Looks like another good season with some nice reward cars. The Trial should be fun with classic racers, lots of potential to come up with suitably silly combos there. Playground games is going to be a giggle too, wonder how many will turn up to mudkickers running the normal road tires?
Oh, and just a reminder that the Quartz Regalia will also let you unlike the mighty Regalia Type D via the skill tree. One of the more ridiculous cars in the game but surprisingly decent in races and just generally a blast to drive.
I happen to know I don’t already have the Prelude, so this could shape up to be a lucrative week. I do already have the Lotus 2-eleven, but we might be able to combo that championship with the tail end of the weekly Forzathon. I mean, it’s only one Slingshot skill, so it’s not a huge combo, but a combo none the less.
And the Trial prize being a high value autoshow car is great. Nice if you can get it, but don’t need to trip over yourself if you don’t.
I’ve probably dumped half a dozen Clio FEs on the auction house. They’re not exactly hot cakes. So PGG is completely skippable - just the way I like it.
It’s a near miss where the speed differential is > 200 MPH.
After complaining about the developer route at Mudkickers a couple of weeks ago, I’ll say that the technical route at the Quarry is how it SHOULD be done. It has a couple of problems, but it doesn’t have checkpoints appearing 20 feet in front of you. Overall, the community championship was very well done this week.
This seems like it could be just ridiculous enough to be a pretty good time. I think I’ll gladly throw away another clio FE for an excuse to hoon around in my rotary powered Caterham.
An S1 FWD Clio FE might also be a ‘fun’ option for this… ;|
I have all the cars I just dont think I have one i’ve used in S1. I’ll have to tune one up for the trial. It’ll be fun. There are maybe 10 or 20 cars I have tuned that I used regularly. Everything else is stock lol
Yeah, I’ve been experimenting with importing homologated tunes for Classic Racers from Forza 7, and they tend to come in scattered between B and A class, since that’s where they like to sit. I’m not sure how they’re going to hold up in S1. Things that get comfortable around those lower and mid classes, can get a bit unwieldy in the higher classes.
