the race, please move off the track first, as you ruin the start for others who want to get to the front quickly.

The Tofumobile is, well, what it is. A poor man’s Silvia.

I have to applaud Playground for trolling the kids and forcing people to run the Supra almost stock. What a breath of fresh air!

And no, I’m not being ironic. This was actually a brilliant idea.

@manteomax: There are two Hoonicorns in the game, but only one of them is exclusive, which is the Gymkhana 10 variant. I’m not sure which one is being awarded for that Championship.

The clue is in the nickname. The exclusive Hoonigan Gymkhana 10 Ford Hoonicorn Mustang is nicknamed “Hoonicorn V2” while the Hoonigan Ford “Hoonicorn” Mustang is nicknamed “Hoonicorn” and is available in the Autoshow.

I shared a “Maxed out” tune for the BMW M5 FE that can comfortably hit the danger sign, and 2 of the 3 PR stunts, if anyone wants to try it. So there’s potential to combo the PR stunts with the weekly Forzathon. The one I couldn’t quite do was the speed zone, because I lost too much speed in the corners. A good driver might have better luck with it.

I went back to an A class tune for the street race, though. No need to get silly.

I was excited about the Is That A Supra…Forzathon Street Scene event in which you can win the AE86 Corolla…until I attempted it…the first time, I came in second because in every race, the AI was driving like clones of the Stig…I was trying to maintain a high speed to keep up but for alot of those sharp turns…you have to slow down…well I did…when i did’nt …exaggerated slides , missing checkpoints…traffic cars in the way, I got bumped more than a few times by Rival AI…even held back by one car…who was flanking me and trading paint …on purpose…my second time, I came in fifth when I tried to change the sequence of races by quitting the first one and then doing the others…the Supra which performed like a champ outside of the active races…acted like it caught a case of Turbo lag everytime I was racing…it either acccelerates slowly on the straight aways or over accelerates during the turns…damn near have to start braking a noticeable distance from a turn or the whole car will crash into a fence or something…AI was a little too smooth…making little to no mistakes…these avatars are supposed to be based on players from Friend list…I know Joewon , the infamous Forza former moderator and one of the top Youtube video gamer content providers…is one of the racers out there…he is hard to beat even as a Avatar but come on, it seems like the programmers made this challenge difficult on purpose…I will keep on trying…I will probably be more successful but after work, my patience and time is limited…I have improved significantly as a player since I first started playing Forza and I have been crazy about Horizon since the beginning but I wish they would have released a Toyota car pack instead of the challenges…that way, I could just buy the car …I know somebody is going to say it is more fun this way…but what about the people who are too busy to play Forzathon for hours on end…or the people with low skill levels …they will probably have to wait until the car pops up in the Forza shop or in a wheel spin if they are lucky!

Yeah, starting with Derwent isn’t ideal for an S2 event because it has a tight corner fairly soon after the start but late enough that at S2 the entry speed is high. I was shunted off there by someone going more or less full speed both times I did the trial last night. It’s then a pain to try and work through the field without getting taken out again.

I suspect the Lego Senna is actually one of the best cars available in this event (not that I’ve any particular wish to drive it). Didn’t see anyone driving it in the two events I did but it’s actually not a bad choice if you don’t mind the fact it’s Lego!

I’ve uploaded a video of me doing this with my “Seasonal EasyWin” tune. I beat the drivatars on Highly Skilled by 8, 12 and 10 seconds in the 3 races, so it can be won by someone that amount slower than me. Most people should be able to get within 10 seconds of my performances with a bit of practice to learn the tracks. Note that you can keep restarting each individual race over and over again, so you can keep doing the first race till you win it, then move on to the second race and keep doing that till you win it, then the same for the third.

Wow!!! Nice leads, i didn’t get anywhere near that. Was lucky i guess on the unbeatable mode due to getting to the front pretty quick then i basically hammered it without looking back

The gaps would have been smaller on Unbeatable, but I did it on Highly Skilled to provide a reference point for people who are struggling to unlock the new exclusive car, assuming they’ll have it set to the easiest permitted difficulty.

I got it first try, man. Have a go at it again.

So did I …

Git gud
It’s easy

What for, the Trial or the Seasonal?

The Seasonal is easy enough. The Trial? No idea, but it’s S2, so skills are required.

Regarding the Windmill Danger Sign, the car you need is a 1995 BMW M5, which is very cheap and has the Lambo V10 swap. It can hit 370+ kph before the jump and will easily clear it.

Original response was to the seasonal for the trueno
Thread got merged here
The stock supra can win it easy without much skill

The difficulty here is that you have very little wiggle room for tunes. However, it is very possible to win this one.

  • First of all, don’t set the difficulty too high. Just set it to ‘highly skilled’ (I think that is the minimum req for the prize car, right?)
  • Don’t be afraid to use rewind.
  • Thirdly, try to drive smoothly. The AI are almost always unrealistically good at taking corners. Take your time driving smoothly, not losing too much on them. Don’t push too much as you will likely slide all over the place. Be really careful on the throttle.
  • At 50% of the race the first bump of extreme rubber banding will kick in, which should get you close to or past the few you maybe have left in front of you. Another boost of rubber banding kicks in before the finish line.

I won this fairly comfortably, even though I raced against unbeatable drivatars, so there’s quite a bit of margin for people slower than me to still be able to beat highly skilled drivatars. My tune is shared if you want to try it. It has exactly the same power and weight as the stock car, but a lot of upgraded parts to make it handle much better, such as the fattest rear tyres and race suspension which then let me tune the balance of the car. The way to use it to overtake the drivatars is to use the superior handling to pass them on the inside of corners, going through the inside checkpoint flag.

Rewind is your friend if things go bad. And btw. even if I was able to do it on first attempt (I drive with very bad vision), then it shouldn’t be that much of a problem.
